A pair of bold, dark brows arched over his sharp, narrow eyes, giving him a commanding presence. His lips were pressed into a thin line, and his entire face radiated a cold indifference.
’He radiated a dazzling light wherever he went, not losing out in the slightest even when compared to Leona Grant. That alone was a testant to how handso he was!’
Seeing his icy expression and the undisguised worry in his eyes, Faye Sheffield felt a sharp sting in her heart, so painful she could hardly breathe.
’Then again, when had he ever smiled at anyone other than Annabelle Linton?’
Jealousy twisted her voice. "Aaron Wyatt, I never realized you were so devoted. Charging in here all alone, through a hail of bullets and a sea of flas... Your love for that bitch truly runs as deep as the ocean!"
"I don’t have ti for your nonsense. Hand over Annabelle!" Aaron Wyatt roared, looking at her disgusting face.
"Hah! Hand her over? Impossible!"
Seeing his disgust for her and his anxiety for Annabelle Linton, Faye Sheffield burst into tears. "Aaron Wyatt, why won’t you even spare a single glance?
For you, I went to study in Albion! For you, I lived in constant fear every single day! I devoted my entire youth to you! Why do you treat this way? How am I any worse than Annabelle Linton? Why do you keep ignoring for that bitch?"
Aaron Wyatt stared at her, speechless. "Do I even know you?"
Faye Sheffield: "..."
Her defenses crumbled in an instant. Resentnt and bitterness surged through her.
"It doesn’t matter." Faye Sheffield gave a sad smile, her composure returning. "I’ll give you a chance. Marry , stay far away from Annabelle Linton, and I’ll let her go."
As she finished speaking, she imdiately felt the gazes of Wendy King and Charles King upon her.
She ignored them.
’Even though she knew the answer, she still wanted to hear the words from his own mouth. It would be a form of closure for her five wasted years.’
Aaron Wyatt looked at her as if she were a joke. "There’s a saying that really fits: the uglier the person, the more drama they create. Marry you? You might as well just shoot ."
"Ugly?" A vicious glint flashed in Faye Sheffield’s eyes. "Do you have any idea who did this to my face? It was Annabelle Linton! Surprised? The woman you see as so innocent and pure has the heart of a viper."
Aaron Wyatt scoffed. "The fact she didn’t kill you just proves Annabelle was being rciful."
Faye Sheffield burst out laughing, tears streaming down her face. "Aaron Wyatt, you’re really one of a kind!"
"But what do you have to be so smug about? In my eyes, you’re just a pathetic creature, sa as ! Foolishly protecting another man’s woman... did you really think that would make her love you?
Let tell you, she has a husband! She has for two years! And here you are, willingly playing the role of her backup plan, and you even seem to enjoy it!"
A chill entered Aaron Wyatt’s eyes. "What did you say?"
"Haha!" Seeing the heartbreak on his face, a wave of cruel delight washed over her. "Looks like you were kept in the dark. She has a husband, and has for a long ti! She married that golden boy, Leona Grant. She’s the Young Madam of the Grant Family, living a grand life. So much better than a powerless orphan like you!"
Aaron Wyatt froze.
Faye Sheffield cackled. "But you’ve lost your chance now. And you’ve lost , too. I gave you an opportunity, and you didn’t take it.
But... that bitch played you. Don’t you hate her for it? For the sake of the feelings I once had for you, allow to give you a gift."
With that, Faye Sheffield gave a signal with her eyes, and the bodyguards on either side of him forced Aaron Wyatt forward.
Faye Sheffield watched Aaron Wyatt, a cold, sinister smile on her face.
’If I can’t have sothing, I’ll destroy it so that no one else can either.’
’You love Annabelle Linton, don’t you? Fine! Then I’ll destroy her!’
