'You aren't escaping today.'
As soon as I closed my eyes, a 3D image of the area around ford in my head.
I expanded the area to my maximum capacity and information imdiately swept inside my mind.
A sudden change in the space imdiately caught my attention.
I opened my eyes and my shoulder blades twisted, and two wings protruded out of my body.
I glanced at Aimar once before I flapped my wings and twisted my body to reach the outside.
In an instant, I flew high in the air and simultaneously created a wormhole above .
I passed through the intersection of space, the world snapped back into focus as I erged from the wormhole.
And there he was.
Oliver, standing at the top of a mountain.
With a single flap of my wings, the air behind detonated.
The world blurred into streaks of light and shadow as I chased him across the sky.
Oliver, who was just about to move, glanced up at .
His eyes widened when he saw how close I was. "What the—."
"Stop here," I shouted over the roaring wind, "listen to —."
"I don't wanna." Oliver shouted back, his body vanishing once again. "Leave alone, don't be a toxic ex!"
His body vanished as soon as my hand reached his face.
Fuck!
I imdiately looked around and found him just a few kilotres away.
Without wasting ti, I blipped toward his direction.
I reappeared just above him, the air around bending from the force of my teleportation.
Oliver turned, his expression twisting into disbelief. "Seriously!? You tracked again!?"
I didn't bother answering.
With another flap of my wings, I dropped straight toward him, the air screaming as I descended.
He raised a hand, light flaring around his body. "You're insane—!"
BAM!
My knee slamd into the ground where he had stood half a second earlier, the impact splitting the mountain's peak in half.
Rocks exploded outward, a shockwave tearing through the air as I rose through the dust.
"You can run," I said, brushing rubble off my shoulder, "but you can't hide in my kingdom."
Oliver's voice echoed faintly from above, teasing and sharp. "Yeah? Well, catch if you can, featherbrain!"
I looked up, spotting his golden aura streaking across the sky.
'He's faster than before.'
[]
I vanished again.
Space twisted, the air folded, and I reappeared right in front of him mid-flight.
He vanished and appeared above my head.
Oliver grabbed his genitals as he barked. "Suck my—."
I imdiately turned, flapped, and burst close to his face.
He vanished and appeared just a small step away.
At this point, I was getting really annoyed.
Without a second thought, I ford knives of ice as I threw them at him.
They sliced the air with a faint whistle, aid straight for Oliver's chest.
He barely dodged them, though I was sure he didn't have to.
"Be more civil, bitch!" He snapped. "I don't wanna lose my precious gems."
I didn't answer.
I forced the world to slow, just enough, and watched the ripples where his phasing bent reality.
Every ti he blinked, there was a tiny cooldown. He was fast, but not infinite.
I dove.
Wings folded tight, I dropped through his ghost-trail and closed in.
He blinked, tried to vanish, and my hand clipped the edge of him.
I vanished with him this ti.
I felt his entire weight as I grabbed him by his shirt.
We were at the top of a building.
Oliver dangled halfway off the rooftop, one boot slipping against the ledge.
His golden eyes were on as he stared down at my face.
The wind howled around us, tearing at our clothes and hair.
"Alright." he said, raising both hands defensively. "Stop acting like you want to murder ."
"Stop running," I said flatly.
He blinked. "Running? Bro, I was strategically retreating! There's a huge difference!"
"Oliver." My voice ca out more serious than I ant. "You think this is funny?"
Oliver sighed, shoulders sagging. "Don't get involved in my matters, Azariah."
"Since when did it beco 'your' matter?" I spoke softly. "You know how miserable I was when I lost you?"
"I know—."
"You know shit!" I snapped. "You would have told if you cared, fucker."
Oliver's jaw tightened, the teasing look finally slipping off his face.
"…I stopped because of Valcina." He said softly. "She asked to keep it to myself… so I don't get betrayed once—."
"I would much rather die than betray you, fucker." I said, and he nodded as well. "Why did you even listen to that stupid—."
"Isis." Oliver cut off. "I made a deal with Isis."
I frowned, looking at him. "What type of deal?"
"She will help deal with my enemies." He spoke flatly. "In return, I will provide her with her son."
My grip on his shirt tightened as I glared at him. "Edel doesn't need a fucking goddess'—."
"Edel isn't my only enemy." He cut off. "I made a lot, and I need to kill the one I hate the most."
"…..Who?" I asked, looking deep into his eyes.
Oliver smirked. "Why should I tell you?"
"Oliver—."
"This is my fight against my own fate, Azariah." He spoke, looking into my eyes. "Do not take it away from ."
"…Aaliyah." I spoke, feeling bitterness in my throat. "….I tried to keep her safe—."
"Don't talk about her." He said, his voice serious. "….What happened wasn't your fault."
He looked into my eyes. "But it doesn't an I don't hate you for it."
"...."
[]
"….Are you going to show your face regularly?" I spoke softly.
Oliver smiled. "I need to look after my little brother." He said. "I will be in touch."
I remained silent for a long while as I stared at him.
Finally, I let go, and his body imdiately fell down.
Oliver smiled before he vanished from my sight.

---
After dealing with Oliver, I returned back to my ho as I found Aimar outside.
He quickly walked toward as I landed on the ground.
"Did you talk to him?" He asked, looking at . "What did he—."
"I fucking hate him." I replied, letting out a sigh. "But he said he will be in touch."
He nodded, rubbing his temples as he looked at .
"….That's all Lilith's fault." Aimar grumbled. "She is the one who is ssing with his head."
"...."
I quietly looked at him as my mind reeled up.
Oliver smiled before he vanished from my sight.
---
I have already seen Oliver using Lilith's blessing and he seems attached to her as well.
'....'
Is she really fucking with his mind?
