Leona Grant’s thin lips pressed into a straight line, his deep eyes gazing at her with a complex expression.
Annabelle Linton acted as if she hadn’t seen him, turning to walk away.
On impulse, Leona Grant suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Annabelle Linton froze for a mont, forced to a halt. She turned, her expression blank as she looked at him with a "What do you think you’re doing?" look.
Leona Grant t her displeased gaze and only then realized what he had done, feeling a little awkward.
’He hadn’t really thought it through. He just saw her about to leave and, in a panic, reached out and grabbed her.’
Her wrist was so slender he could encircle it with one hand.
Feeling this mont of having her in his grasp, he found he couldn’t bear to let go. He subconsciously tightened his grip.
Annabelle Linton was very unhappy, but seeing so many curious gazes from the people around them, she didn’t want to cause a scene in public.
She twisted her wrist but couldn’t break free.
Her brows furrowed, and she lowered her voice, her expression turning sour. "Let go!"
Feeling the slight warmth in his hand, Leona Grant’s eyes darkened slightly.
Then, throwing caution to the wind, he simply took her hand properly and started pulling her outside.
All sorts of gazes from the crowd swept toward them in unison.
Annabelle Linton, of course, wasn’t about to make a fool of herself in front of so many people, but she didn’t want to go with him either.
But Leona Grant gave her no chance to speak or ti to react, simply pulling her away.
"Leona Grant, let go of !"
Annabelle Linton was forced into a jog as he pulled her along, her high heels making a pleasant yet urgent tapping on the ground.
Leona Grant ignored her and led her to a deserted spot, where he pinned her against the wall and started pulling at her clothes.
Annabelle Linton’s eyes flew wide in shock. ’What is this psycho doing?’
’She had a boyfriend!’
Without a second thought, she slapped him across the face, shoved him away, and quickly straightened her clothes. "Are you sick in the head? Get lost!"
Leona Grant stared blankly as she frantically straightened the clothes on her chest, and it dawned on him what he had just done.
He gave a light cough, his face a mixture of awkwardness and embarrassnt. "Um, I just wanted to check on your injury."
"..." ’Is this how you check on an injury?’
"What the hell does my injury have to do with you? Getting all handsy—are we that close?!" Annabelle Linton was about to explode with anger, roaring at him in agitation.
’This fucking idiot! The first thing he does is try to rip my clothes off!’
’If soone else wanted to see her injury, would they have to pull her clothes off like that too?’
Seeing her so animated, Leona Grant surprisingly didn’t get angry. He explained good-naturedly, "...You were injured because of . I feel responsible for checking on it."
"Not necessary!"
Annabelle Linton finished straightening her clothes and walked back toward the main hall without a backward glance, so speechless with frustration she didn’t know what to think.
Leona Grant watched her fuming figure retreat, a flicker of gloom passing through his eyes.
’If he hadn’t just taken the initiative, she wouldn’t have even been willing to speak to him.’

Vivian Yates and Mrs. Yates stood behind a large tree, so distance away from Leona Grant.
"Vivian, didn’t those two get a divorce? What was all that just now?"
Mrs. Yates said resentfully, her eyes filled with contempt as she watched Annabelle Linton’s disappearing figure.
She felt that Annabelle Linton had been trying to seduce Leona Grant just now.
A sharp glint flashed in Vivian Yates’s eyes as she said in a low voice, "I don’t know. But they are definitely divorced."
"Then should we do sothing tonight? That little slut is a master of seduction. I think it’s very likely they’ll remarry before long. If that happens, we’ll lose our chance!"
