After the initial shock, the enemy queen couldn't help but exclaim.
"What is up with that nether, weren't you the daughter of the Lord!".
To which the light princess put on a disgusted expression as she coldly answered.
"He created , but I'm not his daughter… besides there is no rule that states that just because our nethereal part cos from them, we have to be like them".
"Bullshit, the variation that happened for that blood affinity blond woman and the crazy purple haired one might be out of the charts, but their nether is still based in death and lust, as for you not only is there no wrath in that nether but it's also positive light based!", shouted Erika.
She is right, the Balax Lord failed to notice the fact that Jasmine had awakened nether, because he focused in looking for a wrath focused one which leaned towards the negative side of the spectrum, like his, and Jasmine's nether didn't match any of those characteristics.
But before we get to that, a certain light green haired girl who was standing next to Sarah couldn't help but frown as she asked.
"Did you teach her how to awaken that?", ever since they learned the tendencies of the nether used by the Lords, Cassy was worried that Jasmine would be consud by "Wrath" when she awakened hers.
After all, the light princess has been deprived of too much in her life, like her mother for example, not to ntion that Adam shattered her trust in others, though Daimon completely healed that wound, there was for sure a lot of anger bottled in Jasmine's kind heart, that it was a genuine worry for Cassy.
"As much as I would like to claim the rit, nope, this ti it was our little Reyne the one that contributed the most~", playfully said the crazy girl, making the nelapsi girl softly snort.
"Humph, you talk as if you didn't go out of your way to bother with that nether of yours, to prepare for when I awakened mine, that was your plan all along right, to teach so that my awakening will work as a guide for Jas", she said, to which Sarah giggled.
"I don't know what are you talking about~", she limited to say.
Unlike Sarah and Reyne, Jasmine had no predisposition towards nether, so the crazy girl who had the highest talent among the three for it, couldn't think of a way to teach her about it, in fact, Sarah didn't even know if it was possible to awaken positive light based nether.
Since nether works by adding an emotion that you want to transmit to others to one's mana, and you wouldn't want to make your enemy feel happy, or peaceful, so naturally it has to be a negative one, which also aligns with the fact that nether is an energy that leans towards the negative side of the spectrum, so while a positive on affinity on the lower side like let's say water or earth, wouldn't be strange, one like light would be incredibly hard to use as a base to nether and then add to that the fact that Jasmine's light is of extre positive side and you get why it was harder to know whether it was possible or not.
Also, Sarah didn't really "awaken" nether unlike others, she was innately born with it, she was simply unable to use it for her benefit due to the curse, that was her "awakening".
So, she took a different approach, the crazy girl taught Reyne whose disposition was on the negative side of the spectrum, given that she is a nelapsi and that combined with the enhancing effects of this field and their lineages which had beco stronger thanks to the challenge, resulted in Reyne awakening her nether midway through the fight.
And in case you forget about it, Jasmine is… a fast learner, sothing with which Sarah counted, that's right, the light princess has been doing self-introspection since she saw or more accurately "felt" the process of Reyne's awakening, and she finally reached the answer she needed.
'One was born with it, one awakened it midway through the fight and the last one awakened hers before her fight, that crazy girl surely is scary when it cos to helping Jasmine', thought Daimon, Sarah prepared all this to help Jasmine awaken her nether.
It's not as if she simply "used" Reyne for her plan, but more as if she hoped her awakening would be of help for their youngest sister.
The result is as you see, not only is her nether positive light based, but the emotion in it is also a positive one.
"Well, that's easy to answer, unlike that guy, I don't need to disguise "wrath" as a source of motivation for others, because the ones on whom I'll use my buffs are my friends and family not disposable pawns or fanatics to adore …", Jasmine stopped for a second there to gaze in the direction of Sarah and Reyne before continuing.
"This ti, I'll be the one to protect them", she said with her pretty blue eyes burning in a white light coming from the halos that had appeared in her pupils, if isn't clear by now, the emotion in her nether is the wish to "protect".
