Yellow Star Stroay
Stroay Star System
March 31st
531st Divine Year
Yellow Star Stroay, the centre of the Stroay Star System, blazed with a golden brilliance like always.
Its radiant light bathed the nearby planets in warm hues, providing a crucial source of energy and life.
On March 31st, 531st Divine Year(Stroay Divine Calendar), it was this very star that illuminated the world where Evan had just made his dramatic descent.
On the side of the Stroay facing away from the planet, a tumultuous solar storm erupted with violent ferocity. Eruptions of plasma surged through the star's outer layers, casting an awe-inspiring spectacle of swirling, fiery tendrils.
Amidst the chaos of charged particles and coronal mass ejections, a distinct figure erged from within the star. When comparing size, they were infinitesimally small compared to the giant of a star, but their presence exuded an aura that could overwhelm it.
It was the figure of a tall fair-skinned woman with long waist-length black hair that curled at the ends, noble gold-coloured eyes, and doll-like facial features.
She yawned and stretched like soone who had just awakened from sleep, a surreal scene considering she was at the centre of a solar storm.
Just then, the space in front of her rippled and distorted, before breaking open into a spatial gate from which a second person erged.
This new entrant was also a woman, with white-coloured hair and black eyes, dressed in what could only be called a rugged hiking outfit, consisting of a fitted, dark grey jacket with multiple pockets and khaki pants.
The two won stared at each other for a good 10 seconds before the white-haired one finally spoke.
|Um…what are you doing, Kayla? |
She addressed the gold-eyed woman who had just erged from the Star before them—the Spirit Empress Kaylatheurge—and in response, Kaylatheurge just yawned once more before speaking.
"What? Never seen soone nap in a star before?"
|…yeah, I'd understand if it was a Pheonix like Revi, but you're NOT a Pheonix. |
The white-haired woman replied with a shake of her head, but Kaylatheurge just waved her off and spoke.
"Spirits, Phoenixes, we're all the sa."
|That's like saying gods and Celestials are the sa. We're NOT. We're two completely different races that have zero roots connecting each other.
So are Spirits and Phoenixes. |
"…"
Kaylatheurge just stared at the other party in silence for a good 10 seconds. Since she had no words to refute their logic, she decided to divert the topic of conversation.
"Did you co here just to lecture , Rilene?"
She called the na of the white-haired goddess floating before her—Rilene Xagna—the goddess of Ti and Space.
Evan would certainly recognize this woman if he saw her, after all, he'd seen a statue of her in the Hall of Statues in Wolfen.
Xagna: 'She who shapes Space itself'.
Naturally, there was no way he would NOT recognize the spirit she was conversing with.
Among the group of six people that Evan had encountered in the first few monts of being in the past, he recognized two to be owners of Energy Factors that future Artemisia had told him about.
BoL's Light-Space: Alvey.
Frostshade's Ice: Sigesi.
Also ntioned by future Artemisia, was that Kayla's Lightning Energy had also been absorbed, so the place the spell sent him should have been sowhere near Kayla's location at this point in ti.
If you considered the distance between the Star Stroay and the planet orbiting it which was over hundreds of millions of miles to be 'near', then yeah, she was near.
This Star just happened to be the one that Kaylatheurge was using to cloak her presence from causality at this point in ti.
It was only right after Evan got blasted from the future that she was leaving, and she encountered the goddess of Ti and Space.
|That's right, I was chasing a trail!
I sensed this really big, and scary space-ti distortion. |
Hearing Rilene's words, Kaylatheurge's eyes narrowed as she replied.
"A Space-ti distortion is one thing, but you of all people calling it scary is another thing entirely."
For the goddess who governed Ti and Space to find this particular distortion to be 'scary', then Kaylatheurge felt the entire galaxy should be on guard.
"I'm curious now."
|Well, I guess you should kill your curiosity since I lost track of it.
Whatever caused this space-ti distortion just vanished right before I appeared in front of you. |
"That just makes it even more alarming."
The source of such a thing just 'vanishing' was a serious cause for concern, but sohow, Rilene didn't seem too worried.
|I tracked it down to this Star System, but as you can see, there are 12 planets here. I have no idea which one it could have possibly co from. |
When Rilene said this, Kaylatheurge arched her brow, before pointing in a certain direction and speaking.
"Um…that's a really big Pri World over there…
Sounds like the kind of place you should look."
Rilene turned in her direction and indeed, there was a Pri World amongst the planets orbiting this star. It was a relatively young one, only having held that status for a few years, but it was still a Pri World all the sa.
|That one's a no-go. I don't like the guys who're in charge of this sector and they have dealings with that world.
Besides, Gozon is invading that one and there's a pact that prevents Deities from interfering in the war. |
After a brief pause, Rilene scratched her head and leaned in, as if straining to get a better view of the planet. Suddenly, her eyes brightened, and she exclaid.
|Oh! That's where my daughter is! |
Hearing her, Kaylatheurge's jaw dropped. She stared at Rilene, and then at the planet that had over a billion demons on it. Her gaze moved back to Rilene, checking to confirm that the woman in front of her was really a goddess before asking.
"Mind enlightening why your ONLY daughter is on a Planet with over a billion demons. And not just any demons, but GOZONIANS!"
|…|
Rilene was silent in the face of her question, before looking Kaylatheurge in the eye and declaring with confidence.
|Trust when I say that I have no idea whatsoever. |
"Do we have Interstellar Child services? You need to be put behind bars."
Kaylatheurge genuinely wanted to know what kind of mother would let her daughter enter a world teeming with demons who wouldn't hesitate to slaughter a teenage goddess at first sight.
'Oh, wait…this idiot in front of would.'
She thought this as she glared at the white-haired woman who only laughed at her words and replied.
|Don't worry, she'd be fine. Uvton's daughter is there with her too. |
"Uvton? As in, Uvton Delgasso? The sa one I know?"
Kaylatheurge couldn't believe her ears. Did all the Aidosian god Rulers smoke so elven weed while she was asleep or sothing? If not, then why in the seven dinsions were they letting their daughters into dangerous places like a Gozonian Battlefront world?
Even more concerning was Rilene's strange confidence that her daughter would be fine simply because Uvton's daughter was there as well.
|My little girl went over there for sothing, and Uvton's daughter went after her to bring her back.
Sohow, they ended up eting the new Progenitor that the Demon Kings have been making noise about, the one they say fought a Transcendent while being a Legendary.
Anyway, that guy is friends with McEnda III, and since McEnda II is friends with Jamie who has his eyes on that world for so reason, the Progenitor told Jamie about so fate and ti manipulation stuff through McEnda II and Jamie told , and since it made sense at the ti, I gave the okay for her to remain there. |
"…"
Kaylatheurge dumbfoundedly stared at Rilene after hearing her concise explanation. Then, she took a deep breath and smacked the back of the goddess' head.
"You're crazy."
|I know. |
Rilene candidly admitted it, and Kaylatheurge didn't even know how to react to this. If it was any other world, she'd have dragged Rilene down there to pull her daughter out, but she just heard a na that made her hesitate.
"You said Westley has his eyes on that world?"
|Yeah. |
They called different nas; Rilene said 'Jamie' and Kaylatheurge said 'Westley', but they were referring to the sa person.
The 'Demon King of the Void', Jamie Westley.
