Despite the clear pain in which the knight was, one had to give it to him, his focus didn't falter as the short sword which was covered with a rock layer all of a sudden to then be slashed in a wide arc at Michael, suggested.
"Crushing Rain!", with a loud shout, the short sword exploded in brown battle aura and the previously simple slashing attack, turned into a wide area one thanks to the knight's martial art.
The layer of rock covering the short sword of the knight, exploded to then release small but sharp rock shards in every direction alongside the slash that was directly aid at Michael.

Continuous clinking sounds could be heard as the rock shards clashed with the remaining daggers thrown by Michael earlier, which were only recently about to reach their respective targets, naly the eyes, shoulders and knees of both enemies.
Michael on the other hand had flashed in ti to perfectly avoid both of the attacks of the knight despite his uncomfortable position since he was descending at high speed in a full vertical direction when he cut the arm of the knight.
On the other hand, anyone with half a brain could realize that the objective of the knight's previous maneuver wasn't to land a hit on Michael, but to block the remaining hidden daggers flying at him and the bishop and to force the enemy to put distance between them as well as to gain ti for their next move.
"Regeneration Banner", the bishop who had grabbed the severed arm of the knight while he blocked Michael's daggers for her, radiated a dim blue light as she positioned the severed arm a few milliters away from the place to which it originally belonged.
A small blue flag was then projected behind the bishop and water nether covered the knight's wound, successfully reattaching his arm.
"He actually cut through my battle aura armor as well as my flesh and bone as a whole", said the knight as he closed and opened his palm a few tis to make sure his arm's functions had been properly restored.
"Well, it's not like it wasn't expected, that's why I was chosen to team up with you after all", added the bishop as the blue flag behind of her was dispelled.
A few dozens of tes away from them, Michael raised an eyebrow at the elental affinity of the bishop, earlier she had been nether without any elent to act as a barrier and to track him down, so her affinity wasn't revealed until now.
It also didn't help that Michael and the others were facing completely new opponents, since these guys weren't the team that accompanied queen piece from the Balax team, originally.
'Well, it's not that surprising considering they got to see my affinities before… that healing ability is still annoying though', thought Michael.
He being a wind and fire affinity mage, it made sense that the team tailored to deal with him had water for the support role which also counters his fire while the vanguard in charge of directly clashing with him is a knight with earth affinity that counters his wind, in other words this result was expected by them from the very beginning.
And that also ant that just like him, the enemies were testing the waters previously and as if to confirm the previous, the knight took a deep breath and then his body exploded in nether battle aura.
"Booom!", a pillar of brown battle aura raised into the sky with the knight as its origin before he shouted.
"Light Infantry Armor!", all the battle aura released by the knight was absorbed back into his body which was then covered in a thin layer of rocks that were shaped into a dark brown armor a second later.
The armor was rather thin but it perfectly covered all the weak points of a humanoid body, he even had a helt that didn't block his vision, but still provided defense against incoming attacks due to the design that would make it hard for the enemy to easily aim at the eyes.
And to top it off, battle aura armor was added on top of it, successfully creating a multiple layered defense, the knight was still not satisfied with this though.
"Tsk, had it not been for the fact that the original equipnt brought by the Lord was destroyed, which forced us to use these spares obtained from the poor bastards that ended up stranded in our territory, I should have been able to deal with that guy on my own", he said to which the bishop retorted.
"Yeah, yeah, be happy that we at least had our weapons and defensive magic treasures adapted to have so decent efficiency with nether, those guys that play with corpses and those bitches didn't even have that, well with the exception of their queen pieces".
"Let's try again…", said the knight as he rolled his short sword a couple of tis to then smack it against the small shield mounted on his forearm, he reaccommodated it to cover the area where he was cut earlier, for a good reason.
The strongest healing property belongs to the light elent in average, but water and nature also have healing properties with a different focus though, water for example has a better regeneration factor than light, which ans that reattaching severed limbs is easier with water healing than light healing, nature healing on the other hand has the best cleansing factors, so negative effects attached to wounds such as bleeding, infections and the like are better treated with nature elent healing.
As for light, recovery is its specialty, which includes but it's not limited to fatigue reduction, vigor increasing etc. Of course, just the elent by itself doesn't make one better than other healers, it is ultimately the user the one who makes the difference, anyway the point is that the water regenerative properties best complinted a defense earth affinity knight, in order to deal with Michael.
Not wanting to give the enemy the initiative again, the knight flashed turning into a green light that charged towards Michael, naturally as fast as he was for a defense type knight, his speed was nothing much in front of the blue haired assassin.
With a simple movent to the side, Michael avoided the shield bash from the knight was perfectly dodged, only for a smirk to appear on the face of the knight which was mostly covered by his helt.
"Battleground Shield", with a quick sentence, a rock layer appeared on the small shield to then have large rock spikes raise with it as the origin, the maneuver was incredibly smooth, forcing Michael to jump upwards in order to avoid them.
