Ragnar blinked as he looked around.
The scenery changed from the endless abyss back to his kingdom.
Imdiately, he raised his hand upwards.
A brigade of tree branches rushed towards Samyaza, who remained still.
Crunch, boom!!
Hundreds of sharp-edged branches crucified his body from all directions.
Ragnar clenched his fist, and the branches moved, shredding Samyaza's body into pieces.
"...."
His cold golden eyes filled with spirals followed them.
Then a blink later.
"That was overkill."
Samyaza's voice echoed within the forest.
Ragnar turned to his side where he stood completely unhard.
"You can't die."
Ragnar concluded, turning his body towards him.
"Paradox Apostates can't die. They are ant to survive the end of Lumina or until he is revived."
Samyaza replied while stretching his body.
"There was a ti when killing us was possible, but not anymore."
The more Samyaza grows in strength, the more he realizes how hopeless the situation is.
The further he goes, the clearer it becos.
The more Samyaza grows in strength, the more he realizes how hopeless the situation is.
The further he goes, the clearer it becos.
Whatever he does will end in one outco.
The revival of the Creator God.
Ragnar stared at him as he slowly dissolved the kingdom around them.
The destroyed reality started to replace the forest.
"Are you going to believe what he told about Creator's will?"
Samyaza asked, looking at Ragnar, who turned around.
Glancing back over his shoulder, he replied. "I will check if he told the truth or not myself."
Just before they left the abyss, Sabaoth had already told them a few things.
Things that looked like they were completely in their favor, but they both knew there was more to it.
A being like Sabaoth wouldn't tell them anything without ulterior motives.
"Just a reminder."
Samyaza said, looking at him.
"The one whom you saw isn't the real Sabaoth."
Ragnar halted in his track.
He turned around, frowning. "What?"
Samyaza smiled. "I have known him for quite so ti. The one we saw wasn't Sabaoth."
"..."
Ragnar remained confused, unable to understand his words.
"Hm?"
Samyaza looked up for the resurrection orb, but much to his surprise, it wasn't there.
He wondered where it had gone before his gaze landed on the confused Ragnar.
He pointed at the empty space above him. "Did you take it?"
Ragnar looked at him. "No."
Samyaza shrugged his shoulders. "Okay."
Unfolding his wings, he flapped them, moving high in the air.
"I will see you soon."
Samyaza said, looking down at the high-elf.
"I have a prince to attend."
Saying so, he flapped his wings, vanishing into the sky.
With his hands clasped behind him, Ragnar stared back at the sky.
He turned around.
Having gotten a lead for the Creator's will, he didn't want to waste any ti.
But—.
"Who took the orb?"
He wondered aloud, looking down at the destroyed city.
****
A woman with long platinum hair walked towards .
Her lifeless grey eyes stared into mine.
"Can we talk for a bit?"
Esray asked, tilting her head.
Anger crawled under my skin, grabbing onto my heart.
It felt suffocating, as if I would drown if I didn't let it out.
"Himl?"
Shyamal squeezed my arm as if sensing my condition.
I drew in a deep breath, staring at my mother who stood right in front of .
Finally, I asked. "What do you want?"
Before she could reply, a shockwave erupted from the middle.
Everyone's gaze moved to the source.
A man with long crimson hair floated in the air, his long elongated ears giving away his lineage.
The anger that had barely been suppressed burst once again.
Unbothered by anything, Ragnar looked around the place.
His gaze briefly landed on Esray, then on Gwenyra, who sat on the side.
"The resurrection orb is with soone within the city."
His voice only reached those who were at least Overlord rank, as I could see normal people remain oblivious to his voice.
Saying so, he turned around before vanishing from the place.
Just as he moved, the city started to shift once again.
Those who were active quickly returned to helping others.
Within all this, I could hear so people recognize Ragnar.
The one who was supposed to be dead according to the church.
And even I don't understand—.
'Why would he show himself now?'
Before I could ponder on it, the world around shifted.
Gone were the open, destroyed city—now, we stood at the enormous hall.
I looked up, finding the giant lady sitting on a lifted platform.
Looking around, I found a lot of people within the hall.
Edel, Edwin, Mortis, and even the pope Donus, who was as pale as a vampire.
"You heard Ragnar."
The giant—Gwenyra said, her voice booming.
"Who has the orb?"
No one replied.
And even if anyone had it, why would they?
'Ragnar said it was a resurrection orb.'
I thought, looking at everyone's reaction.
"Are you alright?"
Shyamal asked softly, making look at her.
I gently nodded. "I am fine."
'Either way, there wasn't any way she could check everyone's belongings.'
There are quite a lot of ways a demigod can hide things from others.
Mainly by using their Kingdom, and no one will ever get to know its location.
"I will grant one wish." Gwenyra announced, looking at everyone. "No matter how dire it may be, I will complete the wish. Just give the orb."
"...."
Even though, I felt tempted I remained silent.
There is only so much a demigod can do.
And—.
'Having an object to revive others can always help.'
Gwenyra whispered softly. "Did Vamin run away?"
I frowned.
Who is Vamin?
I couldn't even think about it as—
A hand slowly raised in the air.
It was Lysander.
"...."
My gaze slowly shifted to look at Mortis.
He too had a surprised look on his face.
'Wait, he didn't—.'
