Shara fought Altunia, her body moving freely. Altunia's sword was thinner, so she moved fast as well, but no matter how fast she was, Shara did not have to worry as she was almost always using her power.
And given how many people she had stolen energy from by now, she was beyond strong enough to keep this going for a long ti.
Altunia was not a regular fighter either. She was an expert at her craft, capable of making moves that regular people wouldn't even think to make.
If the battle had been a normal one, Shara would've lost a long ti ago, despite the amount of training she had received all this ti. The woman had a lot longer to train.
'I need to be careful,' Shara thought. 'She is sneaky too.'
As she fought, she kept reminding herself of what she had to do. According to the healer lady, what she had to do was drain the power from Altunia.
She knew how to drain other's spirit energy for herself, but this ti, instead of draining it into her, she needed to drain it into an artifact.
Shara was more than certain that she wanted that to be the spear in her hand. Now, all she needed was an opportunity.
And it seed that she would have to create the opportunity herself, rather than wait for it to appear.
She stabbed the spear toward the woman's visors, causing her to duck. The woman swung with her sword, but it passed straight through Shara.
Shara dashed forward at the sa ti, moving through the woman, coming out of her back. The woman turned around imdiately, swiftly dishing out another slash, which again passed through Shara.
Shara continued this for a couple more turns before finally doing it one last ti. She dashed to move past the woman, passing through her. The woman turned around as always to make sure Shara wasn't attacking from the back, only to find her not there.
'She's behind !' Altunia thought, turning back the correct way, only to find it empty as well.
Shara ca out from within Altunia's body at that mont, arriving behind her, and stabbed right on her right armpit where the joints between the armor had a gap.
She had enough force at this point that her stab ended up piercing through the fabric and stabbing her deep.
Altunia cried out in pain, quickly moving away. She tried to swing her sword around, only to find herself in pain at the re movent of her arm.
Shara took the opportunity and slamd her entire body onto Altunia, feeling the pain from slamming into the tal armor but causing Altunia to drop to the ground all the sa.
She quickly slamd down the spear on Altunia's hand, causing her to scream and let go of the sword. At the sa ti, she got on top of her, and pulled the helm off her face, revealing the twisted face she had hidden inside of it.
"You… bitch!" Altunia shouted, reaching for Shara with her good hand. She slamd her entire hand onto Shara, but Shara took the brunt of the attack.
She had to. After all, she had to beco tangible to touch the woman before her.
Altunia began punching Shara after realizing what she was trying to do, and while Shara tried to dodge a few of the attacks, she got hit by all of them. By the end, she was bleeding from the right side of her face, but she thought it was more than worth it for what she was about to do next.
She held Altunia's neck with her left hand and the spear with her right. Then, she began draining the power from Altunia's body. As the power was drained out, instead of taking it into herself, Shara made an attempt to pour that very energy into the spear on her hand.
She did not know what exactly she was supposed to do here, so she simply went off instinct. To her wild surprise, it worked. She could feel the energy coming from one side and flowing into the other without disturbing what was in her.
She looked at the spear in her hand and was suddenly in disbelief.
The spear was shoddy, with scratches all over it by this point, and long cloth strips tying up the sections where the wood had splintered off.
It had been a good spear from the start, with good durability, but it had been about ti to change the spear and get a new one.
The only reason Shara had even used the spear was because this was all she had at the mont. And yet, it appeared she had made the right choice.
The spear began deforming as the power was put into it. It shook and its surface rippled around, causing different physical patterns to co upon it.
It beca slightly thinner as well and the material transford into sothing half between wood and tal. It felt light to the touch and the weight was nice, but what surprised Shara the most was the intricate details that ca upon the spear on its own without her volition.
Not just that, the bright golden color of the blade made it seem worth way more than it ever was. It was as if it was changing in worth by the second.
It slowly transford, patterns changing second by second, until it stopped rippling and what it had stopped on beca the final design.
Altunia scread as she felt all of her power drained away. She no longer had any energy, and as such, the ones she had been keeping alive with her powers could no longer continue living at that very mont.
Altunia looked at Shara with furious red eyes and gritted teeth. Then she tried punching her once again, but Shara had already activated her powers at this point.
She didn't even bother looking at Altunia anymore and simply looked at the spear in her hand.
She had made her first Spirit Artifact.
