Chapter 461: [Dystopian Elven War] [37] [The Start of Fall]
His scream was muffled as I crushed his entire neck.
Bloody and crushed bones dripped down my hands as Imri’s body fell down.
“HIML!!!”
The other four exploded in movent as chaos gripped the place.
Phenex’s six daggers blurred at like bullets that I deflected with my blade.
“Ahhh!!!”
Dagan jumped at , throwing his axe over his head before slamming down at .
I deflected the axe away as I twisted and stabbed the halberd forward.
BOOM!!!
The strike was precise as the wind carried his body away.
Soren and Valerius rushed to check on Imri but I was sure they couldn’t save him.
Mana condensed in my hand as Phenex’s daggers thrust out of nothing to stab at my face.
I sidestepped, pivoted, and ducked around the spikes, slashing through those I couldn’t dodge.
“Too slow,” I muttered as I swung the halberd wide.
The shockwave blasted through the dirt, scattering daggers mid-flight.
Phenex stumbled back, shielding her face as the pressure knocked her balance off.
Dagan charged from my right, his muscles bulging and blood trickling down his temple.
I leapt upward, my body parallel to the ground as a barrier ford below my legs.
It broke into thousands of pieces as I burst forward towards Phenex.
Her eyes widened as she tried to pull back but I grabbed her hand.
I yanked hard, dragging her toward .
Before she could recover, my knee drove into her stomach, folding her in half.
Blood sprayed from her mouth as I shoved her to the side to deflect Dagan’s axe.
Dagan roared again and swung his axe in a wide arc, but I caught the handle mid-swing.
CRACK!
The wood snapped in half like a twig. Dagan froze, his eyes wide in shock.
I smashed the broken piece across his face. His jaw snapped sideways as teeth scattered to the ground.
He fell to his knees coughing violently and gasping for air.
“Is that what you amount to?” I asked, looking down at his body. “I don’t an to discourage you but this isn’t enough to kill .”
Phenex lunged from the side, daggers slicing for my throat.
I tilted my head just enough and her blades cut air. My hand shot out, grabbed her wrist, and twisted.
SNAP!
Her scream tore through the battlefield as her hand bent the wrong way.
I pulled her up and slamd her body over Dagan in a wide arc.
“Co on, do better.” I said, as they both groaned in pain. “Don’t you want to avenge Imri?”
Phenex and Dagan both stood up as Phenex fixed her hand by gritting through her pain.
Dagan roared again, but all that rage only slowed him down.
He swung a fist at but it looked clumsy to .
I stepped in, buried my elbow into his ribs.
CRUNCH.
He gagged, spit flying from his mouth. I grabbed his hair and ramd his skull against my knee.
“Don’t be a disgrace to High-Eternal, Dagan.” I said, making him face . “I am not even using my fucking blessing.”
Phenex screeched behind , trying to stab her dagger into my back.
I let go of my halberd and spun, caught her arm again, and drove my blade through her thigh.
She shrieked as the steel tore muscle from bone.
I kicked her away like trash. She tumbled across the dirt, coughing and bleeding.
Dagan tried one last desperate swing with his bloody fists.
I caught him by the throat mid-punch. His eyes bulged, feet kicking in the air.
“Where is your cockiness?” I asked, squeezing harder. “Smile like you usually do.”
His struggles faded as I slamd him into the ground so hard the earth cracked beneath him.
Phenex dragged herself up, limping, rage in her eyes through the tears of pain.
She was trying to crawl for a dagger in front of her.
“HIML!!!”
A sudden shout made look at Soren and Valerius.
His rage-filled eyes glared at while he was holding Imri’s body in his embrace.
“You took your sweet ti confirming his death.” I said, as I walked forward. “Are you feeling alright?”
I stepped on Phenex’s hand as I looked at him.
CRUNCH!
Her fingers shattered under my boot as she howled.
“Are you waiting for your other teammates’ death or what?” I asked, grabbing her by the hair. “They won’t last long.”
Soren glared at as he slowly put Imri’s body down.
Valerius also walked towards , his fat body abnormally red.
“Co forth.”
I heard Soren’s voice from behind Valerius.
“My Kingdom.”
The world around began to blur out.
I looked towards the Elven army one last ti.
There were hundreds of them watching with hopeful eyes.
But I found peculiar golden eyes with spirals holding concern.
—
My body began to float in the endless spatial place with countless stars.
Dagan and Phenex were now floating on the opposite side, getting healed by Soren.
Valerius grunted as he stood over a floating teoroid.
[]
I felt annoyance as I heard Inna’s voice.
‘Easy for you to say.’
His body was as large as a normal car, I could only imagine how much fat that is.
‘Not that it changes anything.’
“Huff…”
I exhaled softly as I condensed a Katana in my left hand and halberd in another.
Placing the katana over the halberd, I tilted my head. “Co at you fat fuck.”
His eyes were tearful, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth. “I will kill you!”
Valerius leapt, his enormous body tearing forward with shocking speed.
