But a bitter feeling churned in his heart.
His health had been bought at the cost of Annabelle Linton’s two-month coma, yet he had never once thanked her. Instead, he had avoided her like the plague, insulting and hurting her, whether intentionally or not.
She had given him all of that incredibly rare blood. She must have nearly died in the hospital.
No wonder she was in a coma for two months...

In a white crystal vase, a bouquet of multicolored tulips only served to make Annabelle Linton’s face look even paler.
Annabelle Linton woke up three days later.
Perhaps due to so underlying fortitude, it was a miracle she hadn’t died or been permanently disabled after her fall. Still, she had suffered nurous injuries all over her body, the most prominent being a large wound on her forehead wrapped in layer after layer of bandages.
Every part of her body was scraped, and a sharp pain shot through her with every movent.
Annabelle Linton slowly opened her eyes, her mory stopping at the mont she fell down the stairs.
The mont Leona Grant pushed her...
At this thought, a cold glint flashed in Annabelle Linton’s eyes.
She swung her legs over the side of the bed and deftly pulled the IV needle from her arm. "Where’s Grandpa?" she asked the maid busying herself nearby, her voice detached.
The maid, who was arranging flowers, jumped at the sudden sound.
Seeing Annabelle Linton awake, she broke into a delighted smile. "Young Madam, you’re finally awake! Ah, why are you out of bed? You’re still on an IV! You can’t be moving around, I’ll call the doctor right away!"
"Don’t. Just tell where Grandpa is."
Annabelle Linton painstakingly raised a hand to stop the maid from calling the doctor, then rummaged through the bag the maid had brought, pulling out a clean set of clothes to change into.
"You’ve been in a coma for three days. The Old Master and Madam have been coming to see you every day. They were just here this morning. And the Young Master..."
’Three days...’ she thought. ’That ans there are only about ten days left until the Linton Group acquisition.’
"I see. We’re checking out," Annabelle Linton said coolly, then walked into the bathroom, her expression blank.
’Who checks out of the hospital the mont they wake up...?’
The maid tried to reason with her. "Young Madam, you’re very weak right now. The doctor said you need to rest for at least a week before you can be discharged. The Young Master told to take good care of you. If anything happens to you, I’ll be in big trouble..."
"I said we’re checking out. Didn’t you hear ?" Annabelle Linton snapped.
She had intended to speak calmly, but the ntion of Leona Grant robbed her of all patience.
The maid flinched at the BANG of the closing door.
’Everyone said the Young Madam has changed,’ the maid thought. ’It’s really true.’
"Well... Young Madam, can I at least inform the Young Master?" the maid’s timid voice ca from outside the door.
"Do whatever you want!"

Leona Grant was in a eting when he got the call from the maid.
Normally, he would never take calls during a eting.
But he knew this call was from the maid taking care of Annabelle Linton.
