Leona Grant’s eyes turned cold, and he tightened his grip—
Annabelle Linton closed her eyes, facing death without a struggle.
Watching her calm expression, Leona Grant suddenly lost interest.
’He had only wanted to scare her, to make her beg him.’
’But seeing her so fearless, he felt there was no point. Still, he felt a surge of irritation!’
Leona Grant loosened his grip and lowered his head.
Annabelle Linton never expected him to pull such a move. Her eyes flew wide in shock!
Leona Grant gazed at Annabelle Linton’s wide eyes. They were like a clear pool of water, tempting him to stir the surface, and held a lively, cute, and endearingly dazed quality.

When Annabelle Linton ca to her senses, she began to struggle desperately.
The more she resisted, the less Leona Grant wanted to let her go.
Starved of oxygen, Annabelle Linton showed signs of fainting.
Leona Grant frowned as he watched her strength gradually failing.
’This foolish woman... She was so full of vigor when she talked back to him, but she doesn’t even know how to co up for air.’
’Then again,’ he thought, ’if she were skilled, wouldn’t that an she’s kissed many n before?’
The first person Leona Grant thought of was Aaron Wyatt.
At the thought of him, Leona Grant’s eyes darkened. He bit Annabelle Linton’s lip sharply before finally releasing her.
As soon as she was free, Annabelle Linton greedily gulped in fresh air as if liberated. Then, by reflex, she swung a slap toward his face.
As if he had expected it all along, Leona Grant leaned back slightly, successfully dodging her slap.
Having missed, Annabelle Linton trembled with rage. She panted unevenly, glaring daggers at him.
Leona Grant found her flushed face increasingly amusing.
’How could such an adorable woman exist in this world?’

The corners of Leona Grant’s mouth curved into a handso smile, and he let out a hearty laugh.
Watching his unrestrained laughter, Annabelle Linton grew even more furious, but she kept her composure. "Pathetic, just as I thought. You don’t even have the guts to kill a woman. Didn’t you boast about being powerful enough to blot out the sky? Turns out you were just bluffing. I could give you ten tis the nerve, and you still wouldn’t dare lay a finger on ."
Hearing Annabelle Linton’s arrogant tone, Leona Grant couldn’t help but laugh.
’If he wanted soone dead, they wouldn’t live to see the sunrise.’

’Surprisingly, though, he wasn’t angry.’
Leona Grant reached out, caressing her smooth, delicate cheek. He said with a roguish smile, "A wife as breathtakingly beautiful as you... I truly couldn’t bring myself to kill you."
Repulsed by his touch, Annabelle Linton was about to slap his hand away when a sharp glint suddenly flashed in her eyes.
