'Is it in his Unique Skill tab?'

Evan was tempted to look, but he restrained himself from appraising Arthur's Unique Skills. His instincts urged him to avoid that area, especially because of Arthur's Extre Nothingness.

He had just seen Arthur use it to behead an Inferior Sovereign, and that hadn't even been his most potent strike!

But it wasn't just the power of the skill that alard Evan; it was its special property of 'Erasure' that made his instincts scream for caution.

Just then, Evan sensed a surge of magical power. He looked up from Arthur's status board to see the boy conjuring a Summoning Magic spell.

"Arthur, you sure calling that lot would be a good idea?"

Standing next to Arthur was a man Evan didn't recognize—not a Demon, nor a Dark Dragon.

He was a fairly handso middle-aged figure, with tousled dirt-brown hair and a scruffy beard. His body was clad in partial armour that protected vital areas like his chest and joints.

"Though unruly, they are efficient killing machines if you put them in line."

Arthur replied to the unknown man who silently glanced up at the three-headed Hell Hound beside him. Seeing how the Hellhound glared nacingly at the summoning circle, which was emitting a pungent sll of sulphur, the man let out a weary sigh.

Curiosity piqued, Evan walked over, activating his appraisal skill on the unknown figure.

Sensing the appraisal, the man turned his vampire-red eyes towards Evan and the Rogue Hero raised a hand in greeting.

"Yo! Na's Evan."

Pointing at Arthur, he continued his introduction.

"I'm supposed to be this guy's aide."

With a casual shrug, he finished his introduction, and Stelan glanced at the blank badge spot on Evan's uniform before responding.

"I am Stelan."

He gave a simple self-introduction and Evan nodded before turning to Arthur and asking.

"Any idea what he's up to?"

Before the older godslayer could answer, the air was suddenly filled with the scent of blood, and from the depths of the summoning circle erged beings with jet-black wings, their forms wreathed in flickering flas.

Their forked tails swayed gracefully as they surveyed the clouds of smoke and fire rising into the sky, grinning evilly.

"Oh, strange boy. You've called us again!"

The leader of this group exclaid, his evil grin widening as he looked at Arthur. Then he glanced at Evan, raising an eyebrow.

"This isn't that dragon you were with last ti, right?"

Arthur ignored the man's question, his attention focused on the summoning circles while Evan appraised him. Upon seeing his race, Evan's eyes widened in surprise.

'Infernal Devils…they're the ones who defeated the Celestials and hunted down the 'Fallen Celestial Deities'…'

Evan had never expected to encounter Infernal Devils in such a manner. Their presence reminded him of Faulin and the others, and he couldn't shake the thought of the Infernal Devil King who had vanquished Faulin.

As he pondered this, he noticed Arthur dismissing the magic circle he had conjured. The boy looked up at the Devils, his tone commanding as he spoke.

"Head west. You'd see a group of Leviathan Devils aiding so Demons and Hellhounds in battle against Aramisian Divine Soldiers.

Kill the Divine Soldiers only."

When Arthur gave his command, one of the Infernal Devils raised a brow and spoke.

"Huh? Why just the Soldiers? Those ones are usually boorish and hardly have nice screams…

It's those weak little non-fighters who give the nicest screams."

"I know, right? Especially when you kill their families before their eyes."

"That's the best!"

Several other Devils chid in, echoing the sentint. Sensing their enthusiasm, the leader turned back to Arthur.

"Let's Kill those non-fighters too…"

It was then that Alvey arrived on the scene, his gaze narrowing at the Devil who had spoken.

Gozon was waging a war of 'Conquest,' not 'Extermination.'

The non-fighters—civilians—were valuable human resources essential for maintaining their rule once they had fully conquered Aramis. Thus, unless absolutely necessary, they typically refrained from killing civilians.

Of course, If they had no other choice, they would not hesitate even for a split second though…

Still, it was obvious Alvey was displeased at the Devil's flippant attitude toward their future resources.

He understood the Devil was unaware of the situation, and he was about to intervene when Arthur raised a hand to stop him.

Arthur extended his left hand toward the Infernal Devil, who was suddenly yanked toward him with imnse force. In one fluid movent, Arthur seized the Devil in a chokehold and slamd him onto the reinforced concrete floor.

His right hand, crackling with destructive law energy, punched down onto the Devil's chest, tearing through flesh and shattering ribs as if they were re paper.

Just as Arthur was about to grasp sothing within the Devil, the law of summoning's power surged around him, enveloping the Infernal in a flash of light that whisked him back to his ho world.

"Ah…couldn't get his soul fast enough."

Arthur remarked casually, shrugging as he looked up at the remaining Devils.

"Does anyone need to repeat my earlier words?"

