And yet, like Rhefia said, it was going to happen; favoritism was just a byproduct of a lifestyle like this, of a family built upon seeking pleasures and intimacy. Everyone was going to have that one person that just got them better then the others, and everyone was going to have soone that they didn't sh that well with.
Like Aethisia and Inik; they were constantly snipping and arguing, always down to go outside and brawl to vent the frustrations they caused one another... that was only going to get 'worse' and more prevalent when more people were brought into our family.
Then there I was, andering about, doing as I pleased and neglecting this sanctuary we had constructed ourselves, leaving so people to the side and dragging others around with as I sought out new things.

Without you there is no 'this', and people will need to accept that. People are going to end up like Yiksa and Prixisia, left to wander around as they pleased, given a choice.
I've chatted a little with both; yes, they both don't actually have that choice considering their circumstances, but I think you'd find it interesting how they both admit that this is what they want. Yiksa... she's always going to be conflicted; her past will always loom over her no matter what, while Prixisia is happy to just be free."

"Then give them a direction, idiot. We can't always rely on you to make all of this work. They both like living underground, so find sothing to make for them underground that they can work on. That farm idea you had, do it. Give Prixisia a garden and an alchemy set and tell her to make you things. Tell Yiksa she needs to find herself sothing she doesn't mind doing and have her do it."
Sari's hiss was sharp, and it stunned as I stared down at her, only to realize she was right; at this mont in ti, everyone was drifting in this house, searching for their purpose, and only a few of them had found it.
Camara knew she was going to be helping everyone and pursuing her own goal of wood carvings and paintings, while Kalia loved growing things and taking care of all sorts of plants, be they decorative or edible.
Aethisia was now looking for a job, and both Rhefia and Sari had their own 'job' of being the security of this compound; even Shelur had her own duty, which was just to do whatever Renna needed her to do, and currently it was assisting my two wives in maintaining the peace.
The perfect exemplar of this was Heila, who was the 'maid' here at the house; keeping it clean and cooking was her job, and whenever she had free ti she spent it with Rhefia or helping the others with the nial tasks.
But everyone else was just... drifting, and Sari was completely right; I needed to stop being the only pillar that we had, and to ensure that the family could survive without I needed to help nurture everyone's abilities to be self sustainable... which ant more work, but it was work that needed to be done.
That ant that tomorrow I wasn't going to be staying the night at so place or remaining out for long; I was going to do what I needed to do and co back, and honestly... as we remained on the bed and discussed it more, I considered the pros and cons of sleep since I really didn't need it.
My recharging was done via a good pounding, and that was sothing I got almost as much as I got oxygen, so... maybe I could start working myself to the bone in the short term to ensure long term success..?
