Far away, on an unknown planet.
City of Landan.
Today, the city of Landan was at its knees as one single syndicate had managed to almost crumble all the systems at the sa ti.
The sound of police sirens echoed in different parts of the city as the police officers drove around attempting to suppress the rising attempts of anarchy.
The value of stocks was crumbling fast, the military industry was held up and could not go anywhere, the politicians were holed up in their panic bunkers, the wealthy families were packing up and boarding the next flight to leave the country as soon as possible until the heat died down.
All this was done by one extrely determined woman.
"It’s a sha..." The voice of a woman echoed from the top of a roof as she walked to the edge.
The city of Landan was in a very modern era but the dress of the young woman seed to be a mix of the modern era and sothing else.
She wore a black tight-fitting sleeveless crop top and matching black baggy trousers with knotted ends that ended right above her bare ankles.
Beneath her ankles were her bare feet. She wasn’t wearing any footwear whatsoever.
She walked on the concrete rooftop with reckless abandon until she was standing at the edge with one of her legs raised and placed on the ledge.
Wrapped around her waist was a purple cloth that covered her legs all the way to her knees with a vertical gap in front.
The purple cloth seed to be a coat or a cardigan that she would have worn over her crop top on any normal day.
And it matched the black and purple face cap she had on her head.
The black and purple face cap she was wearing was unique, it was mostly black with a purple lion design on the left and right sides.
Hiding under the car was a fluff of pink hair.
She stood majestically where she was with her head raised high as she observed the city she had nearly crushed.
"It’s a real sha, don’t you think, Teez?" She said with a particular accent that was unique to those who lived in Landan.
She folded her arms and looked below where she saw so hoodlums wearing the sa cap that she was wearing, running about and smashing so windows with the stones in their hands.
"If we had just accounted for those pesky human rights activists, we could have succeeded on ti," A deep voice echoed from behind her as a large young man walked up to her.
The man ca to the edge of the rooftop too but stood slightly behind. He was larger than her yet it looked like she had a much more dominant aura than he.
The man had brown skin, the sides of his head were shaved and the rest was a clump of long black dreads that was tied into a knot behind his head.
He wore a small trimd beard which looked like it was just growing out. This large man was still very young after all.
He wore a white-blue hoodie that failed to hide the broadness of his shoulders or the majesty of his presence.
His eyes which stared into the horizon flashed with blue electricity occasionally.
"There’s always so pussies tryin to play the hero, Teez, it’s fucking annoying..." The pink-haired woman who was none other than Ruda said with a sigh.
"Besides, it’s not like we failed, we just didn’t do it within the ti we set for ourselves," She added.
Teez shrugged his shoulders, "Taking down the world governnt would take decades for any other organization. We managed to do this much within five years.
I’d call that a win even though we had to use superpowers."
Ruda shook her head, "To take down any governnt, you have to take advantage of any leverage you can find.
Our leverage is the monopoly over the awakening of superpowers.
We have let the governnt understand the true aning of Might Makes Right.
Why should anyone listen to the weakling when they can shape the world with their own hands?
It’s a pity it has to co to an end. I would love to see how this place turns out in the future now that superpowers have been introduced into society.
Do their laws still have aning? Or will new laws rise? How would the ordinary people hold their ground, or will they have to grovel like the weaklings they are?"
As Ruda asked herself these questions, she had no malice in her heart for the humans, just a cold observation from her perspective.
She had caused a superpower apocalypse.
What next?
"So I guess the ti has co then?" Teez said and sighed.
Ruda nodded, then looked at the golden screen that flashed in front of her eyes. Then she turned to look at Teez.
"It’s too bad Blues turned out not to be a Lion, innit. We could have taken him with us," Ruda said.
Teez sighed, "At least, we could leave this world to him. Didn’t you say we alien lions like keeping vassals to manage our territory and stuff?"
Ruda smiled, "Yeah," She said, "Try not to call them alien lions in the future if you don’t want to get beaten up."
Teez chuckled, it couldn’t be helped. The way Ruda described the lions, she made it sound like they were intergalactic alien kings who had serious issues with their pride, egos, and individual strength.
Sotis, he found it hard to believe that he was one of them. Maybe that was why he and Ruda got along so easily before.
And all the others she found in this world in the last five years, he noticed that he got along with them quite easily.
It would have been hard to believe all these things if Ruda had used her words alone. But she had explained with her actions and the powers she had, helping them awaken a fraction of the power hidden within them too.
"Rudy or should I say, Ruda?" Teez called, "What would have happened if you didn’t get your mories back?"
"Rudy is fine," She corrected, "Nothing. That’s the thing.
Nothing would have happened.
Everyone would have continued living their boring lives, unaware of the great designs happening amongst the stars.
You are happy that you found your true fate, are you not?"
Teez nodded, "I am, just that I’m going to miss this place."
"One hundred years from now, you would not even want to visit this place even if I paid you," Ruda chuckled. Her eyes caught a plane falling from the sky in the distance.
Teez saw it too.
"Really? One hundred years? That’s a lot," Teez said honestly.
Ruda just shook her head. She could not explain to him how short one hundred years was compared to the lifespan of a lot of creatures.
What Teez and the humans considered a lifeti was what others above considered their Nap ti.
"When will it start?" Teez suddenly asked.
Ruda glanced back at the golden screen.
"It had already begun..."
