Liu Shiqi was unaware of the truth and continued discussing the novel with Lin Xi.
When she realized that Lin Xi could answer every question she raised, and that her answers felt incredibly true to the original story, Liu Shiqi’s eyes lit up.

After registering on the 2nd and familiarizing themselves with the campus, a welco gala was held on the evening of the 3rd. This had always been a tradition at Yanbei University.
However, Xue Yang, the student council president, had once again made himself scarce.
After Wei Shuyu finished her opening remarks, it was ti for the university leaders to give their speeches. The early part of the gala was always quite dull, but it was part of the procedure and couldn’t be skipped. They just had to endure it.

"I heard that too. The current president is supposedly a guy, a sophomore. They say he’s very mysterious and is hardly ever on campus."
"What? He’s that brazen as a sophomore? Doesn’t the university administration care?"
"That’s where you’re mistaken. Yanbei is different from other universities; it’s all about self-discipline here. The professors are incredibly strict, though. If you dare skip class, they’ll deduct credits imdiately. Of course, if you’re as capable as the student council president, you can get special permission from them."
"Is the student council president really that impressive?" Isn’t it just a title for soone who throws their weight around under the school’s authority?
The other person scoffed, "What are you talking about?"
"Huh? Is there sothing wrong with asking that?"
"He’s not just ’impressive.’"
The student was left montarily speechless.
"He’s *extrely* impressive. I heard that he started a gaming company during his freshman year and also beca the CEO of a well-known apparel company. On top of that, he used this past sumr break to open a massive new energy vehicle marketplace..."
Hearing his dorm mate’s account, the person’s mouth fell open in an ’O’ shape.
Is this student council president living out so kind of power-fantasy novel? In just one year, he’s accomplished things most people couldn’t do in a lifeti. Is he even human?
"So, you still think he’s just ’impressive’?"
The person gave a thumbs-up. After a mont’s thought, feeling that wasn’t enough, he raised his other thumb as well. "The man is a god."
anwhile, Xue Yang, the so-called god among n, had just finished a phone call and arrived backstage at the welco gala.
"President Xue, you finally made it." Seeing Xue Yang appear, Wei Shuyu’s anxious heart finally settled. She ran up to him like a puppy eagerly awaiting its owner’s praise.
"See? It’s going perfectly well. Your abilities certainly haven’t disappointed ," Xue Yang comnted.
"But without you here, it feels like sothing is missing. It’s like... it’s missing its soul."
"This just proves you can handle things on your own, even without ."
"Hee hee."
"Tch! Suck-up."
Hearing the voice, Xue Yang glanced over. Xia Tian imdiately averted his gaze, feeling guilty. He only dared to say such things in front of Wei Shuyu; in front of Xue Yang, he wouldn’t dare breathe a word.
Xue Yang ignored him, instead reviewing the gala’s schedule with Wei Shuyu. As the student council president, he was required to give a speech. Wei Shuyu had already prepared a draft for him in advance.
Xue Yang had prepared one himself, but not wanting to waste her kind effort, he accepted it anyway. "Thank you. You’ve worked hard."
Hearing Xue Yang’s praise, Wei Shuyu felt that all her recent hard work had been worth it.
So people are just like that—born kings. Even just standing there, they exude an aura that commands submission. One would willingly go through fire and water for him.
"My speech is next, I believe. I’ll go get ready," Xue Yang said.
"Okay, President Xue. You’ve got this!"
As soon as Xue Yang left, Xia Tian couldn’t hold back any longer.
"Wei Shuyu, you’re such a bootlicker." He looked at her as if she were sothing disgusting.
Wei Shuyu, however, was unbothered. She simply wanted to follow her heart.
So what if I’m bootlicking President Xue? What’s he going to do about it? Bite ? If he has the guts, then go on, I dare him.
Ignored, Xia Tian’s face darkened. But what could he do? He couldn’t actually lunge over and bite Wei Shuyu, could he?
Forget it. Out of sight, out of mind. I’m not the one being a bootlicker, so why should I care so much?
Seeing that Xia Tian had finally quieted down, Wei Shuyu hurried to the front of the stage to watch Xue Yang’s speech.
I was there when he ran for student council president, and the atmosphere was absolutely electrifying. He’s a true natural-born leader. An ordinary sentence that would sound stilted from anyone else’s mouth seems to carry a magical quality when spoken by Xue Yang, genuinely inspiring the crowd.

Lin Xi and Si Wen sat in the designated area for the business administration departnt, naturally overhearing the discussions. Lin Xi’s expression remained placid, as if the vicious person they were talking about wasn’t her at all. Only when her gaze fell upon Xue Yang did a hint of warmth appear in her eyes.
Si Wen’s expression didn’t change much either.
University really is a world apart from high school. For instance, the gossip in high school was nothing compared to this. Just one small incident has transford Xiao Xi’s image into that of a tigress.
