Heartbroken and speechless, Su Yan cried until she was incoherent. She grabbed his hand, opened her mouth, and just as she was about to question him.
The sound of fighting was heard; a troop suddenly erged from sowhere, commanding the citizens of the city to rise in rebellion. Chu Yuxiao’s army could hardly suppress them.
In an instant, the entire Fengdu City descended into chaos.
Chu Yuxiao picked Su Yan up, ordered his subordinates to prepare the carriage, then swiftly carried her down the city tower. Protected by guards, he placed her inside the carriage.
