’....She also ca here, huh?’

The Princess of House Atretic...

....And The [Main Heroine] in the Third Ga.

I drew in a deep breath as I opened the door of the room.

And I was imdiately greeted by the now dressed-up Daina who stood on the side.

Aimar, Elijah, and Amuary stood on the side waiting for my arrival.

Daina gave a look over before she fixed the side of my dress.

"Most all of the people are already here," she said, her voice soft. "Including so unwanted ones."

"...Yeah," I replied, letting her do it. "I sensed them."

Excluding the demigod from House Atretic, there was another of them.

The demigod and King of the Demiurge race.

"I don’t know what is going on in their minds," Daina whispered softly. "Why did they call them?"

"...Politics," I muttered under my breath, eyes narrowing. "They are definitely up to sothing."

Daina let out a sigh as she looked up at . "Just make sure nothing goes wrong today."

I smiled at her. "Don’t worry, I will make things right."

She blinked twice, looking at my face in a daze.

I blinked as well. "Hello?"

"You shouldn’t smile at single ladies," she advised, her eyes twitching. "They might get the wrong ideas."

I shrugged, not bothering to reply. I can’t be a stoic like my mother.

She turned on her heels and began to lead us out of the place.

Aimar, Elijah walked by my side and Amuary followed behind us.

I turned to look at Elijah. "When are you getting engaged?"

Caught off guard, he looked bewildered by the question.

"I..I don’t know," he replied, stretching his cheek. "Maybe soon...I hope so."

I nodded, wondering if they already did the deed.

[]

’He was supposed to have more girls, but it seems like Heather would be his only love this ti.’

[]

’I wholeheartedly agree.’

There is no point in getting more girls if you can’t handle one.

[]

’....’

I said sothing stupid,didn’t I?

The view in front of us got cleared as we reached the garden.

The garden had been changed to look much more beautiful.

Lanterns hanging from the trees, soft glowing lights floating mid-air.

A long aisle of crimson petals leading toward the raised altar beneath the sky.

As we entered the place, everyone turned towards us.

Noble families from every corner of Akasha were here.

On the side, I saw Edwin and Edel standing on the side.

Mariam stood close to the altar while Nerissa sat on the side.

The rest of the demigods of Akasha weren’t present or haven’t arrived yet for various reasons.

The place was too crowded for to see everyone, as I didn’t notice the Demiurges or the House Atretic’s demigod.

’My grandmother isn’t here....’

....Well, I wasn’t expecting her to co here anyway.

There were a lot of elves and vampires around the place and none of them seed friendly.

Not a single one of them was talking to each other.

Thousands of years of bloodshed and war won’t just go away.

I let out a sigh as Diana patted my back. "Go talk with the guests," she advised. "We still have ti for the engagent."

Saying so, she left my side and moved towards Mariam.

Aimar and the others also stepped aside as they left alone as well.

I resisted the urge to rub my temples as I smiled and moved forward.

The first to reach was my father-in-law.

Ledger smiled as he shook my hand. "You look great."

"Thank you," I replied politely, offering a light nod. "You don’t look too bad yourself."

There was an awkwardness in his voice that I fully understood.

From what he knows, I did force his daughter, but...

’I don’t know how to say anything here.’

It’s already hard as it is.

Ledger gave a look and leaned in a bit. "Father is readying the army for the war," he whispered. "We will help the elves."

I just smiled and didn’t reply to him.

Knowing how much of a fucker his father is, it was better to keep my words to myself.

Just as he was about to say sothing else, he paused, eyes looking behind .

I also turned around and I looked at them.

An old man who was taller than walked in my direction.

He had an intimidating presence that made everyone move away from him.

His robe was dark with golden trims, and a thin sword hung at his side.

Two antler-like horns protruded out of his head.

But I only gave him one look before my eyes shifted to the girl on his side.

She looked no more than in her early twenties with the sa antler-like horns that were decorated with gold.

