"From now on, have soone else organize your study. This is the last ti I’m finding anything for you." Annabelle frowned and went to his study.
Leona Grant processed her every word, a triumphant glint flashing in his eyes.
Annabelle was wearing a short nightdress. As the wind blew in through the window, the hem of her skirt fluttered, adding a touch of allure.
Leona Grant’s eyes darkened. He suddenly felt parched.
Annabelle couldn’t rember where the folder was, so she had no choice but to search through the cabinets and desk one by one.
The mont she bent over, her cleavage was reflected in the full-length mirror, giving Leona Grant an eyeful.
Leona Grant felt a sudden rush of heat surge through him.
An irrepressible impulse stirred within him.
Annabelle, oblivious, continued her search.
But the mont she turned, she bumped right into a solid chest.
She looked up warily, her gaze eting his bewitching, liquid eyes.
Leona Grant frowned when he saw the defensive look on her face.
’Why is she so guarded around ?’
’Or rather, what did I do to make her this wary?’
Annabelle recoiled from his proximity, her lips tightening as she instinctively took a step back.
Leona Grant lunged forward, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her into his embrace.
He held Annabelle so tightly she couldn’t even move.
"Let go!" Annabelle said icily.
But instead of letting go, Leona Grant held her even tighter.
Annabelle had no idea what he was trying to do.
In her mory, Leona Grant avoided her like the plague. He’d never so much as initiated a conversation with her, let alone held her like this.
His abnormal behavior sent a wave of panic through her.
Annabelle’s eyes flickered, her lashes trembling slightly.
She continued to struggle, but her feeble movents, far from being a threat, only served to increase the contact between their bodies.
A jolt of electricity shot up his spine. Heat flooded from his chest to his abdon, spreading through his veins to every corner of his body.
A kaleidoscopic haze clouded Leona Grant’s eyes. He stared at her trembling lashes, then slowly, his gaze drifted down to her lips.
A wicked smile played on his lips as he leaned in.
"Mmph—!" Annabelle’s eyes flew wide open, and she began to struggle desperately.
Leona Grant easily subdued her struggles, lifted her into his arms, and strode toward the desk.
With a sweep of his arm, he cleared the computer and files from the desk. He gently set Annabelle down, his mouth never leaving hers.
He pinned her legs with his own and used one hand to trap both of hers, rendering her immobile.
The dangerous proximity, the humiliating position—a wave of inexplicable sha washed over her, and Annabelle’s struggles grew more frantic.
