Annabelle Linton’s eyes held no warmth, as cold as a biting winter wind.

Nathaniel Locke and Xylas Shepherd were both Leona Grant’s best friends, having grown up together.
Hearing that Leona Grant was allowing soone to be disfigured for his sister-in-law, they had all run over to watch the show.

Hearing the commotion, Annabelle Linton calmly raised her eyes.

The man was dressed in a black suit, with fluffy, wild chestnut hair. His lips were pressed into a thin line, and his face held an air of jaded understanding.
Yet, this nonchalant deanor held an inexplicably wicked charm.
His eyes were especially deep, like those of a malevolent spirit erging from a dark, ancient castle. One look was enough to make you feel like you were being pulled into a vortex.

Annabelle Linton chuckled softly and pulled over a chair to sit down.
She elegantly crossed her legs, picked up a glass of red wine from the table and swirled it, her indifferent eyes remaining perfectly composed.
The corner of her mouth curved into a sarcastic arc as she looked down on the two people on the floor. "Excellent. Still acting tough when you’re at death’s door. I admire that!"
"You want to plead for her?" Annabelle Linton looked calmly at Vivian Yates, the corners of her lips turning up. "Weren’t you going to beg ? Fine. Beg , and I’ll let her go. Go on."
Vivian Yates looked at Annabelle Linton, humiliated and shocked, the disappointnt on her face deepening. "Annabelle, I never thought you were this kind of person.
This is between us, so let’s settle it ourselves. If you have a problem, direct it at . Why drag other people into it? Since when did you beco so heartless?"

Annabelle Linton fiercely smashed the glass in her hand onto the ground, where it instantly shattered into pieces.
She glared coldly at Vivian Yates, her expression steeped in frost. "Between us? Who the hell do you think you are that I’d bother getting revenge on you, let alone stoop to taking it out on trash like her, hmm?
