Point-of-View: Satan

———————————————————————————

"It’s ti for the second semi-final, and this promises to be one of the best match-ups of the competition! Two of the oldest and most powerful beings in the world clash, it’s the Demon Lord Satan vs the Plasma Dragon King Frielektra!"

"You have my sympathy...I have a significant advantage in an enclosed space like this, it would have been a much more even battle if it were in a wider, more open space," Remarked Frielektra, as we stepped onto the arena.

"Yes, I cannot deny that...your Dragon Fire is much more a threat in an enclosed space, after all. However, I would not celebrate my victory just yet if I were you," I replied with a smirk, as the barrier ford around us.

That was partly a bluff...I am at a significant disadvantage here. If this fight drags on for too long, my defeat will be all but guaranteed...which ans, my best chance for victory is to end this fight as soon as possible...

"Here’s the countdown! Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! THREE! TWO!! ONE!!! ZEROOOO!!!!"

I unleashed a massive blast of Negative Energy before swiftly flying up as she zipped across the space to evade my attack, before she spread out her wings and shot up into the air as I fired off a barrage of piercing Negative Energy projectiles.

As she flew up, I took aim and unleashed a massive, swirling sphere of Obliteration, sending it barreling towards her with imnse speed.

She quickly swooped down, narrowly evading it before zipping towards as she unleashed a wave of blue flas at from her jaws.

I flew back while simultaneously forming a wall of Obliteration energy in front of myself, canceling out her flas as they converged towards and collided against my Obliteration wall.

She shot forward as her flas petered out, before I split my Obliteration wall into a dozen small sphere and fired them at her. She weaved across the air to evade them while continuing to charge towards , grimacing as one of the spheres grazed the side of her right arm, blood streaming down her arm as the sphere wiped out the scales around the spot.

I quickly flew across to my left as she closed in on and drove her claws towards my stomach, which sliced across my right hip, inflicting a deep gash before she rapidly spun around and whipped her tail towards .

I crossed my arms in front of myself defensively right in the nick of ti, her tail slamming against my arms with imnse force as I got sent flying across at an alarming speed, my back slamming onto the barrier with a jarring impact, before I scrambled to regain my bearings and zipped off to my right as a blast of blue flas ca barreling towards , narrowly evading the flas as they collided against the barrier.

I then let myself plumt as she unleashed a blazing, wide wave of blue flas towards , the air around the arena steadily growing hotter as I took aim while plumting and fired out a slashing wave of Negative Energy at Frielektra.

She swiftly unleashed a bolt of lightning, canceling out my Negative Energy before swooping down after as I unleashed a barrage of Obliteration blasts at her.

A few of my blasts grazed her, drawing out blood, my feet thudding against the floor of the arena before I sprang back as she closed in on , her feet coated in blue flas as she drove them down towards .

Her feet slamd onto the arena with imnse force, cracks spreading out before her flas began to lt the tiles, right as several massive streaks of lightning erupted all around her, dancing across the arena and scorching the tiles black as I raced across to evade the lightning, before one of them grazed my arm, my body sharply stiffening up.

Frielektra imdiately shot towards as she unleashed a scorching wave of blue flas at my from her jaws, I quickly flew up to evade them, before extending out my claws and swinging them at my ankles as the flas kissed my feet, cutting them off before the flas could spread up my legs.

Frielektra leapt up and forward with a powerful flap of her wings, grabbing my left calf as my feet regenerated, before unleashing a burst of flas.

I quickly slashed at my left knee, severing my calf and flying up before firing out a wave of Obliteration down at her.

She zipped away rapidly, narrowly evading my blast as it struck the floor of the arena and drilled down, before a massive, swirling blue fireball ca blazing up towards .

I countered with a blast of Obliteration, the fireball dispersing as my attack burst through it and barreled down towards Frielektra, who zipped out from under it and flew up, before firing off a barrage of blue flas all around her...looks like she’s gearing up to finish this, it won’t be long before the entire arena is set ablaze.

The only reason she didn’t do this from the start is because she wanted to enjoy the fight a bit before winning...very well, then. Two can play at that ga!

I then began unleashing waves of Obliteration blasts all around , forcing her to evade while continuing to fire off her flas...it’s only a matter of ti before the two of us run out of room to evade, her flas are spreading rapidly, and my Obliteration blasts are slowing down her fla output, forcing her to shift so of her focus onto evasion.

On a side note, I have to say, this safety barrier is incredible...it seems to be indestructible, even my Obliteration and Frielektra’s Dragon Fire can’t damage it.

I know it’s much stronger than a normal safety barrier, it requires a trendous amount of Mana to maintain, we had to spent weeks charging and filling the Magic Item that casts the barrier with Mana. Despite that, I wasn’t expecting it to be so imnsely durable.

Back to the fight...Frielektra was flying around the space while continuing to unleash her flas, blood pouring down her entire body as several of my Obliteration blasts grazed her. She’s managing to avoid any direct hits, but the damage is starting to pile up.

The Dragon Kings don’t have a regeneration ability like we Demons do, but their bodies are far more durable than ours are...still, when it cos to my Obliteration, I can destroy anything that’s not a Soul Weapon, not matter how durable.

Damn it, I feel like I’m being cooked alive, it’s so hot in here...

I then quickly slashed off the flesh around my right hip as a wisp of Dragon Fire grazed that spot, severing it before the flas could spread, while continuing to fire Obliteration blasts at her...when our attacks clash, my Obliteration will wipe out her flas, but the flas across the arena are spreading far faster than I can wipe them out, at least without taking my focus off her, which would be fatal.

I just need to keep this up for a bit longer, almost there...suddenly Frielektra’s eyes widened in alarm as she realized what I was doing, noticing that she was drawing closer and closer to a corner of the barrier.

She’s caught on, but it’s too late...she has no more room to evade!

I then unleashed a fierce barrage of Obliteration at her as she got pinned to the corner, as she quickly opened her mouth and sent a trendous wave of blue flas shooting towards .

I had no room left to evade, the flas burning across the arena were starting to rise...one way or another, this fight will end soon.

As the massive wave of flas closed in on , I unleashed as much Obliteration energy as I could, but the flas were too wipe for to wipe it all out...my back was to the barrier, and the flas are right in front of .

I strained back as far as I could, flattening my body against the wall of the barrier as I exerted a final burst of Obliteration, right as the flas reached and closed in on my head.

Suddenly, I found myself outside the barrier, a slight shiver running across my body at being abruptly exposed to the vastly cooler air outside the barrier.

I clenched my fists in frustration as beads of sweat ran down my face...damn it, looks like I lost, after al-...hm?

My train of thought was then cut off as I spotted Frielektra, also outside the arena. Huh? What’s going on?

"Talk about intense, what a match we just witnessed! And what a close result...both participants were teleported out, but one was teleported just about a second before the other! The winner of the second semi-final, and our second finalist of the competition, is...the Demon Lord Satan!" Exclaid the announcer, as the crowd erupted into deafening cheers.

Huh? I won?

"Impressive...perhaps I should have tried to end the fight a lot sooner than it did," Sighed Frielektra, before reabsorbing the flas spreading across the arena as the barrier faded, before it could spread to the rest of the stadium, a stifling wave of heat washing over the area...
