Evan made the first move.
His body ignited in searing orange flas as he shot toward Leor, the distance between them vanishing faster than a blink.
Leor reacted instantly, coating Luminaris in law energy and bringing it down to et Evan's oncoming strike. At the sa ti, a volley of lightning-coated arrows and chains infused with death energy surged toward Evan from behind.
A split second before impact, he felt Kael's Authority of Impermanence activate—the power behind the attacks spiking threefold just as they were about to hit.
But in that split-second, a crimson fla barrier erupted around Evan, consuming the attacks in its blaze.
Leor imdiately leapt backwards to avoid the expanding inferno, and just as he did, a colossal beam of divine destruction descended upon Evan from above.
Evan swung his sword in a sweeping arc, unleashing a wave of destructive flas that split the descending beam cleanly in two.
The severed halves veered off course, their energy dispersing into the surroundings just as the attacker abruptly cancelled the beam and shifted to the side to evade the counterattack.
For a mont, Evan's gaze locked onto the attacker—Dorian, now in the form of an Ancient Black Dragon—but he quickly turned his focus to Varok's sword streaking in from the right and Malrik's scythe carving towards him from the left.
His left hand extended in Malrik's direction and a sword of green flas materialized—a construct forged from INDIGO's Ember Genesis and GREEN'S Flas of Life.
He swung it upward, clashing against Requiem, while Vanquisher t Duskfang with a resounding clang.
Then, in a blur, Varok twisted his stance and swung Dawnbreaker toward Evan's neck, while Miresi unleashed a barrage of arrows faster than a gatling gun at full power.
The orange flas surrounding Evan's body burned brighter and surged down his right arm. He bent his head to avoid Dawnbreaker, and in that instant, the flas surging down his right arm exploded outward, blowing Varok away.
With his now-freed right arm, he swung his sword to deflect Miresi's arrows, while he constructed spears of green flas around Malrik and unleashed them, intending to turn him into a pincushion.
This forced the god of Death to pull back his scythe and swing it to block Evan's flaming life spears.
Spear of Zenith!
Leor's spear struck down from above like divine judgnt, but Evan didn't evade.
Instead, his entire body dissolved into pure fire.
Luminaris phased through his intangible form, its divinity slicing nothing but empty space. In that sa mont, Evan latched onto Leor's arm, his blazing form engulfing the god in searing flas.
Leor reacted instantly, reinforcing his skin with divinity, but it wasn't enough. Fire raged across his body, scorching deep into his flesh before he wrenched himself away to avoid further damage.
The mont Leor retreated, Evan re-solidified, twisting into a spinning slash and unleashing a sweeping 270-degree arc of flas.
The inferno roared outward, consuming Miresi's arrows mid-flight and forcing Kael and Varok to pull back. Malrik's and Sylvara's chains of restrictive death also disintegrated into nothing under the inferno's fury.
Then, a shadow covered Evan and when he looked up, his eyes t Dorian's giant claws wreathed in destructive energy descending as he slashed downward.
Evan flashed out of the attack's path, curving through the air before shooting back toward Dorian's head, his leg drawn back, poised to strike.
But just before impact, a sickly purple barrier oozed into existence over Dorian's scales—poison, conjured by Orothis.
Its presence made no difference to Evan. His leg ignited in sarthim's Yellow Flas of Purification, the cleansing fire burning away the toxic barrier as his kick connected with crushing force.
'Surging Impact.'
The orange flas that coated Evan's body surged down to his leg, condensing with the force of a star. The sheer power behind the strike blasted several of Dorian's scales clean off, sending the massive dragon hurtling through the air.
As Dorian was thrown back, Evan conjured another spherical barrier of fire, shielding himself from Sylvara's incoming magic long enough to regain his balance.
Then, without a second's hesitation, he dashed out of range, shooting down towards the ground.
The mont Evan landed, a flurry of attacks closed in from all sides—two blades, a scythe, a fist, and a spear, from his left, right, front and back respectively.
Faced with this onslaught, Evan simply activated his Ultimate Skill.
Prismatic Inferno Authority.
The instant his Authority activated, the four attackers' eyes widened. Sensing it, they imdiately cancelled their attacks, their montum reducing to zero in an instant, and they retreated, just as small, flickering spheres of energy materialized around Evan.
Dots of fla, each glowing with a different hue of the rainbow, filled the air.
Miresi fired a volley of arrows toward the spheres, but Evan released the attack before they could reach them.
Prismatic Nova.
Each sphere detonated with the force of a star.
A colossal wave of destruction erupted outward, consuming the battlefield in a blinding inferno. The ground beneath them was annihilated, entire sections of the planet completely erased.
But just as quickly as the blast spread, the energy was suddenly retracted, collapsing into a concentrated sphere within Evan's palm. From the sphere, a barrage of beams aid directly at the Kyrexi was unleashed, forcing each of them into defensive positions and compelling them to invoke their Universal Law Authorities.
Even though the attack hadn't reached its full destructive potential, the sheer force of the blast wrenched Kyrexis Pri from its orbit, shifting it downward relative to its star's position. The superplanet itself trembled, quaking under the strain of the impact.
