I must comnd you on being able to kill Number Seven. We saw the video and were quite impressed. It has been a while since soone has managed to touch any of us, let alone kill us. Although, I can’t be surprised after seeing how great your test results were.
Rank 9? That is seriously amazing. Congratulations on your late awakening. Although, I must ask if it had anything to do with that man you t over in the graveyard on the day of the teor above the city. You didn’t have your powers before that day.
None of that matters anyway in the end. So, let finish this ssage with an offer.
The world is going to end soon. And when it does, you might want to be on the side that survives. We have made preparations for it since a long ti ago. If you are willing to join us and fly the flag of Tritus, let us know.

P.S. Number Six should’ve co for you next, but he loved Number Seven a bit too much, so we had to skip ahead by sending ahead.
Ning read through the note again, trying to see if there was sothing hidden even beyond this new ssage they had found, but there clearly was not. It was a simple ssage to try and recruit him.
"Why are they trying to recruit you when they’ve attempted to kill you multiple tis?" Larissa asked.
"If you can’t hurt them, join them," Ning said. "At least, that seems to be their motto. They’ve tried poisoning and shooting directly. Since neither has worked, they are starting to see that I could be more of an asset than they had previously realized."
"Will you join them?" Mira asked, causing Ning to look at her with a strange look.
"Do you think I will?"
"No..." she said, embarrassed at even having asked such a question. She tried to change the subject and asked about the graveyard.
That was the day Ning had t the original Valen and let him talk to his dead wife and children for the last ti before giving him a new life. He couldn’t tell them about that, so he simply shrugged as if he didn’t understand what they were talking about.
"Well, at least this confirms two things for us," Larissa said. "First, he is definitely tracking you all throughout the day. He knows so much about you that it is downright frightening. He even knew about you killing the vampire by the river. That hasn’t been publicized yet, has it?"
"I don’t believe it has," Ning said.
"What else do we know now?" Mira asked, curious.
"Their group has a hierarchical structure. I can’t imagine it being based on strength itself, but rather based on soone’s capability. Talia was only 7. She was the weakest of them all and yet she had nearly killed and done so much more damage. Had it not been for you, she might have even gotten away."
Ning nodded. "And now we have 5 to worry about. What do we know about him?"
"That he’s an excellent hacker and has so power over manipulating people. I wonder if they’re hypnotized just the way Talia did."
"Could be," Ning said. "But this felt different. If it was hypnosis, it targeted a very different part of their brain. They were still themselves in the end, just slightly changed. I can’t tell how their power works exactly, but we should find out soon."
Mira turned toward him. "How do you think they’ll et you? He implied that you would talk to each other very soon."
Ning shrugged. "I haven’t the faintest idea. I’ll hopefully find out sothing soon enough."
With nothing else to do, Ning left the station so ti later and returned to his hotel room. He stayed there for a few more days before Blake ca over.
As Ning opened the door, the angel excitedly held up a piece of paper with a single word in a large font.
APPROVED.
Ning’s eyes widened. "I did it?"
"You did it!"
It was done. He had passed the test.
"You have a hero license now," the man said as he walked in. "Your flight license is made as well. You can start your hero activity now, but we were hoping you would stop until tomorrow."
Ning shrugged. "I was in no hurry to anyway," he said. "Why am I waiting though?"
"Because you’ll be giving a press conference later today."
Blake walked over to the TV and turned it on, tuning to a news channel.
"—ieve there is a superhero who managed to reach Rank 9. That is one rank higher than even Void."
"Of course, Sammy. This is an unprecedented event. Tonight’s news conference will be sothing to wait for."
Blake changed to another channel.
"—certainly so strong powers. You can’t have Rank 9 with simple powers."
Blake changed it again.
"—fang is not what I would imagine a superhero to be called, but we can’t judge a man by his na. We need to see what sort of hero he turns out to be."
Every channel he turned, there was news of Ning.
"We sent out information this morning. We had everything prepared beforehand, so the mont the confirmation arrived, we sent it over."
Ning watched with no small amount of awe. "So... I’m giving a press conference? How does that work exactly?"
"Don’t worry. Our PR team will help you prepare today. You will have a list of things to say at first, and then there will be a question and answer segnt, where you’ll have to answer the reporters. You will have to answer as diplomatically as you can."
Ning continued staring at the TV for a while before letting out a big sigh. "So... when do we leave?"
Blake grinned. "You’re the boss."