And it perfectly aligned with the light princess, because she isn't a combatant but a support type mage, so she uses her mana mostly in her allies instead of her enemies, so her nether grows stronger whenever she makes others feel protected… like when she casts buffs on her allies for example, it was a clever solution to the problem of her nether being positive light based too.
"Humph you are a damn mutant, but so what, your nether might be strong but it's still not combat oriented so… you are dead!", roared the enemy queen to then explode in both dark orange and dark brown nether battle aura.
"Legion Reinforcent, Captain Wild Fla Armor!".
"Legion Reinforcent, Captain Ancient Rock Armor!".
The enemy queen was engulfed in a cocoon ford by battle aura of two different elents for a second, before erging wearing a fierce ethereal orange-brown armor.
She was actually using two types of armor at the sa ti, the interesting part is that the fire armor martial art she used, is the one that received the horned horse pawn, and that resulted in her own armor having a wild and beastly aspect to it, with spikes and claw like decorations on the shoulders.
"Battleground Heavy Charge!", with a loud battle cry, Erika's tall figure turned into an orange-brown blur that travelled the distance between her previous position and Jasmine's in a fraction of a second.
She appeared in front of the light princess with her right fist aiming at Jasmine's face, she hadn't forgotten about the humiliation she felt when being slapped earlier, so naturally she was planning to return said humiliation by a hundred-fold at the light princess.
Or at least that was the idea, because when her double armor cladded fist was a centiter away from reaching Jasmine, a silver fortress manifested behind of the light princess.
"Clang!", a thunderous tal-colliding sound echoed through the sky as Erika's fist clashed against the silver light that was enveloping the light princess, resulting in sparks flying due to the impact, before the enemy queen was... forced backwards.
"Tsk, a damn defense increasing buffing spell, so you did prepare sothing before running out of mana, whatever, it won't last long and it's not the sa as the one with which you destroyed the armored ride, so there won't be any problem".
"In fact, you didn't have the ti to learn spells that use nether instead of mana, which is why the defense increasing buff is being applied to your "Protection" nether directly, right?", mockingly said Erika, to then jump backwards.
With a grin on her face, the enemy queen exploded in dark orange battle aura to then punch with her right fist at Jasmine.
"Battleground Explosive Fla Impact!", Erika's dark orange battle aura gathered on her fist to then be shot in the form of a giant fla fist, that flashed the mont it was ford, appearing in front of Jasmine in a fraction of a second.
"Booom!", the mont that aggloration of fire battle aura t with the light nether that Jasmine was using as outer protection, it exploded and engulfed everything in the vicinity in a cloud of flas.
But that wasn't all, Erika then stomped her left foot breaking a piece of the ground which then floated, dragged out by her earth battle aura.
"Battleground Explosive Rock Impact!", with her left hand, the enemy queen grabbed the giant piece of rock which was now covered in her dark brown battle aura to then be thrown towards the fla cloud.
"Booom!", the giant rock was pressured by Erika's battle aura and exploded upon reaching the fla cloud, adding a curtain of dust and a rain of debris covered in battle aura to the ongoing destruction.
"And now, for the finale… Battleground Rock Spear Ascension!", the enemy queen placed her hand son the ground and injected a large wave of earth battle aura into it, the result were dozens of rock spikes raising from below the fla of cloud and dust, since Erika didn't know what the defense buffing spell of Jasmine worked against, she tried three different types of damage.
First and formal, pure elental damage in the form of a fire battle aura explosion, then a combination of both elental and physical damage by using thar rain of debris and her earth battle aura and last but not least those rock spears for pure physical damage.
"Quite lacking compared to what I expected from soone that supposedly focuses in combat", unfortunately for Erika, the calm voice of the light princess could be heard coming from the ongoing disaster, before Jasmine casually ca out of it, she was… completely intact.
"Damn it!", the enemy queen saw red, she put her previous defeat under the excuse that while she is skilled in terms of buffing martial arts, she is ultimately a combatant, but then, her attacks didn't do anything to the light princess.