Only for him to feel a mana wave coming from the direction of the bishop, but when he looked in her direction to react depending on the situation, Michael was surprised to see that there was nothing coming from her, or at least that was on the surface.
"Water Shackles", the staff of the bishop glowed and water chains held onto Michael's limbs, just in ti for a rock covered short sword to slash all the way from his shoulder to his stomach.
Unfortunately, just as the knight prepared to land the "killing blow", the image of the enemy disappeared and the water chains fell were revealed to had not captured anything but air, the previous happened in fractions of a second, the knight and the bishop were quite synchronized but that ended up playing against them in this case, since their incredibly fast teamwork didn't allow them to realize that they had not actually caught Michael.
"For a having earth affinity and being a knight, that's so decent maneuverability, I know a certain brick head who could use so of it", said Michael who extended his hands to the side just in ti to catch the eight flying daggers as well as the regular one, which he used earlier and were scattered in the vicinity after being blocked by those two.
'I couldn't tell how, but he slipped through my shackles…', said the bishop in a voice that only the knight could hear.
'It was his wind, I already had my doubts, but after the previous clash with my earth elent battle aura as well as my short sword, I have confird it, that guy used his high speed alongside wind to create a tangible "afterimage" as a substitute'.
'Luckily, he doesn't seem to be able to keep it up for enough ti to escape your tracking, it's just that we also couldn't react in ti to notice the difference and the substitute was gone before my short sword finished slashing it, considering I did feel it hit sothing'.
The knight was right, Michael used the afterimage caused by his extre short distance speed and condensed wind to create a temporary "copy" of himself that seed to be able to interact with the world, as in it appeared to have mass but it was just wind pressure accumulated alongside his image.
The key point is that the replacent happened so fast that the enemies couldn't notice it in ti, the bishop contemplated things for a second before saying.
'You are more sensitive towards wind elent as an earth affinity knight, but I no matter how fast he does it, I can still feel him using fire even if it's for a fraction of a second, we'll proceed with plan c, unless you have a better idea'.
The knight nodded in response but he still said.
'Don't take too much ti, getting cut by that guy is not fun', with those words, the bishop raised her staff and a rotating sphere of water manifested around her.
The knight on the other hand released battle aura, creating an area of affectation of five ters around him, this was a good way to keep an assassin like Michael in check by obstructing him, the only downside is that he would use quite a bit of battle aura, not to ntion his legs also exploded in nether battle aura.
"Landslide", with a single word, the knight disappeared from where he was standing, making Michael's pupils contract, for a second he actually beca nearly as fast of him by combining both the long-range flashing ability of a rook and his movent martial art, what's more within the area affected by the battle aura he was radiating, Michael felt his body being obstructed as if a heavy rock was pressing down on his back.
With a "swoosh", Michael dodged the rock armored leg that was aiming at his chest, by the skin of his teeth, he then threw his arms backwards to stab the enemy with the ten daggers which he was holding with both of his hands, only for the knight to use the montum of the kick to roll his body and parry with the small shield.
"Clang!", unlike before, Michael's daggers actually couldn't reach the shield, he went through the battle aura armor and the layer of rock covering it, but the dagger lost its explosive piercing power once it reached the shield.
"Battleground Sword!", taking advantage of the dagger which was lodged between two defensive layers, the knight slashed towards Michael with his short sword which midway actually grew to more than three ters of length thanks to the layer of rock covering it, enlarging it.
What's more the sudden increase of weight combined with the montum that the knight had already built before using that martial art, resulted in the sword accelerating at the later half of his attack.
Naturally following the usual procedure, Michael tried to flash away to then launch his counter-attack but the battle aura being radiated by the knight increased to interrupt him just in ti.
"Battle Cry!", with a loud shout accompanied by a wave of battle aura, Michael's flashing was half interrupted, he was still able to move at high speed but couldn't do so in complete silence like usually.
"Booom!", as a result, an explosion was produced by the combination of Michael's wind and fire mana around his legs, he did avoid the sword but the knight was able to follow him with his own movent martial art.
'He used his earth nether battle aura to get in the way of my wind mana', thought Michael as he flashed encountering the knight in the air to then slash his regular sized daggers at the enemy's arm where the shield wasn't in the way.
Sparks flew as Michael's daggers made sank into the two defensive layers protecting the arm of the knight, since they were moving in opposing directions their encounter didn't last long and while Michael left two cut marks that went all the way from the enemy's shoulder to his wrist, there was no real wound since his attack lost its power before reaching his body.
The knight smirked as he saw the deep cuts in his battle aura armor and the rock layer covering his arm being restored in less than a second thanks to the blue nether flag that appeared behind of him for a second.
Michael gazed at the bishop who had her eyes closed while being protected by that rotating water sphere, since she didn't cast the spell again, then that regeneration banner thing apparently could be used more than once with a single cast, it was quite a good healing spell as one would expect from the subordinates of the one from whom Jazmine supposedly inherited her talent for buffing spells, since Johanna and Freya's user had nothing to do with support, they were both fighters and the talents they legated to their descendants lied in that sa aspect.
