The broadcast reached far and wide, covering the entire school. Since the college entrance exam had ended, the rising third-year students had gradually returned to campus. As a result, even more people heard the announcent.

The instant Lin Xi heard Xue Yang’s voice, she dashed out of the room. She knew he wouldn’t fail to show up. Although she couldn’t see him, Lin Xi felt a telepathic connection, certain he was encouraging her from sowhere nearby.
Seeing Lin Xi sprint out, the classroom imdiately erupted with cheers. The girls couldn’t contain their envy.
"Wow, a romance where both people are devoted to each other is the most touching thing. I’m not Lin Xi, but I can feel how happy she must be right now."
"I’m so jealous! Why don’t I have a boyfriend that romantic?"
The boys, on the other hand, had different thoughts. "Damn it, he’s showing off again."

Seeing Lin Xi leave, Peng Zihui crossed her arms and snorted, "What’s the big deal about being in a relationship? Look how excited you all are. You’re making a big deal out of nothing."
"If it’s no big deal, why don’t you get into one yourself? What’s the use of being sour about others all the ti?" a voice cut in, causing Peng Zihui’s face to turn livid.
"Si Wen, what’s that supposed to an?"
Si Wen gave her a light glance. "Get lost."
"This is a classroom. Who are you to tell to get lost?"
"Peng Zihui, I have a bad temper. If you don’t get lost, don’t bla for what happens next."
"Si Wen, don’t think you can do whatever you want just because your family is rich."
Pointing to the classroom door, Si Wen stated bluntly, "If you think this is doing whatever I want, then fine. Now, get out of the classroom imdiately."
Peng Zihui was left in an awkward position with no way to back down gracefully. She glanced around, only to find that not a single person would speak up for her. After all, the person she had offended was Si Wen. While Si Wen’s family wasn’t as powerful as Lin Xi’s, her background was still formidable, and no one else in the class could compare. Besides, Peng Zihui had brought this on herself by making snide remarks about Lin Xi. Who would dare to defend her? Even her supposed best friend, Hou Mingming, didn’t dare say a word.
This was reality.
But was Peng Zihui the type to give up so easily? Obviously not. She retorted angrily, "Si Wen, the teacher is still in the classroom! By doing this, you’re showing him no respect!"
Si Wen snorted. "I actually hold my teachers in high regard—unlike so people whose combined test scores are lower than their own height."
Peng Zihui’s face flushed red with anger. "Si Wen, I’ll fight you!" she yelled, moving to pounce on her.
Just then, the teacher at the side finally spoke up. "Alright, it’s the last day of your junior year. Are you really going to start a fight? Peng Zihui, that’s enough from you."
"Teacher, Si Wen provoked first!"
"I saw perfectly well who started it. If you don’t want to be kicked out, then be quiet now."
Peng Zihui choked on her anger once more, but with the teacher having spoken, what more could she say? She could only slump back into her seat, fuming.
Do I deserve such unfair treatnt just because my grades are bad?
She seed to forget that if she hadn’t provoked Lin Xi in the first place, none of this would have happened. What fairness? If you lack ability, your best option is to keep your mouth shut. Fairness has always been a luxury for the capable.

Wang Yiran and Xiang Xiaolong had just arrived at the broadcast station entrance when the song playing over the speakers stopped them in their tracks.
Wang Yiran’s expression turned grim. "Why does that voice sound so familiar?"
Xiang Xiaolong felt the sa way. Suddenly, it hit him. "Don’t tell ... it’s that Xue Yang guy?" he asked in disbelief. Since he ntioned Lin Xi at the beginning, it had to be him.
With that thought, they started to head inside. Before they could even push the door, Lin Xi floated past them like a fairy descending to earth, leaving nothing but a trail of faint, fresh fragrance in her wake. Before they could process what had happened, a soft, sweet voice drifted from inside.
"Xue Yang~"
Their legs went weak, and they almost lost their footing. That voice was simply illegal; no guy could withstand it. In fact, even the girl who was inside the booth with Xue Yang shuddered when she heard it, a tingling sensation shooting straight to the top of her head. Because the broadcast was still live, everyone outside the station heard it too.
"Is that the Young Miss’s voice? Oh my god, I’m in love."
"Damn, that guy is so lucky."
"Damn it, he’s flexing on us again!"
Xue Yang imdiately shut off the broadcast and opened his arms wide to welco his treasured girl.
"Xiao Xi, I’m sorry I’m late."
Lin Xi flung herself at him. Just as she always did when waiting for him to co ho, she leaped into his arms, wrapping her hands tightly around his neck and her legs around his waist. She clung to him as if she were a pendant that belonged on him. She affectionately rubbed her beautiful cheek against his. "You’re not late. As long as you co, it’s never too late. I’m so happy, Xue Yang. Thank you. I really love the song you sang."
Lin Xi never knew Xue Yang was such a good singer. There was still so much she didn’t know about him.
"I’m glad you liked it. I’ve co to take you ho."
"Okay, but first let go back to the classroom and get my things. My books are still there."
"Alright, I’ll go with you."
"Okay."
Xue Yang gently set Lin Xi down, and they walked out of the broadcast station hand in hand. Outside the door, Wang Yiran and Xiang Xiaolong were still in a state of shock. They were so stunned that they didn’t even react as Lin Xi and Xue Yang walked past. Only after the couple was far in the distance did Wang Yiran and Xiang Xiaolong finally snap out of it.
"We... should go."
It’s a good thing I haven’t confessed yet, or I’d be the clown right now. It seems Lin Xi and I are just not ant to be.
