'Hmmmm,' I muttered to myself as I stared at the report, 'My inco has been steadily increasing each day, and I can keep creating new dishes...But I have a feeling that eventually I'll reach a point where I can't keep up with the orders. 'I an, I have the money to check off every box. All I would need to do is save up a bit afterwards to really milk the full value of the coupon. And I can speed that up if I dump all those skill points into my cooking or other skills.'
The idea was growing on with each passing mont, and within a minute, my consciousness had left my body as I entered decorating mode, 'Alright, ti to say goodbye to old and breathe so life into this depressing middle life crisis of a bachelor pad.'
Opening the furniture store, I narrowed down my options by holding a specific aesthetic in mind. What followed wasn't as easy as I went through all three categories and picked out the pieces of furniture and decor that I liked and fit within my price range.
Starting with the floor, I used up all one thousand dollars to change the color and texture of the tile to a light-hued slate. A nice neutral but pleasant to look at modification that would help type everything else together. Then, for the wall decorations, I started to add large wooden panels intermixed with floating wooden shelves sporting potted plants and warm-tinted lamps, along with two brutalist-style wall scones that were particularly expensive, but I couldn't pass up on them.
With the walls and floors taken care of, I moved on to furniture, which would help center and cent the core look and feel of the apartnt. The first thing I changed out was the main table and its chairs, replacing the cheap-looking set with a solid oak modern table with cushioned cloth upholstery. Next ca the countertops, switching the fake-looking granite for thick slabs of polished concrete. With the little I had left in the budget, I made one last and perhaps the most crucial change by getting a better floating wooden slat bedfra and a higher-quality mattress.
After going back and forth with the arrangent of things, I eventually settled on a layout and moved to the purchasing screen.