"Explosive Throw!".
"Burning Spear!".
Erika's body glowed in a bright dark orange light as she used two different buffing martial arts on herself, there was no explanation given unlike back at the ga, but those two had been used by the enemy queen before, so Jasmine knew that the first increased middle range damage while the second one had an armor breaking effect.
Which would make one believe that the light princess would do her best to move out of the firing range of the enemy queen, but instead of that she simply kept walking towards Erika, who gritted her teeth in response.
'Humph, arrogant bitch', she thought to then extend her arms which exploded in battle aura of different colors, in opposite directions.
"Battleground Blazing teor Rain!".
With those words, Erika continuously punched with both of her fists, releasing a barrage of fla battle aura projectiles with her right hand and earth battle aura ones with her left hand.
Now, this is actually Erika's strongest ling distance martial art, but it could be used for middle range as well, in this situation since the distance between herself and the light princess is not that big as of current.
"Booom!", the double elent barrage of battle aura projectiles imdiately rained upon Jasmine, causing a continuous explosion that made the ground in the vicinity to explode, sending flying debris in every direction.
"The last ti that winged swordsman pawn bastard only survived because you used that light mana sword as a shield, so let's see you co unscathed out of this…", the words of the enemy queen were interrupted by the light princess's llow voice.
"Maybe, but I assure you that my defense is for sure higher than that of the swordsman pawn", said Jasmine as she ca out of the explosion, this ti Erika did manage to see how the attacks actually landed on the light princess just to explode a few centiters away from her body, the mont they touched the light nether that was enveloping her.
'She isn't even using nether armor, that's just the nether covering her damn body so how can she co out completely unscathed from a barrage of my blazing teor strike', thought the enemy queen in disbelief, to then snort as she extended her right hand to then take out her magic weapon.
It was also a familiar one, as in she used a halberd like the ones she gave to the general pawn, the difference being that she only used one, but in exchange it was quite a "special" one as it seed to be created with the purpose of working with both fire and earth nether.
In other words, Erika's halberd was ant to use with her two affinities at the sa ti, one could really see the difference between the special unit from the Balax army and the subordinates of the other Lords.
"Flaming Explosive Halberd!", said the enemy queen, in response half of the halberd was covered in dark orange battle aura.
"Heavy Rock Halberd!", with that second martial art, the remaining left half of the halberd was covered in dark brown battle aura.
"If attacks from distance don't work, then I'll simply crush you head on!", roared the enemy queen as she charged at the light princess, turning into a blur midway.
"Heavy Charge!", Erika used her movent martial art to increase her speed in order to gain montum, as she swung her halberd at the light princess.
"Clang!", sparks and the sound of tals colliding was the result of her halberd clashing against Jasmine's light nether.
This ti she did manage to produce an effect on it though; the blade of her halberd sank around a centiter into it…
"Pathetic", disdainfully said the light princess, making the enemy queen's eyes beco bloodshot, her halberd exploded in battle aura of different colors as she actually used two martial arts at point blank.
"Inferno Cleave!".
"Mountain Cleave!".
There is no need to explain to which elent does each one belong; Erika raised her halberd to then slash at the light princess with the intention to split her body in half.
"Boooom!", this ti Jasmine did sothing as well, she released a wave of light nether out of her body to et with the incoming attack of the enemy queen, resulting in the sky being illuminated half in a bright white color and half in a mix of orange and dark brown light.
Erika whose hands were now shaking a bit, saw in disbelief how she was forced backwards due to the shockwave, however she felt her halberd cutting sothing, so she gazed at Jasmine's direction hoping to see the light princess missing an arm at least.
Unfortunately, reality is often disappointing, the only thing that she cut was the outer layer of light nether that was protecting Jasmine.
"How long will that damn spell be active, there is no way such a high increase in defense can be continuously maintained!", she shouted with an incensed voice, to which the light princess smiled as she answered.
