There was a unique status ailnt in the ga known as Down.
Once inflicted, characters would be left vulnerable, unable to attack until they get up again for a few seconds to several tens of seconds. Furthermore, characters which had been inflicted with Down status would have certain chances to be attacked next, irrespective of who had the aggro until that mont and in vulnerable condition, character would be like a lamb to the slaughter. Being the unique status ailnt it was, Down couldn't be recovered by magic or skill. Down was definitely one of the most dangerous elents to watch out for.
And unfortunately, the sa situation which I had most wanted to avoid was now unfolding.
Ester was sent flying by the flying kick of Jurra Rex and inflicted with Down. As if it couldn't get any worse, even the target of Jurra Rex had now been shifted to Ester.
I have to do sothing!
My body was quivering in panic.
"Lana! Take care of healing! Sierra Cover! Don't let it approach Ester!"
"Great Heal! Divine Protection! Heaven's rcy!"
"Cover Shield! Taunt!"
Lana quickly put heal and buff while Sierra moved to the space between Jurra Rex and Ester to act as barrier at my swift commands.
"GRAWWWWR!"
"Go to hell! Brave Heart! Brave Slash! Lightning Burst!"
"Iron wall!"
Jurra Rex had intended to use the skill Dinosaur Charge to make a breakthrough but I and Sierra were able to block everything.
The boss wasn't going to make any breakthrough until Ester is out of her Down condition!
I released my onslaught as soon as Sierra had received and managed to stop Jurra Rex on its track. All to bring Jurra Rex to critical down status.
It would be fine if we also brought Jurra Rex down to its knees, a tit for tat.
"Sword Attribute: Thunder! Swift Strike! Lightning Burst!"
Unfortunately, critical down status didn't kick in, as our luck could go. Should have expected so, with how chances of critical condition appearing out was so low.
"! Sothing is coming, Zephyr!"
"Damn, it's a range attack! Put up your defense skills now! Guard Rush!"
"GRAWWWWR!"
"Fortress Shield!"
I thought I had at least gotten a mont of respite by stopping Jurra Rex but I couldn't be any more wrong as it spinned on the spot to follow up with another attack.
I fend off the looming tale boss swung like lariat with defensive skill.
"GRAWWWWR!"
"Tsk, it's going to use Headbutt next!"
Jurra Rex was gaining montum by gradually increasing its flurries of attacks. It was as if saying; none shalt stood on the way today, for the breakthrough be inevitable.
However, this wasn't going to happen, not at least in my wake!
"Fireball! Flare lance! Ice Lance!"
"Heal! Healing Prayer!"
Hannah had also fired her series of magic attacks from the sideline, but it didn't perturb. Sure enough of the boss with sturdy defense.
Lana's healing ca right after Hannah's attacks, completely recovering my and Sierra's HP. We could go on for longer with this.
Except, Jurra Rex showed an obvious change in its pattern.
"I am really sorry. I am recovered now."
Apparently Ester was finally out of Down alint. Phew! We were able to hold it just well.
Albeit, the cost was now Jurra Rex had its attention completely shifted to . Oops, I guess I was a bit hard on my attacks.
"GRAWWWWR!"
"Aura Point! Taunt!"
"Lightning!"
Fortunately, Sierra was there to save my wool as she drew its attention towards herself while I moved behind it and slashed down.
With Lana, Hannah and now recovered Ester joining in to attack, the battle was finally in our control.
It seems other mbers had beco used to Jurra Rex attacks too. As no one was caught up in the Flying Dinosaur Kick that ca towards them occasionally and continues to shave off its HP.
"Sacred Demon's Blessing! Divine Barrier! Shining Sabre of the Sacred Light! Light's Blade!"
"Flare Lance! Ice Lance!"
"Long Thrust! Precision Thrust!"
"Shine Lightning! Shine Lightning!"
"GRAWWWWR!?"
Jurra Rex's HP was finally down to 20% and just then, it began to show changes in its pattern.
"sh! Hold it down! Boss is trying to run away!"
"Idiot, bold of it to think it can escape from !"
Wandering bosses, once their HP is down to a certain point, would try to run away to restore their HP.
Jurra Rex wasn't any different either as it turned around in an attempt to run away once its HP reached red gauge. Just saying, it wasn't running by dragging its feet.
"Grawr! Grawr! Graww!"
"Right, no way it's going anywhere! Everyone, try to aim at its leg as much as possible! See if we can make it slip! And Ester, aim at its tale with all your might!"
I switched from Firmant Sword to the Dinosaur Slayer Sword the mont the boss entered in the phase to run away. All of my Brave Skills were under extre cold down, so it's much more efficient to attack with the Dinosaur Slayer Sword that packs more punch than just simply using physical attacks.
I was also aiming at its tail. I didn't have to make extra effort since the boss was already showing the tale to us.
"Triple Shoot! Horizontal Slash!"
"Swift Strike! Lightning Slash! Sever!"
"GRAWWWWWWWWWR!?"
Special boss monsters were usually equipped with gimmicks like tails destruction or tail severing.
So far, only Alligator Lizard, the boss in Beg-low Dungeon, had this gimmick out of all bosses and as special boss, Jurra Rex was of course coming with this gimmick.
Showering in the flurries of attacks of mine and Ester, its tail was cut short in no ti.
Jurra Rex crashed down from the impact of its tail severing.
It wasn't a status ailnt like Down, but it was our chance now that it lay paralyzing on the ground.
"All out attack! Let's drain its HP quickly!"
"But of course! Blessing of the Guardian Dog! Rise of the Sacred Tree! Divine Pillar!"
"It would be a sha to my title as Brave if I let you hog all the spotlight, Brave Slash! Dinosaur Slayer!"
"Princess Knight Awakening!"

Ester had let loose her serious mode.
With suspense no more, Jurra Rex HP beca 0 in no ti under the onslaught of our attacks as we competed with each other and vanished among the sea of effect.