But Kyrexis Pri was no ordinary world, it was an artificial superplanet possessing specialized chanics designed to stabilize its position. Over ti, these systems would correct its displacent, drawing energy from its host star to restore its lost mass as well.
As for those currently fighting on it, none of them was weak enough to be hard just from a re planetary shift. While a few million were thrown off balance by the planetary shift, it was little more than an inconvenience.
anwhile, back at the ruins of the Zenith Bastion, Evan streaked through the air, his sword, Vanquisher, clashing repeatedly against Varok's twin blades.
As Vanquisher clashed against Duskfang and Dawnbreaker for the thousandth ti, Evan unleashed a burst of magic power, creating a shockwave that sent Varok skidding backwards.
Barely a breath later, a massive dragon claw, dripping with destructive poison, ca crashing down from above.
Evan spun, swinging Vanquisher upward to et it, the impact reverberating through the air. When the poison splattered toward him, he instinctively activated sarthim's YELLOW flas of purification, burning the venom away before it could reach him.
'Poison? The Hydra, perhaps? That ans he'll soon go full Chira… Guess I have to act.'
Without hesitation, Evan repeated his tactic—another burst of magic power sent the dragon's claw recoiling, forcing Dorian's massive limb back.
In that sa mont, he ignited flas beneath his feet, accelerating skyward just in ti to evade Miresi's arrows, Leor's piercing light spears, Orothis' twisting poison vines, and the skeletal hands of death clawing up from below.
Backflipping through the air, Evan landed atop Dorian's back—almost.
As he descended onto the god dragon's back, Dorian's tail instantly sprouted jagged spikes and lashed toward him. Evan swung Vanquisher in a curved arc, deflecting the strike, and using the montum, he brought his sword down on Dorian's scales.
But just before impact, all montum behind his strike abruptly vanished, his blade barely brushing against the god dragon's back.
'Tsk… Leor.'
Having lost his montum, Evan didn't hesitate to detonate the flas enveloping his sword, sending a blast of scorching energy rippling across Dorian's back, shattering a portion of his scales.
Simultaneously, his left hand shot forward, slamming down onto the god dragon's massive fra.
Just before Evan's palm connected with Dorian's back, a parchnt inscribed with glowing runes materialized, and he slamd it on the god dragon's scales.
The instant it made contact, Dorian's instincts scread danger.
His body instantly morphed, and countless spikes of destruction law energy erupted from his back, aiming to impale Evan. But the flas covering Evan's body roared, lting through the spikes and scorching Dorian's scales faster than they could pierce him.
The fire seeped into the gaps between his scales, burning the flesh beneath, but Dorian paid no mind to the pain.
Instead, his serpentine neck elongated and turned, his maw opening wide as a torrent of destructive energy surged forth in a devastating breath attack.
Yet before it could reach him, Evan swung Vanquisher and Unleashed Hell—a cleaving slash that split the breath attack clean in two before surging forward, colliding with Dorian's face in a fiery explosion.
Before the flas could even settle, a barrage of attacks rained down from all directions. But just as they got close, they t an invisible force—an unseen barrier shimring in the air.
The attackers' eyes widened as none of them had sensed the barrier's presence until the mont their attacks collided with it.
A translucent sphere now enveloped Dorian's massive form, inadvertently shielding Evan who was on his back as well.
The source was none other than the parchnt Evan had placed on Dorian's back, its runes no longer confined to the paper. Glowing symbols had spread across Dorian's scales, inscribing themselves onto his body, slowing his movents and disrupting his energy circulation.
...You… this…! Dragonslayer…!
Dorian could barely string words together as even his mouth's movent was heavily restricted.
Seeing the realization dawn on Dorian, Evan let out a chuckle before speaking.
"I knew that when faced with a powerful opponent, you'd rely on your Chira form, basing it on the strongest transformation you have at the ti.
Right now, this Ancient Divine Dragon is your most powerful solo transformation. I vividly rember you dragging along to weaken the Divine Dragon with my godslayer powers just enough for you to kill it and add it to your list of transformations.
And this 'thing' I used? Well, it only works on beings with dragon factors—sothing you definitely possess in this form.
So, thanks for being so predictable."
The night before, Evan had casually ntioned that he'd gotten friendly with dragonslayers just to obtain sothing from them. This was that 'thing.'
This was also why Dorian's instincts had scread at him earlier, warning that one of them would have been taken out of the fight if they had attacked after using Disintegration.
The one who would've been eliminated was him.
Evan had prepared a dragon seal.
"Banish."
The runes activated and the magic sphere encasing Dorian—which had inadvertently been blocking the other gods' attacks—began to contract.
Dorian's enormous body shrank rapidly, compressing smaller and smaller until he was no larger than a tennis ball.
Then, he vanished—hurled into a Dinsional Crack where he would remain sealed for a ti.
It wasn't a permanent imprisonnt, of course. But Evan didn't need it to be. He just had to deal with the remaining seven while Dorian was out of the picture.
As he turned to face the gods, their stunned expressions made it clear they could no longer sense Dorian's existence anywhere in the galaxy.
Cracking his neck, Evan smirked.
"Shall we continue?"
