Lin Xi recognized the characters. They were penned by her grandfather, whose other inscriptions still adorned their family ho. Her grandfather was an extraordinary man who had made many contributions to Dragon Country.
"What’s the matter? Co to think of it, you share the sa surna as Mr. Lin Zhanghai. Perhaps you were part of the sa family five hundred years ago. Go on, touch it and soak in so of that scholarly air."
"Right!" Xue Yang positioned Lin Xi in the middle of Yanbei Gate. "Stand there," he said, "and I’ll take a photo of you as a keepsake."
Lin Xi linked her arm through his. "I don’t want to take a picture alone. I want to take it with you."
"Okay."
Xue Yang switched the phone to the front-facing cara. The two of them stood before Yanbei Gate, faces pressed together, and captured their first selfie. After the photo was taken, Lin Xi imdiately grabbed Xue Yang’s phone to look at it. In the picture, her face was nestled beside Xue Yang’s—a handso man and a beautiful woman. Yanbei Gate served as a perfect backdrop, making the photo incredibly aningful.
Without a second thought, Lin Xi sent the selfie to her own phone. Well, I have another option for my phone wallpaper now. I can alternate them, changing it every day.
"It’s getting late. Let’s head back to the hotel."
"Okay."
Hand in hand, they walked toward the hotel. It wasn’t snowing, but the ice on the road was slippery. They weren’t walking fast, yet Lin Xi still nearly slipped.
"Be careful."
Fortunately, Xue Yang’s quick reflexes saved her from falling.
Lin Xi felt a bit aggrieved. "I specifically bought non-slip boots."
Xue Yang walked in front of her and crouched down. "Hop on. I’ll carry you back."
"I’m wearing a lot of clothes, so I’m pretty heavy."

Lin Xi hesitated for a mont before climbing onto Xue Yang’s back. His back is so broad. Even though the thick coat makes it a bit uncomfortable, I feel so content.

Just after Xue Yang had hoisted Lin Xi onto his back, Cui Hao, Sun Yufei, and their friends erged from a street-side eatery. There were three girls and one guy in their group. Seeing a guy carrying a girl up ahead, they started teasing.
"Seeing how lovey-dovey they are makes want to be in a sweet relationship too. Cui Hao, is Xue Yang coming tonight? It’s already midnight."
"Yeah, where is Xue Yang? Give him a call and ask."
Cui Hao said with a smile, "Xue Yang probably won’t make it tonight. The kid said he’s busy working on a speech for the student council. Let’s just go to karaoke ourselves and not wait for him."
"Yufei, didn’t you say Xue Yang was coming? If he doesn’t, it won’t be as fun with just us. You and Cui Hao can go ahead. It’s late, so we’re going back to sleep." The two girls waved goodbye to Sun Yufei and Cui Hao, then turned and headed toward the school.
With them gone, only Cui Hao and Sun Yufei remained, which suited him perfectly. Nevertheless, he asked in a gentlemanly way, "So... where shall we go tonight?"
"Let’s go to a hotel."

Back at the hotel, Lin Xi took out the al Auntie Shen had prepared in a thermal container. "This is the al Auntie Shen prepared for you. Eat it while it’s hot."
It was the sa nutritious spread of four dishes and one soup, except the soup was a little strange, filled with goji berries.
"Auntie Shen said that guys should drink more goji berry soup. It’s good for their health."

After dinner, they rested for a bit, and Lin Xi went to take a shower first. Xue Yang sat on the couch and pinched the bridge of his nose. At that mont, they were like any ordinary couple: a husband attentively drying his wife’s hair while she quietly enjoyed it. The room was silent save for the hum of the hairdryer, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The heat was set to the most comfortable temperature, so she didn’t feel cold wearing only a bath towel.
After her hair was dry, Xue Yang went to take a shower. He usually took ten minutes at most, but this ti he was in there for a full fifteen. By the ti he ca out, Lin Xi had nearly fallen asleep.
Xue Yang was wearing a matching bath towel. He was tall and strong, and the towel showcased his physique perfectly, giving him an ascetic kind of beauty. He sat on the edge of the bed, wiping his hair.
"Xue Yang, let dry your hair."
Lin Xi climbed out of bed, grabbed the hairdryer, and began to dry his hair. Being a guy, Xue Yang’s hair wasn’t nearly as long as Lin Xi’s, which reached her bottom, and it was dry in no ti.
"It’s late. Let’s sleep."
They dimd the lights to a comfortable level for sleeping and lay down. Lin Xi naturally snuggled into his side, using his arm as a pillow. It was her favorite sleeping position.
However, a certain Xiao Naimao seed a bit restless tonight.
"Behave. Ti to sleep!"

"Stop ssing around."
"I just want to see."
"See what?"