"Yes?" Gwenyra asked looking at him.
"I noticed Himl coming out of Ragnar's kingdom."
"...."
A complete silence lingered within the hall room.
Then—.
Everyone's gaze shifted towards .
Cold sweat trickled down my forehead as the giant's gaze bore at .
"Please step forward, Heir Himl."
Taking in a deep breath, I followed her instruction.
Slowly making Shyamal let go of my hand, I stepped forward.
Gwenyra narrowed her eyes. "Did you take the orb?"
Shaking my head, I replied. "I did not."
"Is he lying then?" She questioned, pointing at Lysander.
I calmly looked at Lysander, his gaze t mine.
And I noticed sothing peculiar.
His eyes—.
They conveyed a sense of desperateness as he looked at .
"I have no idea why he would say that." I replied, turning back to look at Gwenyra.
Gwenyra studied for a while.
Her silence made uncomfortable but I kept my face stoic.
"Check his belongings."
A voice echoed within the hall room, Edwin's voice.
"I am sure he is hiding sothing."
I turned to look at him. "Don't let your personal feelings suggest stupid things."
"If you don't have anything to hide then why be afraid?"
He asked, tilting his head slightly.
"And if anything, I would rather believe you create a miracle and stole sothing from the demigods than let you off without doubting your words."
Look at this fucker.
He has more trust in than I have in myself.
I fully turned towards him.
"And what if I don't have anything, What will I do with my broken heart?"
My lips curled up slightly.
"I know! What if I take away your granddaughter's purity just to ease my pained heart."
A heavy pressure clamped on my shoulder that almost pinned to the floor.
A low grunted voice echoed from Edwin's mouth. "Watch your words, boy."
"Don't try to assert dominance on a child, Edwin."
Mortis's voice echoed within the room as the pressure vanished.
"It's unbecoming of a being of your status."
"Enough both of you."
Gwenyra's voice shut them both down.
She looked at calmly. "Show your space bracelet."
I drew in another deep breath before taking out the bracelet.
It floated towards Gwenyra without even doing anything.
My eyes narrowed down as I noticed sothing.
'She is using mana to act like telekinesis.'
That might be quite a good way to use Mana Manipulation.
I should try it soti.
The bracelet almost vanished as it landed on her hand.
Without a word, she inspected the content inside.
Normally she would need my permission to open it but it looks like she chose to break the mana recognition part.
A minute of silence stretched before she let out a sigh.
"It's not here."
Nobody had even tried to act surprised.
"I am sorry to doubt you, my child."
She replied, passing the bracelet back to .
"It's fine." I mumbled, nodding my head as I wore the bracelet.
"I would like to have so rest." Gwenyra announced looking at everyone. "Those who want to go are free to do so."
I blinked again.
Finding myself outside the building once again.
Esray stood right in front of while Shyamal beside .
"It seems you quite like the fiancé I chose for you." Esray said, her voice flat as always.
"What do you want?" I asked, trying not to lash out.
"How are things in Akasha?" She asked, tilting her head slightly. "Are your 'old' mothers taking good care of you?"
"Huh?"
My mind filled with confusion as I looked at Esray.
What does she an old mothers?
She studied for a mont.
"They didn't tell you anything?" She said, her eyes landed on my necklace.
I walked towards her. "What. do. you. an?"
Instead of replying she raised her hand to touch my forehead.
I placed my hand close to her chest.
A curved blade of mana ford in my hand touching her lower jaw.
Esray looked into my eyes. "What are you doing?"
"I could ask the sa question." I replied, staring back at her.
Even though a blade was pointed at her, she still touched my forehead.
A vision appeared in my head.
In the vast grassland, a single red door lay chained with a lock on it.
There was nothing else there, just a door.
My senses returned as I quickly stepped back from her.
"When you are ready to face those mories." Esray said, turning on her heels. "Open that red door."
Saying so, she started walking away.
"You have two minutes, Shyamal."
She said, walking further away.
"Say your goodbyes."
I sighed.
My gaze shifted towards Shyamal who ca forward.
Before I could even say anything, her soft lips t mine.
Grabbing her waist, I brought her even closer as I kissed her back.
She didn't let go of my lips until it was hard for her to breathe.
But—.
Her hand wrapped around my thorat as she pulled back.
"I hope you said that to piss that Vampire." She whispered, gently scratching my neck.
"I still hate her." I replied, kissing her forehead. "And I don't think that's going to change anyti soon."
She let out a small smile. "Hopefully."
Then, leaning forward she kissed my neck before she used her teeth to leave a marking.
"What are you doing?"
"Marking what's mine." She replied, gently wiping my neck clean with her sleeves. "Anyway, I will see you soon."
With that, she kissed once more before walking away.
Just when she reached Esray, they both vanished in thin air.
I sighed once again and turned.
Mortis walked towards along with his grandchildren.
And—.
I stared down the Asura prince.
The only one who opened his mouth in front of Gwenyra.
"I will arrange for you guys to move back to the wedding."
Mortis said, patting my head.
"Hopefully, you will reach there without any problem."
I nodded slowly moving back.
Mortis then looked at . "Whatever happened with the knights... Just be aware of the pope from now on."
I nodded softly.
"Then, see you soon."
Saying so, he vanished.
And a few Asura quickly ca to take us away.
