Amid the sea of praise, a negative comnt suddenly surfaced. It was like a stone tossed into a calm lake, sending out ripples that drew everyone’s attention to another girl.
This girl possessed a beauty that rivaled Lin Xi’s. But when it ca to her figure, she was still a far cry from Lin Xi. What’s more, unlike Lin Xi, her eyes held a worldly gaze—a look that detracted from her otherwise perfect appearance.
"Xue Yang!"
Lin Xi rushed toward Xue Yang, wanting to leap into his arms, but the large bouquet of flowers he was holding blocked her path.
She could only stop where she was, holding her arms open. "Xue Yang, a hug..." she pleaded, her voice tinged with anxiety.
If she were a little kitten right now, she’d definitely be pawing at his leg and owing pitifully.
Maybe getting a cat would be nice. But this bouquet is a bit in the way for now. Where should I put it?

Si Wen lifted the flowers higher, blocking the "dog food" that was about to be shoved down her throat.
Why did I have to rush over? I finally catch up, only to get a mouthful of dog food.

Lin Xi practically draped herself over Xue Yang, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck. She buried her head in his shoulder, deeply inhaling his familiar scent.
They had never been apart for this long before. A full half-month, which had felt like an eternity.
"Xiao Xi, I missed you too," Xue Yang murmured, his hands firmly supporting her bouncy little bottom to keep them from losing their balance and falling.
The rainy night was damp and troubleso—usually unpleasant weather. But because of the two tightly embracing figures, the air was suddenly filled with a cloyingly sweet aroma.

Everyone wanted to leave, but they couldn’t bring themselves to go. The romance between such a gorgeous couple was just too addictive to watch.
"I rushed out as soon as class was over, but I still made you wait so long," Lin Xi said, her voice muffled against his shoulder.
"You don’t need to rush next ti. I don’t mind waiting a bit longer."
"No, I just wanted to see you, so I wanted to see you as soon as possible."
"Well, you see now."
Lin Xi smiled sweetly.
"Yeah."
The sickeningly sweet sll in the air intensified.
"In such a great atmosphere, it would be a cri not to kiss," soone in the crowd suddenly shouted.
Soon, many others joined in, until finally, the entire crowd was chanting.

Si Wen wished she could bury her head in the bouquet.
As if getting a faceful of their PDA wasn’t enough, do they have to chew it up and feed it to , too? Though, seeing Xue Yang and Lin Xi get all flustered might actually be pretty fun.
"Kiss, kiss," she whispered, joining the hecklers.
Seeing everyone chanting, a deep blush spread across Lin Xi’s pretty face. Luckily, it was nightti. Otherwise, she would have wanted to dig a hole and crawl into it.
"Xue Yang, let’s run," she whispered.
"Okay. On the count of three, we run."
Xue Yang gently set Lin Xi down. Standing together under the watchful eyes of the crowd, they made a break for the car.
"Hey, hey, don’t run!" the crowd yelled, disappointed.
"What else would they do but run?" Peng Zihui snorted. "Stay here and make a spectacle of themselves?"
"Peng Zihui, what’s wrong? Jealous? It’s no use. Soone like you, who reeks of money, doesn’t deserve such a pure romance."
Hearing this, Peng Zihui looked as though her tail had been stepped on. Her expression imdiately darkened.
"Si Wen, you’re just Lin Xi’s little lapdog. What do you have to be so proud of?"
What the hell? It’s not like I’m ugly, and I’m not any less attractive than Lin Xi. So why won’t any guys pursue ? Forget pursuing, not a single guy even talks to normally!
"Peng Zihui, it seems you’ve misunderstood sothing," Si Wen said coolly.
"What?"
"You don’t even qualify to be a lapdog. After all, not just anyone has the privilege of being *our* lapdog."

With that, Si Wen turned and walked away, but she had already committed Peng Zihui’s na to her ntal blacklist.
"Zihui, you shouldn’t have been so impulsive just now," a girl beside Peng Zihui whispered in her ear. "That was Miss Lin and Miss Si. You’ll have to face the consequences for offending them."
"Hou Mingming, tell , why won’t any boy give flowers?"
"Huh?" Hou Mingming stamred, her mind struggling to keep up.
Wait, so Peng Zihui caused this whole scene just because no one gives her flowers?
"Well? Say sothing."
"Zihui, if you were just a little... nicer when you talk, maybe guys would dare to give you flowers."
With such a foul temper, she never lets anything go. What guy would be blind enough to go for her? This is Harlow, not so other school. Everyone here is either rich or powerful. "Si Wen, just ignore her," Lin Xi said gently.
"I’m trying to, but she was just so nasty and disgusting. I won’t feel right until I get her back."
"I don’t care what other people think. Right, Xue Yang?" Lin Xi turned to look at Xue Yang, who was starting the engine.
He glanced back at her. "That’s right. With so many people in the world, you can’t get everyone’s approval. Don’t waste your energy on soone so insignificant."
Fair enough. If the main characters aren’t mad, why should an onlooker like be upset?
Si Wen sat up straight, though her lips were still in a pout. After a mont, she scooted over and handed the bouquet back to Lin Xi. "Your flowers. Here."
Lin Xi took the bouquet and inhaled its fragrance deeply, her heart filled with joy.
"Xue Yang, thank you for the flowers. I love gardenias the most."
"I’m glad you like them."