"…"

Silence fell over the group, but the unspoken response was clear: a resounding 'NO'.

Arthur had shown no hesitation in targeting the Devil's soul, the very root of his existence. If he had succeeded in claiming that soul, the Devil would be irrevocably lost—no amount of summoning magic could save him.

"That's what I thought.

Now, move it."

As the Infernal Devils took flight in formation, Arthur turned to Stelan, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.

"See. They're efficient if you put them in line."

"…"

Stelan found himself at a loss for words, while Alvey simply shook his head with a weary sigh.

"Don't do that too much or the Law of Summoning may temporarily penalize you for 'killing' your Summons."

After he gave Arthur this little piece of advice, he then turned his gaze towards the Triton's Ark where thousands of soldiers were still disembarking at this very mont and asked.

"Would you be okay for the rest of the day?"

"I've still got half my energy so I'm good to go."

"Very well, then.

Let's begin with Phase 2."

It was ti to demoralize the Aramisians by displaying Yedrist's corpse.

Alvey eagerly anticipated the impact it would have on the soldiers, especially those hailing from clans or countries that revered Yedrist as a Sea Deity.

With these thoughts swirling in his mind, he unfurled his wings and sped toward the other end of the Triton's Ark, where Yedrist's lifeless body awaited its grim showcase.

◇ ◇ ◇

"Oh, McEnda. When next you see your dad, tell him thanks for the Blessing."

"The what now?"

McEnda's reaction was completely understandable as there was so much context missing in the words Evan suddenly spoke at the sight of him.

Not bothering to waste his words, Evan simply showed McEnda the 'Blessing of Corrosion' and understanding flashed in the man's eyes.

"Oh, I see.

So, he was watching. He could have just said so."

McEnda shook his head as he spoke, before turning to see the giant severed Leviathan Heads hanging in the sky kilotres away.

Evan also turned his eyes in that direction, and he voiced out his honest thoughts at the sight.

"Arthur really has horrible taste."

"Tell, about it."

McEnda III replied to Evan's words with a shake of his head. He had that sa reaction when Arthur proposed this plan to display the Leviathans' heads.

Atop them, Arthur and Alvey were seated, discussing how to create a new combination technique which they'd use to nuke a few more military bases before lunchti.

"But despite his 'bad taste', his plan is working wonders for us."

Evan couldn't help but agree as even those who did not despair at the sight of the dead Yedrist, did so at the sight of Alvey.

Long before Alvey was summoned to Aramis and appointed General, he had already made a na for himself as part of the Gozonians' 'Wild Card Protocol.'

Evan was familiar with this protocol and was intrigued by the tales of Alvey's exploits.

Back when Alvey was still a Major General, he had just completed his last Mid-Level World mission, earning the title of 'World Conqueror.'

His strength had reached the level of Inferior Transcendents, making him the perfect candidate to eliminate two particularly troubleso Aramisian Divine Human Generals who had stalled the Invasion of Gledea for far too long.

They also happened to be the biological parents of the young woman nad Rachel whom Evan had t, but that detail was irrelevant here.

What mattered was that from this mission, Alvey beca known as the 'Demon of Light' to the Aramisians.

He had appeared out of nowhere, killed two Generals, and fought Divine Human General Duskhand to a standstill before vanishing.

From that mont on, he was a harbinger of despair, and his actions over the past eight years had only solidified that reputation.

"I can already predict the Headlines on Aramisian papers tomorrow."

McEnda chuckled, only to abruptly fall silent as his gaze snapped toward a seemingly empty spot.

"Co out."

As those words left McEnda's lips, Evan glanced around, curious about who he was addressing.

Suddenly, the empty space shimred, revealing the figure of an unfamiliar man.

He had light blue hair slicked back in an elegant style, exuding a polished and refined aura, and his eyes mirrored the sa striking hue.

Like McEnda, he wore the Demon Army uniform adorned with three stars.

"Oh, Jabberwocky.

First ti I've seen you with the sa face more than once."

"?!"

McEnda called out the na of this Demon and it made Evan flinch visibly.

'He's Jabberwocky?! And McEnda's words…that ans this isn't his real face.'

Evan rembered the statue of the masked, featureless man he and Heather had seen in the Hall of Statues during the GEE-Wolfen War.

Jabberwocky: He, the Myriad Transforr.

It was a na and title Evan wished he did not know.

McEnda noticed Evan's reaction and guessed Evan must have been familiar with Jabberwocky in the future, and so did Jabberwocky himself.

This man was Alvey's most loyal servant, and he was already aware of Evan's unique situation.

Evan was about to appraise the man when McEnda's loud voice snapped his attention towards Arthur and Alvey.

"Are those guys creating a new magic spell right now?!"
