Not at all having expected a sudden ambush by a mix of normal forest rabbits and their larger big forest rabbit counterparts, Scaly could not help freezing on the spot. Not knowing what to do, as this was the first ti she had experienced such a thing.

However, different from Scaly who had received a rather large shock after realizing that she had been set up and ambushed, the big forest rabbit that had blocked what she had thought to be a sneak attack, didn’t waste any ti as it directly pounced towards her with its claws raised high reflecting the streams of light penetrating through the canopy above.

Recovering just in ti to block this attack, Scaly could not help feeling an unknown sense of anger start boiling up inside her as she watched the rest of the rabbits around her get ready to jump forward as well.
They... They DARE to ambush !? What gave these little rodents the courage to do this?!
Narrowing both her eyes as she continued holding back the big forest rabbit trying to reach her with its claws, Scaly simultaneously conjured up a water spear pointing directly at the head of the big forest rabbit in front of her-

And without giving the rabbit any ti to react, Scaly poured more than twice the normally needed mana into the water spear, causing it to condense at a far faster speed than normal. Flying forward to kill the rabbit that had been trying to reach her with its claws.

Following the death of the big rabbit that was confronting her, the rest of the rabbits who were about to eagerly join in to attack her froze on the spot. None of them dared to make a single sound out of fear that they would be targeted by her next.

However, this only lasted for a short mont, as the stronger and larger forest rabbits among the group let out heroic squeaking sounds before charging towards Scaly closely followed by the weaker forest rabbit that hadn’t yet gone through the evolution to beco big forest rabbits, with the simple intent of overwhelming her with sheer numbers.
R-Roar!
Seeing this, Scaly was not the slightest bit scared, as she stood up proudly and let out a cute sounding roar in response to the charging rabbits. Feeling more than confident in facing the dozen or so rabbits by herself.
The reason for this being that different from the gnolls from the gnoll tribe, the strongest among the rabbits was only around level 20, while the weakest among them were no different from the oversized rats that she had encountered back at the first floor of the dungeon. Basically, proving to be no challenge to defend against or defeat with her current strength.
Only the big forest rabbits in the group would prove to be a challenge to defend against, sothing she felt, while difficult, should still be possible with her current strength. Especially considering that she had felt the strength of her body increase by several tis beyond what could be considered normal after leveling up this ti around.
Although she had no idea what had happened, she didn’t really have ti to check it at the mont and could only feel happy at the sudden increase in strength that had co at a perfect ti.

Not even a second after she had finished her train of thought regarding her sudden power up, Scaly ca face to face with the first big forest rabbit that had co charging towards her-

Following shortly after, the rest of the rabbits descended upon her, starting the battle between her and the rabbits. Resulting in not only the rabbits being cut apart by her claws and water magic, but also her being cut apart by their sharp claws.
If not for the fact that the strength of her body seed to have undergone so kind of evolution, Scaly highly doubted that she would have been able to hold on against the constant onslaught of the rabbits, as even thought most of them were far from being a threat to her, they still provided ample distraction for the larger and more powerful rabbits to pierce through her defense and cut into her body with their sharp claws.
In the end, as the battle continued to drag on and she felt like she wouldn’t be able to hold on against the constant onslaught of rabbits, she finally managed to start breaking through and killing them...

Slowly, over a period of several minutes, the rabbits began to fall one by one. Making it easier and easier for Scaly to fight back. Soon resulting in her no longer being the one on the defensive and instead the one on the offensive as she directly chased down and killed both the weaker and strong rabbits who had by now given up on fighting her and had instead begun to scatter in all directions.
Now that they did not see any way to win against her, they all decided to abandon each other and escape on their own.

It was only after she had finished off the last remaining rabbit that hadn’t managed to sohow escape from her, that Scaly finally cald down again and almost collapsed on the ground in exhaustion.
Although she had been able to stand strong against the more than a dozen rabbits for the ti of the battle, she had ended up exhausting almost all of her strength during the battle itself... And only now that everything had cald down and there weren’t any more rabbits around to attack her did the exhaustion from the battle finally catch up to her.
I... I need to find a safe place to recover...
With only this thought in mind as she looked at the countless dead bodies around her, Scaly dragged her exhausted body away from the battlefield. Not even thinking about eating any of them and only focusing on getting to sowhere safe where she could recover before her exhaustion overwheld her and forced her to sleep.