I braced, halberd angled forward as his fist ca down like a falling mountain.
CLANG!
The halberd shuddered violently in my grip. The sheer force of the blow sent skidding across a cluster of shattered rocks.
“Huff—”
My arms scread from the impact, but I shifted instantly.
When he rushed in again, I sliced across his forearm.
Steam rose from the wound as it began to heal.
I ducked under Valerius’s swing, driving the katana upward toward his throat.
He tilted just enough, and the blade carved a line across his cheek instead of ending him.
He slamd both fists down.
The space beneath shattered like glass.
The impact threw into the open void, stars spinning above.
But montum was mine to control.
I condensed mana into a chain and latched it towards a teoroid.
I yanked and spun the teoroid at him at an insane speed.
Valerius barely had ti to register before it slamd into his gut.
The force carried him into another teoroid.
It exploded under the impact, shards scattering like knives through the void.
I used it to my advantage as I leaped towards him, stabbing the halberd forward.
My halberd drove straight into his gut once again.
“URAGHHH!!” Valerius’s roar shook the stars.
I ripped the halberd free, spun, and slashed again with the katana and this ti carved across his chest.
The wound sizzled, fat knitting back together but slower this ti.
His massive hand slapped my body away as I tried to get a hold of myself.
[]
My gaze flickered towards Soren as he was healing the other two with utmost concentration.
Perhaps he was confident in Valerius to keep under control.
I rolled my shoulders, halberd spinning lazily in my grip as Valerius rushed at .
“DIE!!” Valerius bellowed.
His fists swung in wide arcs, creating shockwaves.
I weaved between them, steps precise, looking for weak spots his lumbering rage left open.
The katana cut across his ribs. The halberd carved down his thigh.
Each strike drew roars, each strike bought seconds but his body refused to stay broken.
Valerius swung both fists down again, aiming to crush completely.
I leaped, pressed my palm over his fist and jumped over his hand.
His fist crashed into nothing as I spread my arms in a wide arc and—.
BOOM!!!
Slapped both his ears, his eyes bulged out from the force.
Valerius staggered, clutching his skull as blood gushed from his ears.
I didn’t give him ti to recover.
My knee rocketed into his nose, bone crunching as his head snapped back.
Before his fat body could fall, I hooked my halberd under his ribs and lifted.
“Get up, you pig.”
The weapon howled through the void as I hurled him across the starfield.
He smashed through a floating boulder, shards of stone slicing his flesh open.
He tried to roar again, but all that ca out was a wet gargle.
I appeared above him, slamming my heel into his chest.
CRACK!
The impact cratered his torso inward, ribs collapsing like dry twigs.
He coughed blood into the void, face twisting in agony.
“Rejection of Ti.”
I whispered softly making the entire place turn grey.
Everyone stopped in their place as I began to float towards Soren.
Phenex and Dagan were now fully healed as they were looking at with pain and anger.
I used mana to float closer before I appeared in front of them.
They could do nothing as I grabbed Phenex’s face and twisted her neck.
I snapped her head out of her body just to make sure.
Throwing her head away, I grabbed a newly ford axe from Dagan’s hand and beheaded him.
Using chains, I floated back towards Valerius.
The ti resud as I slamd my fist on his face.
Valerius swung wildly, a desperate backhand fueled by pain. I caught his wrist, twisted it, and snapped his arm backward at the elbow.
His scream was guttural, broken, drowning in blood.
I drove the katana into his thigh, straight through to the bone, and wrenched it sideways.
Flesh tore apart, fat and muscle splitting like rotten cloth.
He tried to stagger away, dragging his ruined leg, but I kicked the wound.
He howled like a broken girl.
“Pathetic.”
I seized his greasy throat, fingers digging into the folds of fat.
His fearful eyes were now staring dead into mine.
“You know.” I said with a bright smile. “Fat burns like hellfire.”
He tried to attack but I continued.
“Muspelh.”
A bright blue fla imdiately engulfed his body, incinerating him completely.
I kept on using Muspelh, the flas lting even the boulder below him.
The flas only stopped when there was only his skeleton left.
“Huff….”
I exhaled as I finally focused back on Soren.
The man was kneeling on the ground, holding the dead body of his teammates.
I didn’t hesitate to rub salt on his wounds as I threw Valerius’s skeleton at him.
Soren didn’t flinch when the burned skeleton crashed in front of him.
The bones scattered, smoking, clattering across the void like brittle glass.
For the first ti since this war began… he didn’t seem confident.
“Imri. Phenex. Dagan. Valerius…” he whispered each na, voice breaking.
“You…” he said finally, lifting his head. His eyes were red from rage. “You’ve crossed a line you can’t return from.”
I tilted my head, “You crossed that line the mont Wilhelm fell.”
The space around us shifted violently.
The stars bent like the light was getting sucked away.
Soren stood. His aura surged outward in a tidal wave, shaking the entire battlefield.
