Before he could understand, cold steel was placed on his neck.
"You want Naraka," my voice echoed within the room. "Why don't you take it now?"
Yomiel's pupils shrank as the cold blade pressed deeper into the skin of his neck.
A single drop of golden blood slid down.
"…Azrael…" Yomiel whispered, his voice suddenly very, very small.
I didn't move as I kept Naraka on his neck.
"You aren't so powerful for soone who has lived for so long," I said as I glanced at the others.
There was a silence between them, like they were gripped by unimaginable fear.
Only Samyaza had a gentle smile on his face, like he was enjoying a show.
Yomiel swallowed slowly. "Do not push—"
"The only reason you are alive right now is because your mission will help ," I cut him off imdiately.
"Otherwise, I wouldn't mind killing another angel."
"Whoa, whoa." Samyaza quickly raised his hands. "Don't be too harsh on him."
I looked up at him as I felt the muscle in Yomiel's body twitch.
"Try attacking him and you will die," Daniel said in a sweet voice. "You know that, right?"
Yomiel didn't speak, while Samyaza raised his hand in defeat.
"Why don't you put the weapon down for now, Himl," he said, keeping his calm as always. "And join us."
"...."
I didn't respond as I kept staring at the man.
No matter how much I try to understand, there is sothing really off about this fallen.
[]
Inna's serious voice echoed within my head.
[]
I patted Yomiel's shoulder with Naraka. "Stand up."
He trembled with anger but stood up without complaint.
I took his seat while he walked toward the blade angel and stood by his side.
I rested Naraka across my lap, in plain sight.
Samyaza's smile only widened.
"Excellent," he said, clasping his hands together. "Now, shall we continue?"
"Before we begin," Tamiel spoke, his voice gruff. "I want to know sothing."
Samyaza turned to look at him. "What is it?"
"Why is he still alive?" he said, pointing his finger toward . "Why haven't Satan and Morningstar co after him yet?"
Samyaza turned to look at , and his smile only widened.
"Morningstar is not here," he said.
"And I am keeping Satan in check until Himl grows strong enough to keep himself alive."
Tamiel's expression hardened.
"You're keeping Satan in check?" he repeated slowly, as if the words were physically difficult to digest.
"Since when," he continued, "has anyone been able to 'keep' Satan in check?"
Samyaza shrugged lightly. "He believes in . That's all I need to deceive him."
"..."
A silence lingered within the place while I kept looking at Samyaza.
