Shortly after the discussion with Veronica in the Town Hall’s office, Xu Feng ultimately left the remaining administrative work to her.
Now that he was the Guild Leader, he didn’t feel the need to work like a slave he did in the past tiline.
Naturally, Veronica was left disgruntled and demanded for assistants.
However, when Xu Feng simply brought up the question as to who she got, Veronica’s face quickly darkened and chased him out of the office.
The stakes in the Vanguard Guild were at the highest. She couldn’t possibly entrust just any Tom, Dick, or Harry to beco her assistant.
As for those who she could entrust, they were already entrusted with a different task by Xu Feng.
Thus, she lashed out and chased Xu Feng out because she was afraid of committing treason and rebellion if he were to remain.
"Ugh, this Guild Leader can only be relied on important events but not others." Veronica plopped on the chair and exhaled deeply in defeat. She felt like she had been deceived hard by her friend, Carn.
Carn was able to go wild without any restriction whereas she was stuck at an office—in a video ga no less!
While Veronica was frustrated by her circumstances, Xu Feng managed to flee the Town Hall and heaved a sigh of relief.
’Phew, good thing I ran away fast.’ He patted his chest. Having been in Veronica’s position for so long, he understood what she felt. It was equivalent to a ticking bomb in the office, ready to explode at any mont.
There was no way he would allow himself to be hard in the process.
Moreover, he didn’t flee to slack off but to create more explosions.
The training hall needed to be popularized and beco the new crazed building for all players. Only that way could Xu Feng effectively take over the market and pivot his Vanguard Guild to a new height.
With that in mind, Xu Feng went to his personal room in the town and activated the Mirage Pendant. This ti, he planned on changing his appearance and identity to soone completely different.
As for who he decided upon, Xu Feng chose Nathan—the sa person he occupied during the Origin Trial revolving around the Battleship Lux.
Since he knew he had to return to the second Origin Trial once he reached the requirent, he might as well get used to Nathan’s physiques and features.
After the transformation, Xu Feng felt sowhat weird and awkward that his current equipnt was a stark difference from Nathan in the Origin Trial.
’What a pity.’ He thought to himself. It would be a lie if he didn’t intend to replicate the equipnt and clothes used by Nathan.
With the disguise completed, Xu Feng had no intention of revealing this identity to anyone.
Hence, he also made sure to retrieve a brand new town token and activate it.
Soti later, he teleported to the Teleport Platform of Haven Wind Town.
"Welco to Haven Wind Town! Do you wish to have a tour guide or a map guide to assist your smooth journey in our town?" As soon as Xu Feng appeared as "Nathan", a mber of the Vanguard Guild approached him.
Xu Feng turned his attention to them and realized it was none other than Benson.
The incident regarding Benson who betrayed his own Team Leader, Dark Night because of his simp behavior toward Blue Star was known to him.
Veronica even inford him separately about how Dark Night ultimately decided to keep Benson in the team in respect to Veronica’s decision.
But even then, Dark Night never gave Benson a chance or any information regarding the Night Team. Instead, Dark Night ordered Benson around to do the most tedious and painful job available in the Vanguard Guild.
Who could have imagined this infamous Benson to beco one of the people responsible for guiding the newcor?
’Hmm, with his tainted reputation, and how there might be spies coming over. I supposed this might be an arrangent from Veronica to Dark Night to make Benson annoy the spies.’ Xu Feng quickly ca up with a few thoughts as to why Benson was present here.
Although all newcors to the town were valuable guests, not all of them would be treated with hospitality.
Toward those who ca as a real guest, they would naturally be treated with respect. But toward those who ca with other intentions, then they definitely needed to be given a lesson.
"Um, Sir, do you want to purchase any guide?" Benson asked once again.
"No thanks, I have a friend here who has arrived earlier and purchased a guide already." Xu Feng shook his head and explained.
A look of disappointnt appeared on Benson’s face, but he didn’t dare to be rude or impolite.
He simply smiled lightly and scratched his head. "Is that so? Then may you enjoy your ti at our Haven Wind Town."
Having said that, Benson’s eyes quickly darted to the new streaks of light appearing in the teleport platform. It was clear that the mission given to him had a significant impact on whether he could fully return to the Night Team or not.
Shaking his head, Xu Feng held no comnts toward Benson’s behavior.
This was Benson’s consequence for the impulsive action, and he had no intention of interfering with the decision made by Veronica and Dark Night.
’Let’s see where Kailey is bringing our dear Illuminati representative.’ Xu Feng opened his map and checked Kailey’s location which had been shared with him.
Without much surprise, Xu Feng spotted her near the Training Hall.
Due to nurous rumors and word of mouth, the Training Hall had beco a popular hotspot for all newcors to go to. After all, they all wanted to personally verify the truth themselves if they had spent 10 silver coins to enter the town.
Soti later, Xu Feng arrived at the Training Hall and it was filled to the brim.
Players crowded outside the entrance which was heavily restricted by the Town’s Guards.
