Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out? Chapter 1968: The Plane Of Souls
-----
"To further improve myself, I had to create a connection to the Plane of Fate," Alice explained. "The Systems created by the Gods of Reincarnation are fueled by Causality, which is born from Fate. Normally, the God of Reincarnation uses their own link to the Plane of Fate to supply their System with it, even after it’s sent to the Physical Plane. But because of how I was conceived and how we rged together, Sylphy, things changed. When your Status was ford and you rged with it, your entire existence shifted. Your Soul was elevated directly to the Plane of Souls, opening a kind of gateway through it, a passage to pure essence. That essence is then converted into Mana once it reaches the Physical Plane."
"So Soul is Mana?" I asked.
"Yes. That’s why Mana can influence even inanimate objects and grant them life, or how it can grasp elental properties—and even the laws of physics—and make them ’alive,’" she continued. "Runes are direct commands to the Soul within Mana. The more attuned the user is to an elent, the more obediently the Mana listens and shapes the elent according to the Rune’s dictate. But Runes are not rely orders, they are laws forged from Mana itself. Everything interacts in harmony."
"Fascinating," I muttered, my eyes gleaming with genuine awe. "I bet even Master Felicia doesn’t know this much!"
"I wouldn’t be so sure," Alice said with a small smile. "Anyway, because of that glitched System that beca part of both you and at the sa ti, we... beca errors within Reality, in a sense."
"...Eh?"
"Yes, sorry for the phrasing," she chuckled. "My father was negatively affected because he beca the direct conductor to that gateway to the Plane of Souls. He quickly chose to abandon and never supplied Causality to again. But the gateway had already ford, even after he left. I don’t know what happened to him now. I wonder if his superiors scolded him..."
"Is the Plane of Souls vast?" I asked. "Are there more Gods of Reincarnation than just one?"
"Reality is boundless, so there are countless Gods of Reincarnation—ranging from the smallest to the most ancient and powerful," Alice replied. "My father was a young one, responsible for a specific sector of the Plane of Souls that covered the Universe we’re in."
I nodded, though honestly I only understood about half of it. "Um, okay. So... to obtain the power of that Loot System, a connection to the Plane of Fate was established through the new System child you created."
"Yes," Alice confird. "Normally a System should never be capable of sothing like that, but the error we beca—and the gateway inside you—made us unique. I simply copied that gateway and repurposed it into a new lifeform tied to both of us: our son, the Reward System."
[The {Reward System} greets you. He says he’s looking forward to working together from now on!]
[The {Quest System} greets the Reward System but says she didn’t really need soone else handing out rewards.]
[The {Civilization System} says they are starving for attention.]
[The {Dungeon System} says the Divine Realm created by Armageddon is way too heavy and it’s hurting their back.]
"Wow, so noisy... calm down, everyone," I sighed. "So that’s how it is, then..."
The Gods of Reincarnation are entities born between the Plane of Fate and the Plane of Souls.
A System normally draws its power from the Plane of Fate.
And the origin of my power is a literal gateway to the Plane of Souls itself—my Soul constantly siphons essence from that Plane and converts it into Mana upon reaching the Physical Plane.
That explained the deep black hole I sotis saw inside my own Soul, the source from which my Mana flowed. That was the sa black hole where Curse had originally settled when I took him from Furoh.
His power had since beco part of my Spiritual Heart, but he had also helped perceive what that black hole truly represented.
Now that I finally understood the source of my Endless Mana—and why drawing too much placed crushing pressure on my Soul, as though it were trying to absorb more essence than it could contain without breaking—I also realized why my Soul grew so vast when I pushed it. With that clarity, I decided it was ti to leave.
"Alice, can’t we go now?" I asked. "I think I should return to my body."
"Ah, yes, sorry," Alice nodded. "I got so caught up explaining that I forgot— Wait. Although the Plane of Fate has no inhabitants... I’ve heard rumors there’s sothing. Or soone, at its center."
"...?" I frowned. "Who?"
"No idea. It’s just described as ’sothing’—sothing probably in charge of... everything," she murmured.
"...Everything?"
For a mont I pondered. Could that be so supre God? A being that ruled over all existence?
If such an entity truly existed, residing at the center of the Plane of Fate would make perfect sense.
"I wanted to check the Plane of Souls," Alice said. "Would you mind coming with ? It’s easy to reach now that I’ve established a connection to the Plane of Fate through you."
"Okay, but what are we doing there?" I asked. "I still have a dungeon to clear, Alice..."
"I know, it won’t take long," she promised. "I want to see if we can find my father..."
"W-What if he tries to take you away?" I asked quickly. "Wouldn’t he be furious with us? Wait—don’t be hasty!"
"But..." Alice paused, sighing heavily. "There are so many things I need to say to him, so many questions I want answered..."
"I understand how much it ans to you," I said gently, "but please think carefully before doing sothing reckless, Alice. We can co back another day. Nothing’s stopping us from returning later, right?"
"...Right," she conceded with a small nod. "Okay..."
Thankfully I managed to convince her, preventing her from doing sothing impulsive that could have disastrous consequences for both of us.
"Then..."
With her help, I opened my eyes again and found myself resting on the cold ice floor of the Glacial Dungeon. My Spirits and Familiars surrounded , their faces lighting up with relief and joy.
"Sylphy, you’re awake!"
"Sylphyyyyy!"
"Oh, thank the gods you’re awake!"
They were all so happy to see conscious again. I must have collapsed without warning and worried them terribly.
"Ugh, sorry for disappearing like that," I said. "Alice decided to take on a little sightseeing tour to another Plane of Reality for so reason."
"Huh?!" Ignatius exclaid. "What does that even an?!"
"Hahaha, well... long story short..." I gave them a quick summary of everything that had happened. They nodded slowly, grasping the broad strokes even if many details remained confusing without deeper background knowledge.
"That’s incredible—you learned so much!" Yggdra said. "And the true reason that god sent a System here... So the Invader Gods are actively interfering with the reincarnation of souls, harming the Plane of Souls? That’s really not good."
"But does that an we’re working for that idiot now?" Ignatius asked. "Not exactly, right? Even if our goals happen to align for the mont."
