Knowing that she at most had around a minute before she suffocated inside the mountain sli and having been unable to dig herself out with her claws or use her magic to create an opening big enough to escape through, Scaly began panicking as she kept her eyes shut to prevent the corrosive sli from turning her blind.
For the first ti, she felt completely helpless and had no idea what to do, as even her newly invented water drill magic and dragon breath was rendered useless against the immortal body of the sli.
On the other hand, using the dragon breath skill had caused a rather negative effect, as part of the attack had bounced back and injured her. Although not to the degree that she would die to the corrosion before being suffocated to death, the damage was nothing to scoff at and would definitely take her so ti to recover from if she managed to escape from her current precarious situation.
Plop~!
Feeling everything around her shaking as she was suddenly thrown around inside the mountain sli as it moved, Scaly could not help feeling like she was about to throw up from the sudden movent.
Plop~!
However, she didn’t have ti to recover from the sudden nausea, as the mountain sli moved for a second ti. Throwing her around inside the massive jelly like body again. Resulting in the mountain rabbit that she had eaten earlier coming back up again, as she wasn’t able to stop herself a second ti around.
On the bright side, as she was covered by... What was left of the mountain rabbit after coming up from her stomach, she realized that the corrosive effect of the sli was blocked.
Although this didn’t really buy her more ti as she would still end up suffocating in less than a minute if she couldn’t get out, it at least allowed her to open her eyes inside the mountain sli. Giving her a chance to take in her new and weird surroundings.
Not surprising, outside of herself, there were only a few smaller rocks floating around inside the mountain sli. All in the process of being slowly digested like her.
Plop~!
Feeling the movent of the mountain sli once again just at this mont, Scaly braced herself as she felt everything around her shaking violently as she herself was moved to another part of the mountain sli... And now that she could see, she realized that she had actually moved closer to the edge of the mountain sli.
Wait! Maybe I can use this to my advantage!
Feeling like she saw her chance at escaping from the mountain sli, Scaly nervously thought about how to use the force from when the mountain sli moved.
Her water magic was pretty much rendered useless inside the mountain sli, while her claws did nothing more than exhaust her strength.
Out of all her skills, the only one that seed to have so effect on moving her around inside the mountain sli was her dragon breath.
Although it did harm her, as it essentially bounced back into her as it tried expanding inside the mountain sli, this unexpected recoil also resulted in her being knocked back by a few ters.
The only problem with using her dragon breath skill to try and move being that the damage caused by using it wasn’t small. Not to ntion, the mana required made it impossible for her to use it more than two tis in her current state.
Of course, given how injured she was, using it one more ti should already be the limit, as anything more than that might result in the recoil killing her. Not sothing she wanted to happen considering she very much liked the idea of staying alive.
Unfortunately, considering she didn’t really have any other way to move around inside the mountain sli, she could only risk everything on the dragon breath skill and try to use the montum generated by the mountain sli moving to escape from her current situation.
So, with that in mind, Scaly prepared herself and waited for the mountain sli to move again.
Not sothing she had to wait long for, as she soon felt the entire body of the mountain sli trembling, a sign that it was about to flip over- or move forward with its cube shaped body-
Plop~!
Roar~!
Bang!
And the mont the mountain sli plopped down on the ground, Scaly didn’t hesitate for a second as she directly used her dragon breath with all of her strength, causing a large bubble of water magic to form inside the sli in front of her before bouncing back and slamming directly back into her body.
As a result of this, she was soon launched backwards-
Plop~
Bang!
And supported by the montum created by the mountain sli as it moved, she managed to break free from the mountain sli and its slimy prison. Crashing into the hard ground a few ters away from the massive mountain sli that didn’t seem the slightest bit affected by what had just happened.
I’m... I’m free!
Feeling an overwhelming sense of joy as she could once again breathe, Scaly smiled to herself. Happy with her success-
Plop~
However, before she had ti to feel happy over her escape, the now dreadful sound of a mountain sli moving echoed out just a few ters behind her. Making her realize that it was far too early for her to celebrate, as she was still in the middle of a large number of mountain slis.
Only after she managed to descend far enough down the mountain that there weren’t any mountain slis around would she truly be safe.
At the very least, she would only have to deal with weaker monsters like mountain rabbits and rock slis, sothing that she felt more than confident in dealing with even in her current injured state.
Whoosh~!
With that in mind, Scaly dragged her injured body up from the ground before starting to make her way back down the mountain. Not daring to spend a second longer inside what she perceived as the mountain slis territory.
At the sa ti, she also seed to understand why she hadn’t seen any other monsters around at the upper parts of the mountain where the mountain slis road, but now it seed rather obvious why there weren’t any monsters around, as the monsters that were unfortunate enough to wander up the mountain would inevitably end up in a similar state to the one, she had been in...
I wonder when I will be able to kill a mountain sli...
Along the way down the mountain, Scaly could not help thinking this to herself as she looked over at a nearby mountain sli.
Although these slis were essentially harmless if you kept a distance, it didn’t an that they were easy to kill, as only by reaching their core could they be killed... And reaching the core of such a massive sli was easier said than done.
Considering her past experience back at the second floor of the dungeon, Scaly doubted that she would have the strength to kill a mountain sli even after she went through her third evolution.
Of course, she hoped that wasn’t the case, but the voice at the back of her mind told her that it was impossible to kill those immortal slis.
Not wanting to think about the mountain slis and how they were essentially impossible to kill, Scaly turned her attention towards her status. Feeling curious if her dragon breath had managed to level up after the life and death situation, she had been in.
Na: Scaly
Race: Ancient Water Dragon Lizard
Level: 30/30
STR: 110 |VIT: 240| DEX: 95 | M: 258
Skills: [Dragon Bloodline lvl 3], [Flight lvl 2], [Water Magic lvl 7], [Poison Resistance lvl 3], [Claw Strike lvl 4], [Swimming lvl 1], [Dragon Breath (Water), lvl 3], [Corrosion Resistance, lvl 1]
And, like she had expected, her dragon breath skill had managed to level up to level 3.
However, outside of her dragon breath leveling up, a new skill had also appeared... And just from the na alone, she understood where it had co from without even having to look at the description of the skill.
[Corrosion Resistance, lvl 1]: Wow, you managed to survive being swallowed by a mountain sli, good job, you can now better resist their stomach acid if you get eaten again- or is it their stomach sli?
Reading through the description anyway, Scaly could not help silently cursing the description as it was clearly taunting her!
Hmph! She wasn’t going to-
Swish-!
Plop~!
Okay, she just barely managed to avoid another mountain sli that had taken the chance to sneak up on her, but for real, she was not going to end up inside another mountain sli in the future!
Of course, with the description making her even more uneasy about the surrounding mountain slis, Scaly didn’t dare slack off in the slightest as she remained fully focused during the rest of the journey down the mountain. Avoiding any mountain slis along the way.
