Looking at the sli splattered all over the ground in front of her, Scaly could not help feeling a bit sorry, it wasn’t her fault that it was so weak that it died from being casually slapped by her, she really didn’t intend on killing it!

Unfortunately, there was not much she could do about it now that the small sli had died. Even if she wanted to find out more about the powerful sli behind it, it looked like she could only hope to keep her eyes open for it or spot another of the sli clones.

At the very least, considering that it was a powerful sli, she guessed that it should be rather easy to spot, as stronger slis seed to grow larger the stronger, they were.

A good example of this would be the mountain slis she had encountered when first stepping into the mountain range.

Although those slis were relatively peaceful and didn’t try and deliberately attack her, they were by far the largest and strongest slis she had encountered so far, sa with the mountain bouncing sli lord who was similarly larger than the weaker mountain bouncing slis.

The only exception to this being the dragon devouring sli she had encountered, but she had a feeling that it was just because the mountain devouring sli was born far stronger than the rest of the slis she had encountered so far.

After that sli grew up and beca stronger, she was certain that it wouldn’t be any smaller and possibly even larger than the mountain slis she had encountered so far-

No... The sli that bounced in front of her was indeed the dragon devouring sli she had encountered back then. Not just that, but it had clearly beco stronger since their last encounter and gave off a feeling that made even Scaly feel a shiver run down her spine. Instinctively wanting to run away and avoid the massive sli in front of her.

This... It actually beca stronger faster than !

As this realization hit her, Scaly could not help feeling her pride being shattered, as her growth speed had been surpassed by a small sli that she had almost completely forgotten about.

However, for now, that wasn’t important, as she understood very well that she wasn’t a match for this sli specialized in killing dragons-

And so, without a second thought, Scaly followed her instincts and turned around to escape. Not back into the forest, as that path had been blocked, but instead towards the location of the mountain gnoll tribe. Intending to try and push this problem of hers onto them, as she understood that they should be more than strong enough to deal with this sli. Especially with that mountain gnoll lord and mountain gnoll great shaman working together.

Unaware of any of this, the mutated dragon devouring sli didn’t show any hesitation as it bounced after Scaly filled with excitent. Having clearly noticed its old enemy who had now managed to beco a far higher quality al in its eyes.

In the end, because of the large disturbance caused by the mutated dragon devouring sli making its way through the forest without caring about hiding its presence, it didn’t take long before the mountain gnolls patrolling the area discovered it and joined Scaly in escaping as fast as possible-

Unfortunately, not all of them were fast enough to escape, as they found themselves being crushed beneath the massive sli before being absorbed into it. Soon enough dissolving into nothing, becoming nutrients that fueled the growth of the mutated dragon devouring sli.

So, this is how it managed to grow so quickly...

Watching how the mutated dragon devouring sli bounced around and killed any mountain gnoll or other unfortunate monster that ca into contact with it, Scaly could sohow understand how it had managed to grow so much in such a short period of ti.

Far surpassing her, it seed like the mutated dragon devouring sli had not held back like she had when forced to do so faced with stronger opponents. Instead, it seed to have continued killing anything that entered its sight and had succeeded in doing so, sothing that did make Scaly feel a bit envious.

If she had the strength to kill all the monsters she had encountered since the two of them parted ways, she felt certain that she would have been more than strong enough to take on this mutated dragon devouring sli. Especially with her powerful lighting magic.

Now, she felt usure and worried about using her lighting magic. Understanding that using it would leave her completely defenseless against the mountain gnolls that were growing in numbers around her as she continued moving deeper into the territory of the mountain gnolls during her escape.

Not just that, but she was also unsure if she could even kill the mutated dragon devouring sli with her lighting magic. After all, using her lighting magic took ti and would be relatively simple to dodge considering the speed and agility the mutated dragon devouring sli was displaying while chasing after her and the mountain gnolls.

GROOOWL-!

Luckily for her, she didn’t have to think about using her lightning magic, as a terrifying yet familiar roar soon echoed out across the devasted battlefield that had mostly been abandoned by this point in ti.

Not a second later, the mountain gnoll lord appeared...

Not just that, but he seed to have beco stronger compared to the last ti she had seen him.

In response to this massive and terrifying mountain gnoll appearing, even the mutated dragon devouring sli was forced to stop, as it clearly felt the power emanating from the body of the mountain gnoll lord.

Different from any monsters it had encountered so far, the mountain gnoll lord made it feel the sa fear it had felt when confronted with the group of humans back on the third floor of the dungeon-

Boing!

Sothing that also filed it with anger at the sa ti!

Growl!

In response, the mountain gnoll lord let out an angry roar and charged forward towards the sli. Not intending to stand around and watch its fellow mountain gnolls get devoured.

However, before the mountain gnoll lord could reach the sli, Scaly suddenly discovered that she had been targeted by it.

Clearly, the mountain gnoll lord had not forgotten about the mountain gnoll shamans that she had killed back when they had tried to chase down the heavenly lake serpents.

Obviously, it was intending to kill her before it went to fight the mutated dragon devouring sli. Understanding very well that she would take advantage of the situation and try to kill off the weaker mountain gnolls.

This... Is bad...

Feeling a shiver run down her spine upon realizing that she now found herself between a rock and a hard place, Scaly desperately began looking to her sides for any location she might be able to escape to.

Unfortunately, there was nowhere for her to escape, as the two powerful monsters would just follow after her in case, she decided on escaping to the side. Forcing her to confront one of the two if she wanted to escape... And looking between the mutated dragon devouring sli behind her and the mountain gnoll lord in front of her, Scaly felt like the mountain gnoll lord was the better option.

Well... Maybe not the better option, but she understood that the mutated dragon devouring sli’s main target was her and if she managed to turn around and run past it, it would only result in her being chased down by the sli and the mountain gnoll lord stopping its chase after the two of them left the territory of the mountain gnolls.

No matter what, she could not face this overpowered sli on her own and needed the mountain gnoll lord’s help in either holding it back or killing it.

Maybe she would also get an opportunity to see if there were any stronger mountain gnolls present inside the tribe if the mountain gnoll lord beca unable to hold back the mutated dragon devouring sli.

With that in mind, Scaly skillfully charged forward before diving down through the legs of a rather surprised mountain gnoll lord before narrowly evading the massive club that it had co rushing towards her with. Not wasting any ti, as she continued forward after skillfully avoiding the mountain gnoll lord by taking advantage of her smaller size and fast speed.
