"Sister Si Wen..." Xue Xing lowered his head in annoyance, unsure of what to say. He wasn’t very good at interacting with girls; it had always been that way, even back at school. If a girl approached him for a chat, he generally ignored her. Unless they asked him how to solve a problem, in which case he would say a few more words to explain his thought process. If they still couldn’t understand after he taught them, he wouldn’t continue. Because it’s a waste of ti. Besides, people without a natural talent for learning won’t improve no matter how much you teach them.
Just then, Si Wen seed to notice his awkwardness and asked, "How much longer until dinner?"
Xue Xing glanced at the ti and quickly replied, "About another half an hour."
Si Wen nodded. After a mont of silence, she spoke again. "Want to play a round?"
"Sure," Xue Xing replied instantly.
Realizing how eager he sounded, he lowered his head and explained, "It’s... it’s a rare chance to take a day off. One ga should be fine, right?"
"No problem, but only one round. Go study after we eat."
Xue Xing secretly breathed a sigh of relief. In situations like this, he genuinely preferred studying. Otherwise, he had no idea how he would get through the next stretch of ti. Although this wasn’t the first ti they had been alone together, he still felt a little nervous.
The two went to the living room and sat on the sofa. Si Wen had already taken out her phone and handed Xue Xing his. Picking up her own, she and Xue Xing sat side-by-side. As a familiar startup chi rang out, King’s Ga launched on their screens.

Xue Xing wished he could find a hole to crawl into. What would happen if I said it wasn’t ? But I’ve already taken leave from school. If I deny it’s now, I’ll just look guilty.
Noticing his strange reaction, Si Wen looked up and asked with a puzzled expression, "What’s wrong?"
Xue Xing’s expression was a mixture of dread and resignation. He hesitated for a mont before saying, "My horoom teacher... is online..."
Si Wen was speechless. Seriously? Busted by his horoom teacher the mont he logs in? Is your horoom teacher really that free? Shouldn’t a third-year high school horoom teacher be constantly monitoring their students’ studies?
"I guess... she probably just logged on for her daily check-in and happened to see online," Xue Xing explained sheepishly. "The ga recently released so new free skins that you can only get through consecutive daily check-ins."
"Oh~" Si Wen wasn’t interested in free skins. Whenever a new skin ca out, she simply bought it. For the ones she couldn’t buy, she usually hired boosters to get them for her. Her one and only requirent was that her account remained number one in everything. Cost was never an issue.
Xue Xing pouted. "I’m so unlucky."
Si Wen shot him a look of pity. "Are we still playing?"
Lifting his head, his face a picture of misery, Xue Xing said, "She sent a team-up invitation..."
"..."
If your horoom teacher sends you a team-up invite, would you dare refuse? Xue Xing didn’t dare. He clicked accept.
The next second, a player with an avatar of a girl’s back and the na ’185’s Little Fairy’ joined the party.
"Pfft... ’185’s Little Fairy’..." Si Wen couldn’t help but chuckle. "Your teacher’s userna is pretty childish." This wasn’t her first ti teaming up with a teacher, but it was the first ti she’d encountered one like Xue Xing’s. She must be a pretty interesting person.
Xue Xing couldn’t bring himself to smile. It was his first ti ever playing a ga with his teacher. I don’t know if I should try to win or lose. If we lose, will she get angry?! If we win, will she get angry!?
"So... shall I start?" Si Wen asked.
Xue Xing nodded in resignation. "Go ahead."
Si Wen confird, and after about a minute, they found a match. On the hero selection screen, Si Wen chose the marksman, Luban, while Xue Xing, as usual, chose the support, Yao. Their horoom teacher, ’185’s Little Fairy,’ chose the jungler, Li Bai.
"Huh..." Si Wen comnted. "Your teacher is full of surprises." She had expected the teacher to pick a mid-laner or sothing similar, not a jungler.
Xue Xing forced a smile. How could she not be? She’s clearly a 155 cm-tall loli who claims to be 185 cm. She looks like a sweet little fairy, but her jungling is wickedly good. Xue Xing’s horoom teacher was a national-level jungler. Though she was only ranked in the top hundred, that was simply because she didn’t have ti to play. If she did, becoming number one in the country would be no problem at all. As for why she didn’t pursue a career in professional gaming... it’s probably because, in most people’s eyes, playing video gas is considered a frivolous pursuit.
While waiting for the ga to load, Si Wen noticed the large emblem next to the teacher’s na. She raised an eyebrow. "A national-level Li Bai!? She’s got so skills."
The friendships between girls can be strange. Sotis, all it takes is a gut feeling to know if you can click with soone.
After the match started, Li Bai ca over to the marksman’s lane to gank a few tis. Their coordination was flawless, and soon, the two of them began a match-long campaign of tornting the enemy team, driving the opposition to a ntal breakdown.
The enemy jungler, Dian Wei, was an expert player in his own right and was used to dominating others. This was the first ti he had ever been so thoroughly crushed. After dying for the fifth ti, he finally couldn’t take it anymore and typed in the all-chat:
(All) Dian Wei: "Are the enemy jungler and marksman a couple?"
(All) Yao: "?"
(All) Dian Wei: "Looks like I was mistaken. Hey, Yao i, why don’t you stick with ? I’ll definitely carry you."
(All) Dian Wei: "When you’re low on health, I’ll protect you while you recall. I’ll even co back to the fountain to escort you. Princess Yao Yao’s feet shouldn’t have to touch the ground."
He hadn’t really ant to say all that, but after his mistaken assumption, not saying sothing would have been awkward.
(All) Yao: "!"
(All) Luban: "To the enemy team: as long as you don’t surrender, add after this ga. One hundred for each of you."
(All) Dian Wei: "?"
For nearly an hour, Dian Wei was relentlessly tortured. Every ti he tried to surrender, his teammates refused to vote yes.
「In a freshman male dormitory at Yanbei University.」
Dian Wei was grinding his molars so hard he thought they’d shatter. He looked up at his three roommates. "You three are taking this too far! Can’t you see how I’m being massacred? Hurry up and surrender! It just needs four of us to agree. The random’s opinion doesn’t matter."
One of them, a guy with bleached-yellow hair, looked up and said, "One hundred per person is three hundred total. Do you know how many paid boosting gas we’d have to play to earn that? It’s just getting killed a few tis. Calm down. Once the money cos in, we’ll go out for a big feast. Consider it compensation for your psychological damage."