"What happened, you looked rather pleased when you took my arm, how about you use an attack type spell instead of just slashing with those daggers", said the knight.
He also had his pride which took a blow considering Michael hasn't used a single attack type spell so far, just with the montum brought by his high speed, his stealth and his amazing maneuverability he has been causing troubles to his enemies.
But now, said tactics weren't working anymore, the two defensive layers blocked his daggers and his movent spells were being disrupted by the enemy's battle aura as well.
"Those are so prideful words for soone that is using so much battle aura every second, if I focus on running, I'll still win at this rate", casually said Michael to which the knight smirked in response.
"That would indeed be annoying, indeed", finishing his sentence, the knight flashed appearing behind Michael who felt his body being pressed downwards by the earth battle aura being radiated by the knight.
"Battleground Cross Charge!", with a loud shout accompanied by a wave of battle aura, the knight used his shield to tackle Michael, but was naturally dodged, that being said once again the synchronization between Michael's wind and fire mana was disrupted by the enemy, resulting in an explosion when he used his movent spell.
"Booom!",
Without a second of delay, the short sword of the knight cut the smoke and flas released by the explosion and then extended just in ti to reach Michael who had retreated earlier.
"Clang!", the sound of tals colliding echoed through the battlefield as the short sword and Michael's daggers clashed, on the other hand the high impact behind the knight's slash forced Michael backwards, he naturally couldn't win in a contest of strength against a Knight Lord head on.
That being said a small smile did appear on Michael's face just a second before the rock layer covering the short sword of the knight, cracked to then fall apart.
"Water's regeneration properties only apply to "living" things, your armor is still a part of you since it is a combination of a martial art and your battle aura, but that equipnt is only half integrated with you, so a few cuts at the sa place will do the trick".
The knight gritted his teeth as he used a large quantity of battle aura to restore the rock and battle aura layers on his sword, Michael was right, the restoring the armor only used half the amount of energy he needed to restore the sword and shield's defensive layers, since he still had a couple of uses of the water banner from earlier.
But then the expression on the face of the knight took a 180° turn, he actually diminished the output of the battle aura he was releasing to only cover a dozen of centiters around his body to then say.
"That would be a problem… if I were fighting alone that is".
"Blue Sealing Pillar!" a loud female voice drew Michael's attention towards the north, from the corner of his eyes he saw a water nether pillar raising into the sky until it reached the barrier covering the battlefield.
Michael frowned at the strange slight discomfort that he felt, after reviewing his own body he didn't feel any changes on it, so the other possibility was that the effect of that spell wasn't aid directly at him.
As if to confirm the previous Michael tried to charge at the bishop, only to feel the notorious difference in his speed, he did flash in her direction but didn't reach the speed at which he was used at.
And there was no explosion at all either, in fact so flas did spark around his legs but they didn't increase his speed at all, stopping on his tracks, Michael extended his hand and then casted a fire spell.
"Fire Ball", a thumb sized sphere of flas appeared on Michael's hand, confirming his supposition, anything fire based had its effect reduced to less than a third than usual and to add salt to the wound, the knight appeared next to him a second later.
"Let's see you running now, you, short slippery bastard!" he shouted as he slashed his sword at Michael, who had a vein bulging on his neck over the word "short".
Amusingly enough the "slippery bastard" part didn't even faze him at all, perhaps because Calvin is always calling him "shrimp" and other insults related to his height, sothing which he originally didn't really care about before eting the desert coyote young master.
"Mm?", Daimon who was observing the fight from the queen's battlefield, raised an eyebrow at the sudden change in Michael's aura, he wasn't the only one, the bishop suddenly felt all the hairs on her body stand on their ends.
"Watch ou…", unfortunately she was one step too late, literally, since Michael took a step ahead before he turned into a green light that passed next to the knight, appearing a few ters behind of him.
"Booom!", a thunder-like explosion followed by a curtain of dust that was raised due to the shockwave, was the result of the previous movent by Michael, which by the way only covered around five ters of distance.
"Damn it!", the bishop cursed, she waved her hand and drops of water dispelled the dust in the air to reveal the result of the previous, the knight was standing on his place, but he… was missing his right arm, leg and a part of his right abdon.
"What the hell… blegh!", the knight managed to roar in anger but his complain was stopped by blood being forced out of his mouth, had it not been for the regeneration spell being amplified by the battlefield spell which the bishop was using, he would have probably died without even a chance to scream.
"I wanted to save this for Calvin, but oh well a little bit of practice won't hurt", casually said Michael as he turned around and tossed the dagger which he was holding with his hand, aside, well to be more accurate it was just a part of the handle, since the rest of it had disappeared alongside the previous attack he used, whatever it was.
"Triple elental affinity!", angrily exclaid the enemy queen as she glared at Jazmine, thinking she has hidden her subordinate's talents perfectly from the sight of her Lord, which made Daimon smirk at her because… for both suppositions that wasn't the case.
