"Tsk!"

Ibadon hissed, realising that he had been played once again.

He felt a slight tingle coming from his right shoulder.

The attacks from so many lions and arkships coming at him at the sa ti had been so overwhelming that they actually pierced through the veil of nothingness to touch him.

It hurt, yes, it did - not a lot, but it hurt like a pinch.

It was an amount of damage that he wouldn’t even consider taking seriously.

But the fact that they had succeeded in hurting now ant that they could succeed again.

Ibadon would have kept to himself the fact that the overwhelming attacks had hurt him but it was so surprising that he subconsciously turned to look at his shoulder and he even paused his movents for a while.

Emperor Zain, having been pushed into a very bad defensive state, was relieved that all these lions were joining in on the fight.

This was like the saying, no matter how big an elephant was, it could still be bitten to death by enough ants.

And that was Kael’s strategy right now.

The All-King had decided that fighting this abomination could no longer be postponed. He could not wait until he beca an immortal before he dealt with the mistake from the past.

Ibadon would not let him rest.

If that was the case, then Kael was always ready to sacrifice everything to stay alive. Because, he couldn’t conquer the universe if he were dead.

And if Ibadon was planning on killing him first or doing sothing with him before wiping out the rest of the lion race, then Kael would not rest.

The lion civilization was going to be his at shield, his foundation. He would throw as many lions as he could at Ibadon until there were no lions left to send.

The All-King didn’t particularly care anymore about the rate of casualties. Most of them were sowhat weak and useless to him anyway.

They might as well make themselves useful by dying for him.

The All-King’s calm form moved back ever so slightly, creating more and more distance between him and the escalating battle.

The look of ruthlessness in his eyes was sickening and frightening. Most tended to forget about Kael’s machiavellian side, the side that was willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wanted.

Kael didn’t bat an eye. In fact, this was his most logical decision ever since he beca a Singularity.

And just as expected, Ibadon was not going to just allow the Emperor and the swarm of tyrants to keep on attacking him.

He was mighty, but not invincible. More than a billion lions were rushing him at the sa ti at this mont and it was indeed overwhelming if he did not do anything.

Ibadon stomped his front paw down. The void solidified underneath him and countless cracks spread out.

The corals were passageways into the Gap, black and empty of anything that could possibly be.

With that single Void Stomp action, Ibadon shaved off more than fifty million lions, many of which were tier 5 and tier 6.

Just like that.

Ibadon, of course, did not stop with one attack. He was rciless.

If the wave of lions was like a turbulent golden river, Ibadon was a dark ferryman of death fighting against the current.

His body shifted as it moved fast, turning into a dark beam blade that cleaved through the swarm.

Tens of millions were dying by the second.

Many more were still coming to join the battle.

Who was truly the master planner here? Who was the grand sche? Who was the one in control?

Ibadon? Kael? Or soone else.

Kael’s cold gaze watched the battle intently. His mind was constantly barking out commands that guided the actions of these lions.

They only had a few minutes.

After that, it would all be back to normal, the Conquering Mode Avatar would be deactivated across the whole civilization and the lions would rember their survival instincts.

By then, Kael would have no choice but to escape.

And he wasn’t sure if he would even be able to do that.

Suddenly, Kael’s perceptive gaze picked up sothing.

A glimr of light, a reflection from.a shiny surface.

Kael allowed himself to peel his eyes away from Ibadon and looked at the source of that glint.

There it was.

The Imperial Palace was gone, and the dragon guards had already been torn to shreds without an atom of resistance.

All that was left was the crystal throne that just floated there in its zero gravity field.

The river of many lions that were responsible for destroying the Imperial Palace had left to join the rest in attacking Ibadon.

They left the crystal throne on its own.

Kael’s brow furrowed.

He had wondered why Ibadon was suddenly so confident in fighting the whole lion civilization on his own and why he had brought the Imperial Palace along.

Was there sothing about the Imperial Palace? Was it symbolic?

Why was the crystal throne still left?

Crystals were strong materials but it wasn’t like they were unbreakable, especially not in front of stupidly powerful and stubborn creatures like the lions.

Then, Kael noticed sothing else. The crystal throne blinked.

Then it blinked again. The source of the light seed to be coming from the inside of the crystal throne.

"Hmm," Kael glanced back at the battlefield, his senses and the heavens themselves screaming at him about the danger coming.

Without confirming anything, Kael acted. Space and ti compressed and twisted around him.

Almost instantly, Kael teleported away. And almost at that very sa mont, a dark claw swiped from below.

Blood was spilled.

Kael appeared next to the crystal throne, a few lions rushing to him as they sensed the distress signal from the system.

Kael’s eyes focused on the place he had been and saw Ibadon there, being drowned by the at flood of lions and a barrage of silver constructs.

That was close, Kael thought while taking note of the deep bloody gash on his back that was not healing.

Kael sighed. He looked at the dragon head held by his left hand.

That was close.

If not for ’that thing’ that he had prepared at the last minute, he wouldn’t have been able to slow Ibadon long enough to teleport away.

Surely, just as Ibadon was fighting, a look of confusion appeared in his black eyes. He knew that he should have actually killed the All-King at that mont.

Sothing had intervened, sothing had drained a bit of his power when he got close to Kael.

He was very familiar with that feeling actually as the last place he felt that draining sensation was on the Battle Planet.
