The eting finally ended at 12:00 PM. After a quick lunch of fast food, everyone dove back into their hectic work. According to the schedule, the company party would be held after they finished for the day. While play was important, so was work. A company dinner wouldn’t feel as rewarding without having earned it.
"President Xue, when are you returning to school?" Tony asked, entering Xue Yang’s office.
Xue Yang stopped typing and replied, "August 17th."
Tony glanced at his phone. "So, that’s next Tuesday." Ti is tight. It was obvious President Xue would be swamped these next few days.
Tony felt a pang of regret. Xue Yang had been back in Hui City for a while, yet he still hadn’t found the ti to have a drink with him.
Xue Yang gave a slight nod. The 15th was the housewarming, and the 16th would likely be busy with follow-up matters. Returning to school on the 17th was perfect timing. He had it all planned out.
Tony said, "Looks like I’ll have to find another ti to have that drink with you alone."

"OK."
Satisfied, Tony left Xue Yang’s office, leaving him alone once more.

"Uncle Lin, I’d like to invite you to our housewarming banquet on the 15th of this month. It will be at the Emperor Hotel." When dealing with an important figure like Lin Zhenhai, it was best to skip the pleasantries and get straight to the point.

After hanging up, Lin Zhenhai looked up and asked, "Secretary Li, do I have any plans on the 15th?"
Jiawen Li was taken aback for a mont before replying, "Chairman, on the 15th, there’s a banquet at the Emperor Hotel around noon." That’s strange. I already reported his schedule to him, so why is he asking again? Chairman Lin never asks about his schedule twice.
Lin Zhenhai grunted in acknowledgnt and then fell silent.
"Chairman, do you have sothing else scheduled that day? I can reschedule this eting if needed."
In truth, these etings were trivial. They only existed because people had heard Chairman Lin was in Hui City and were trying every possible ans to curry favor with him through an invitation. Therefore, his attendance was of little importance.
"No need. Just proceed as usual."
"Alright, Chairman."
After speaking with Lin Zhenhai, Xue Yang called Lin Xi.
Lin Xi was drawing. Seeing Xue Yang’s call, she imdiately set down her paintbrush and answered.
"Xue Yang~"
Her sweet, playful voice traveled through the phone, and Xue Yang smiled faintly. "Have you eaten?"
"I have. Did you call my dad?"
"I did, and he agreed to co."
Hearing that her father had agreed, Lin Xi’s eyes curved into smiling crescents. "I knew Dad would agree! Let see how many days until the 15th... one, two... Oh, there are still three days left!"