The twenty asteroids that were floating around the place now gathered back towards him.
[ Inna’s voice rang sharply. []
‘Yeah.’ I lowered my stance as I condensed a Katana once again. ‘To destroy all the asteroids.’
Just to be on the safe side, I whispered. “Emperor’s Ti.”
The world around twisted as I felt an abnormal amount of energy crushing my body.
My hair, now completely white, floated around .
Soren wasn’t standing idle as his asteroids moved around.
One by one, the asteroids orbiting him began to spin.
The twenty asteroids flared, linking together in lines of golden energy.
In seconds, they weren’t just floating rocks anymore as they ford a colossal circle around him, a battlefield forged in his will.
The sight made my jaw tighten.
I pushed forward.
BOOM!!
The first asteroid hurtled toward , flas burning across its surface like a teor crashing through the void.
I raised my halberd, spun, and cleaved it in half.
The explosion scattered chunks of burning stone, but I slipped through them with ease.
The second ca from behind and it was fast.
I twisted midair, chain lashing out from my arm, and yanked myself away before it could crush .
The third I didn’t have to dodge as I braced, katana angled downward, and split it straight through the core.
My arms scread, blood trickling from my palms as the shock ran through .
“Three down…” I muttered, breath ragged. “Seventeen left.”
Soren didn’t flinch. He simply raised his hand.
The remaining seventeen began to glow.
“Good,” I whispered.
I vanished.
Space cracked where I once stood.
In an instant, I reappeared beside one asteroid, driving my halberd into its surface.
The stone shattered, fragnts scattering like shards of glass.
But another was already behind .
I twisted, crossed both weapons, and barely blocked before it slamd into another asteroid.
The asteroid vanished as Soren appeared instead.
He stabbed his sword in my back and it pierced right through .
I bit down my scream as I pulled myself out of it by kicking him.
His body was thrown back and the wound began to heal itself.
My body began to float once again as Soren appeared in front of .
‘Tch.’
The lack of places to stand my ground annoyed a lot.
I deflected his strike before I kicked his chest to pull myself back.
“Neplh.”
I whispered and in an instant the world around froze.
I didn’t shy away as I froze the entire Kingdom as I found a place to stand.
Soren’s face was locked in a snarl, sword raised above his head.
“Perfect…” I whispered, planting my foot on the frozen surface of a shattered boulder.
My halberd spun lazily in my hand, and then—
CRASH!
I swung with everything I had.
The frozen air cracked like glass as my blade connected with Soren’s chest.
He went flying, his body tearing across the void like a ragdoll, smashing through three suspended asteroids.
The rocks shattered into dust, breaking apart into glowing fragnts.
But I didn’t let him fall.
I chained to the last piece of rock, yanked myself forward, and drove my knee into his stomach mid-flight.
“GAHH—!!” Blood exploded from his mouth. His eyes rolled white.
I grabbed his hair and smashed his skull against a frozen teor.
The rock cracked under the force—then shattered completely when I slamd him a second ti.
“WHERE is your arrogance now, Soren!?” I roared, bashing his face again and again.
Each impact sent shockwaves rippling through the Kingdom.
The groundless void scread as fissures opened in the frozen world.
He tried to swing at , sluggish, desperate.
I caught his arm, twisted, and snapped it completely.
His bone popped like dry wood. Soren scread, his face twisting in agony.
“Don’t stop screaming now,” I hissed, driving my fist straight into his jaw.
Left hook. Right elbow. Knee to the ribs.
Every strike bood like thunder.
Every blow crushed bone, tore muscle, snapped sinew.
I grabbed his throat again and slamd him down onto another asteroid.
The impact cracked it in half.
Before he could even breathe, I yanked him up and hurled him into the circle of orbiting asteroids he had once controlled.
BOOM!
One after another, the stones shattered as his body tore through them.
His precious Kingdom collapsing under his own weight.
I was on him again before he could recover.
Chains lashed from my arm, wrapping around his torso.
I yanked him in, halberd raised high—
SLASH!
The blade carved across his chest, splitting him open from shoulder to hip.
Blue flas instantly ignited in the wound, searing him from the inside.
His scream this ti was raw, broken.
“Why are you doing this to !!!” Soren scread making stop in my track. “WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE ???”
He glared at with his broken face. “I just wanted a normal life—.”
I didn’t stop to hear his bullshit as I punched his face again.
“Rejection of Ti.”
I whispered, stopping everything in place.
Using this ti, I floated upwards as I began to crush every asteroid.
When I resud ti, the Kingdom vanished and we returned back to the battlefield.
“Huff…”
I let out a soft exhale as I looked at the crowd around before I looked at Soren crawling away.
“Huff…”
Since when?
When did I get so strong that even a Peak-Eternal doesn’t seem much.
I closed my eyes to gather my thoughts before I walked forward.
Grabbing his hair I pulled him up before I ford a dagger and placed it on his throat.
“For Wilhelm.”
I whispered before I beheaded him completely.
