Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out? Chapter 2011: You Can’t Hide Things From Your Mother
-----
After resolving several misunderstandings with my familiars, I finally managed to take a proper bath and get dressed. I did not want to order them around as if they were my slaves, so I refused to force them into anything they did not wish to do. Instead, I remained lenient. As long as they behaved and we explained everything properly to the others, I decided to let them take whatever shape they desired.
After all, it would be wrong to force them otherwise. They had the freedom to do as they pleased with their bodies and appearances, and I held no right to control that.
Still.
"Good morning, everyone!" I called as I walked downstairs. My family was already awake, though a few of my friends were still sleeping, including Aquarina.
"Ah, Sylphy. Good morning. You are quite the early bird today," my father said while cleaning the table.
"Breakfast is almost ready," my mother added as she cooked her heavenly dishes. "I heard you and your friends cleared many dungeons."
"Oh yeah, I did!" I nodded proudly.
"And that... a lot of other things happened," she continued, glancing at and then at the many familiars trailing behind .
"Sorry. I might have spoiled them a little too much. They like to stay close to all the ti," I sighed.
"Well, that is fine as long as they do not bother you," my father shrugged. "This house is big enough for everyone."
"I heard you managed to evolve your weapons to the divine level. Is that really true?" my mother asked, walking over to .
"Oh yeah, she did," my brother nodded. "She also did a lot of other crazy stuff."
Wait, did my brother just snitch on ?
"Did you tell her everything?" I asked.
"Not everything, but she kept asking... And are you even planning to keep all of this a secret? Sylphy, it is way too much," he sighed.
"Ah... maybe you are not wrong, but you should not snitch on your sister. At least let explain it myself," I said.
"Uh... sorry," he apologized.
Yeah, my brother was definitely a mommy’s boy. Of course he had told her everything.
"It is honestly a lot to process," my mother said.
"I guess so," my father nodded. "Divine weapons are not sothing just anyone can create. But our daughter does not really fit into that category of ’everyone.’ She is very unique... and honestly, very special. Our son as well, of course."
"Felicia wanted to see your weapons later. She is in her room," my mother added. "Anyway... can we see them? And it was not just the weapons, right?"
"Hm, yeah," I muttered, rolling my eyes slightly. "It was not just the weapons..."
I summoned Scarlet and Sapphire in their weapon forms, letting them pretend to be the living weapons they had always been. Yggdra appeared as well, clearly eager to speak with my parents.
"Woah?!"
"What the...!"
Both my father and mother reacted with pure disbelief as they saw Scarlet and Sapphire’s humanoid forms for the first ti.
My friends—Mist, Lara, and Ruby—who had just woken up and were eating breakfast with us, stared in surprise even though they already knew.
"So? What do you think, Miss Allan and Lady Faylen? Aren’t we beauties?" Scarlet chuckled, striking a sexy pose.
"Hey, stop acting like a clown," Sapphire groaned. She towered over everyone present. "Excuse her. She is a little weird."
"A-Ah... uh-huh," my father nodded, still stunned as he admired their striking beauty. I was fairly certain no man could simply ignore it, even if he was faithful.
My mother stood frozen, her mouth wide open in shock. "T-This is the first ti I have ever seen weapons transform into humanoid forms! They are no re divine weapons. I thought you had channeled a bit of a divinity spark or sothing, but this... this is completely different! Y-You have truly forged two Divine Relics—no, Gods!"
"Uh, I guess so," I nodded.
"With what materials did you even manage this, my daughter?!" she exclaid. "A-And did you even have the skill for it?!"
"I... well, my dungeon produced the materials. I used them when the ti for their evolution was right," I explained as plainly as possible, carefully omitting Armageddon for now.
"Can your dungeon even produce divine treasures?" my mother wondered. "T-This is incredible... I do not rember that ever being possible before! Did it change? But how? Sylphy, do you know how difficult it is to obtain divine treasures and materials in most places in the world?"
"I know..." I sighed.
"There is sothing else you are hiding, right?" she narrowed her eyes.
"My dungeon got upgraded, and that is all..." I said, crossing my arms and looking away.
"Co on now, Faylen. She is already grown up. You cannot keep questioning her and trying to know everything about her all the ti," my father said. "Let her be."
"I would, but she is the princess of this kingdom. Whatever she does may affect our nation as well," my mother replied. "Sylphy, tell what happened."
"Mom, it is not your business," I said firmly.
"W-What? Such insolence!" she gasped. "I am your mother, you know?!"
"And you have been away for almost three years. Do you think I am still the sa kid as before, Mom? I have grown up a lot. I am already an adult woman," I replied. "I will not let you ask a million questions all the ti. You do not need to know everything about everything!"
"If you did not have sothing important to hide, you would not be acting this way..." she sighed, shaking her head. "Is there sothing bad down there that you think will make angry?"
"..."
"I knew it!" she said, realizing the truth. "All of you, what is it? Tell ." She turned to my familiars, but they remained silent.
"Sorry, ma’am. We do not listen to you," Ignatius said with a sneer.
"Hmm..." my mother sighed.
Keeping Armageddon a secret was better for now. I did not want to create more problems once Aquarina’s parents learned that the enemy who had nearly killed them all was now my ally.
They would definitely not like it.
"Listen, Sylphy," she said, sitting down beside . "I am not trying to be a controlling mother. You simply have to understand how incredible you are. You possess imnse power and even resources that could rival our entire nation now, if you can truly produce divine treasures. You are, by all asures, an anomaly among anomalies. I need to understand what is happening. Because what if there is an accident inside your dungeon again, sothing related to what you are hiding? Or anything else connected to you? There will be too much missing context."
"But I told you it is not your business, and that I can handle these things myself," I said confidently. "I am not stupid, Mom. Stop treating like I am."
"I know you are not stupid. You are a smart girl," she nodded. "Have I ever called you dumb? You only make proud, Sylphy... and I am not mad at you for growing so strong or for having two divine weapons. If anything... I can hardly believe it because it is so amazing and incredible. I keep wondering how I ever gave birth to soone like you. Soone so extraordinary... It makes worried. People with so much power like yours often beco enemies of many others simply by existing."
"I do not need you to protect anymore, Mom," I said.
"You do," she replied, gently holding my hand. "A family protects each other. That is how it is."
"..."