The girl walked with poise, her golden eyes scanning the area like she didn’t care to be impressed.

She didn’t cling to the old man’s side—no, she walked slightly ahead of him.

Her white dress shimred with a soft gold sheen, catching the light in a way that felt... calculated.

Her every movent was elegant.

....Like a doll trained for the stage or a predator raised in a palace.

[]

’Yeah.’

The Princess of House Atretic.

Nariya.....

I kept my posture calm as they approached .

"Would you like to leave us alone?" I asked, glancing back at Ledger.

He nodded and walked away as they both stood in front of .

"Make a scene and I will cut off Vadanis’ hand," I said before they could.

"You dare!?"

The old man looked like he was about to burst out of anger but barely kept himself under control.

The girl, however, had a far more serious and deadly look on her face.

"Return my brother," she whispered, her voice venomous. "Otherwise I will kill—."

"I will take his finger as an apology for your threat," I cut in her words.

Before they could understand, I ordered my World Tree.

A branch moved out beside from thin air with a finger dangling from it.

The silence that followed was imdiate and suffocating.

The girl’s expression didn’t break. But her golden eyes narrowed just slightly.

The old man, however, took a full step forward, his aura flaring.

"You think this is funny, boy?" His voice rumbled low, slow, and dangerous.

"I think you don’t understand your situation," I replied, smiling at him. "This isn’t your place to play God."

He reached out for his sword but the girl raised her hand, stopping him.

"What do you want?" she asked.

"Wait, till the engagent is over," I replied, turning around. "Till then, please enjoy yourself."

[]

’Yeah, I can sense that,’ I replied, looking around the place.

The other demigods were giving a hard look, trying to understand what was happening.

Edwin must be aware of it, but Mariam was completely oblivious.

It’s already a miracle that she hasn’t killed all those who were around the place.

’Well, whatever.’

I should just get this over with and use Vadanis to my complete advantage.

A heavy pressure lingered between us as I walked away.

But....

I was imdiately stopped by a woman wearing a traditional gown.

Yennefer quickly grabbed my hand and dragged to a silent corner.

"What are you doing?" she asked, barely holding back her anger.

I blinked in confusion. "We are eting after six months and that’s what you ask—."

"I am not in the mood for jokes, Himl," Yennefer quickly cut in. "Why did you do that?"

I let out a sigh as I rubbed my temples. "I know what I am doing."

"No. You do not," she said, snapping my hand away from my face. "Do you have any idea who you are going against?"

"I do," I replied simply. "I know full well what I am against."

Yennefer stared at , her eyes sharp with frustration... and worry.

That was the part that made pause.

She wasn’t angry because of pride, but she was angry because she was scared.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked again, but this ti her voice was barely audible. "I told you to stay away from...."

"Hey," I whispered, placing my hand on her shoulder. "Look at ."

Biting my lips in frustration, she slowly looked into my eyes.

"I will do everything in my power to make things right," I said, my voice firm. "Please don’t worry."

Yennefer looked like she wanted to yell, to shake until I saw the danger the way she did, but instead, she just stared.

Then, slowly, her shoulders dropped.

"I hate this," she muttered.

"I know."

"I hate seeing you act like your mother."

That made wince.

She leaned against the wall beside , crossing her arms as she looked out toward the garden.

I wanted to say sothing else, but she quickly moved back and walked away.

When I looked back, I found Zenith standing on the side, looking at us.

"Zenith—."

She didn’t let say anything as she walked away as well.

’Urgh, what a pain.’

I rubbed my temples as I brought out all three of my children.

A cluster of white erged, turning into three kids.

"Go play around," I said, looking at them. "Just don’t make too much noise."

"Thank you~."

Iffa was the first to hug and then ran away with Wills just behind her.

Olivia looked into my eyes as she said, "Take care, father."

I nodded with a smile as she walked toward the vampire section.

Just when I was about to go back.

’...’

I felt a familiar presence walking inside the mansion.
