Lin Xi walked aside and answered the call. Xue Yang’s magnetic voice instantly ca through from the other end.
"Xiao Xi, happy Valentine’s Day!"
Upon hearing his voice, the discomfort of being in a strange city seed to vanish into thin air. She responded, "Xue Yang, happy Valentine’s Day!"
"This is our first Valentine’s Day since we got together. It’s a sha you can’t be by my side."
"Xue Yang, where are you right now?"
"I’m not at ho today. I was at a class reunion. We just finished eating, and they went to sing, but I didn’t go."

Standing on the bank of West Lake, Xue Yang watched the fireworks continuously rising into the sky not far away, their reflections blooming into dazzling flowers on the water’s surface.

Lin Xi gestured for her friends to follow her.
"Are you seeing any fireworks right now?" she asked.
"I am."
"Are they pretty?"
"Very pretty."
"Are you close to where the fireworks are?"
"They’re being set off not far from . Um, roughly in the three o’clock direction."
While talking to Xue Yang on the phone, Lin Xi started walking toward the direction he had indicated.
"There are fireworks here, too. Can you hear them?"
"I can. What a coincidence. Are they beautiful?"
"Beautiful. Guess what color the fireworks are over here?"

Xue Yang obediently closed his eyes. Even though he knew Lin Xi was just teasing him, he still did as she said and began to count. "One... two... three..."
He slowly opened his eyes. A familiar, fresh scent drifted to him, and a beautiful figure in pink was standing right before him.
Am I hallucinating? he thought, closing his eyes and opening them again. But the pink figure was still there, smiling at him. Has the quality of hallucinations gotten this high? This one is even animated.
As her stunningly beautiful face suddenly lood closer, Xue Yang was even more astonished.
"It even moves," he muttered in a daze.
At that mont, a few peals of silvery laughter rang out from behind her.
"Haha! Xiao Xi, your Xue Yang is hilarious!"
"He’s so fun to tease! Xue Yang, take another look at the rest of us. Do we look real to you?"
Xue Yang suddenly snapped back to his senses. His gaze fixed on the person before him, and in that instant, everything seed to solidify as Lin Xi’s face ca into sharp, high-definition focus.
"Xiao Xi?"
Lin Xi stood on her tiptoes, leaned close to Xue Yang, and gently pressed a sweet kiss to his lips. "It’s !"
Xue Yang’s breath hitched. "Xiao Xi, it’s really you!"
Almost subconsciously, he swept his arms forward, pulling her into his embrace.
The familiar scent filled his nostrils. He knew this was all real. Lin Xi was truly here.
"Surprised?"
"Surprised? I’m beyond surprised! What are you doing here?"
He had never, ever imagined Lin Xi would actually appear before him. This was more shocking than winning the lottery.
"I ca to spend Valentine’s Day with you."
"Xiao Xi, thank you! Thank you for coming to spend Valentine’s Day with ."
"You’re welco. We’re a couple, aren’t we?"