"The thing with the buff spells of the Light Palace is that by placing "restrictions" on them, the effects one can get exponentially increase, and since a person can only receive "Silver Fortress" once a day, then its effect which is increasing magic and physical defenses by 300% each, lasts for a whole ten minutes".
"Of course, since I'm using my nether as a defensive an, then it costs a certain amount of it to block each one of your attacks, but since my focus is protection then my nether's defense won't lose in terms of toughness even against battle aura".
"What!", Erika nearly lost it for a second, a defense buffing spell that lasted for ten minutes and light nether which already doesn't have a high solid property, having toughness on par with battle aura, it was too much.
Now imagine her expression when Jasmine casually added.
"But don't worry, I'm not planning on using it for that long… after all why would I need to defend when my enemy is no match for ".
"Heavenly Paladin!", the light princess's body suddenly burned in a bright white light, one that after blinding everyone for a second, condensed into a white nether armor that completely enveloped Jasmine, giving her a way more imposing appearance, since the armor's height surpassed the two-ter mark.
Naturally, it was oversized for the light princess, who looked rather cute wearing such big armor, at least until the helt was added, hiding the fact that the one inside of it was shorter and much slenderer than what the armor would make one believe.
'So that is the spell she has been preparing ever since the fight started… incredible', thought Daimon, not only the amount of nether condensed into that armor was insane, nearing around 80% of all the nether Jasmine had at her disposition.
But the appearance given by that armor, was one that Daimon quite recognized, as it looked like a white version of the armor wore by… Freya.
And he wasn't the only one to notice it, the ancestor of the Ivory lineage, in other words Joanna who had remained silent all this ti, and was for so unknown reason residing in a ring on Reyne's hand, instead of with Jasmine like before, couldn't help but mumble.
"Sister Alicia…", that was the na of Freya's second host and Joanna's best friend, one of the two ancestors of the Light Palace and the progenitor from the Brightstar lineage that flowed through the three nethereal sister's bodies.
And the Ivory matriarch wasn't alone, considering that the invisible ethereal silver armor that was covering Daimon's upper body, in other words the vessel in which Freya resided, trembled for a split of a second, despite the administrator girl being asleep as she was going through a "healing and adaptation" process according to Evangeline, she reacted to this state in which Jasmine was!
"You did manage to learn a spell that uses nether, so what!", shouted the enemy queen to then flash at Jasmine with her halberd aiming at her chest, only for Jasmine to smile behind her helt, she used her staff to intercept the enemy's magic weapon, which made Erika snort.
"That twig is going to be slashed in half, I received this halberd from the Lord himself!", she said as she slashed with all her might.
"Clang!".
"Crack!".
The sound of tals colliding, followed by the one of sothing shattering echoed through the sky, however and to Erika's horror, it was the blade of her halberd the one that now had a crack on its blade.
And to top it off, now that she looked at the staff on the hands of the light princess, she was reminded of a bad mory, because it was enveloped in an intricate light spear-like shape, it was the heavenly spear she gave to the priest pawn!
And the surprises kept coming Erika's way, in the form of Jasmine's left hand forming a fist, with which she punched the enemy queen on the stomach, naturally with a double layer of armor Erika didn't think too much of the punch from a mage, she was way more worried about the heavenly spear since it had left a deep impression on her.
"Aghhh!", and that was a huge mistake, the image of a silver hamr manifested behind Jasmine and then, the light princess's fist actually broke through the double layer of battle aura armor, to then punch the stomach of the enemy queen, forcing a pained scream as she was sent flying into the distance.
"What the hell is this!", midway through her forced travel backwards, Erika exploded in dark brown battle aura to break her retreat, but was instantly t by Jasmine who had appeared behind of her with her legs cladded in silver light, to then grab her head and smack her against the ground.
"Booom!", the enemy queen was smacked into the ground face first, and actually sank quite a few ters into it, the impact was so high that the solid rock ground in the vicinity cracked on the spot.
