Li Tingyan’s dark pupils contracted. He didn’t have ti to think about what Luo Xia said; he only noticed that Nini had fallen, so he followed and jumped to the side, indeed seeing Nianyang fall straight into a patch of grass.
"Nini!" Li Tingyan’s heart clenched as he quickly picked Nianyang up into his arms from the ground.
The little girl was covered in mud, and the hair that Li Tingyan had neatly combed for her was now a ss. Her previously clean face was now smudged black and white.
Fortunately, there was only grass underneath, so Nianyang only had minor scrapes on her shin and arm, nothing serious.
But even these small injuries were enough to make Li Tingyan’s heart ache for a year. He took out so wet wipes he carried with him and gently wiped Nianyang’s face. "Nini, does it hurt? It’s all my fault for coming back too late, making you get hurt again."
Just then, Old Master Chu and his group happened to co over to call Li Tingyan and the others for dinner. Seeing this scene, everyone was shocked and turned pale.

"Did Yangyang fall?"
"Nannan, are you all right!"
Just as Li Tingyan finished cleaning Nianyang, Old Master Chu and his group gathered around. Noticing Nianyang’s injuries, Shang Wan slapped Li Tingyan on the back, "You brat, how are you taking care of Yangyang? A grown man, letting your wife fall?"
"Li Tingyan, how did you lead Nannan around?"
Old Master Chu’s expression was also displeased. He had just thought that Li Tingyan was doing well, only for him to pull such a stunt.
Li Tingyan said apologetically, "I’m sorry, Grandpa Chu. I just stepped away for a mont. I didn’t expect this to happen."
Yunrou frowned, "Where is Luo Xia? Wasn’t she with you?"
Luo Xia walked up nervously, "I’m sorry, it’s all my fault. Mr. Li asked to watch over Miss Chu, but I couldn’t hold it and went to the restroom for a mont. When I ca back, she had already fallen!"
Everyone had a subtle expression, and Old Master Chu roared with a strong voice, "Nonsense, Nannan can’t move much, so how could she fall on her own?"
Luo Xia bit her lip, with a wronged expression as if she also didn’t know, making everyone reluctant to bla her.
Li Tingyan, however, wasn’t planning on letting it go. He stepped in front of Luo Xia, casting a sinister and piercing gaze at her,
"Are you sure Nini’s fall had nothing to do with you?"
Facing Li Tingyan’s seemingly all-knowing gaze, Luo Xia’s legs went weak for a mont. She lied through her teeth, saying, "I-I don’t know anything. Mr. Li, are you suggesting I pushed Miss Chu?"
Who was Li Tingyan? He had long known the reaction of soone lying out of guilt.
He let out a cold laugh, bloodthirsty and vicious, "I didn’t think so before, but now that you put it that way, I’m sure you pushed Nini!"
Luo Xia’s face turned ashen as she started shouting, "Mr. Li, you can’t bla like this. I ca specifically to take care of Miss Chu. We hold no grudges, why would I push her?"
Li Tingyan gritted his teeth in anger, "Yes, I also want to know what Nini did to offend you. She’s so fragile, unable to affect anyone. How could you be so heartless towards her? Do you think I wouldn’t dare kill and commit arson out of nowhere?"
But I think you’re naive. I won’t let anyone who harms my wife go!"
Luo Xia trembled violently, and even Old Master Chu caught on, glaring coldly at her, "Did you really push my granddaughter? Do you have a death wish?"
