Forsaken Star was totally helpless as she was being sucked into Raith’s body.

Her entire form entered the darkness that shimred on his appearance.

A second later, the chains that shot out from the crawling darkness shattered; however, the thing about them was...

Even though they had shattered, they were still hanging loose around the soul plane.

This was a reflection of the chains that now bound the primordial.

Several blue stars began to shimr in front of Raith, slowly coming together like speckles of dust and mapping out a human figure.

After a short while, Forsaken Star materialized back into existence; however, there were shackles with broken chains on all her four limbs.

Raith looked at her, his eyes still stunned.

’What the hell just happened now?’

To answer the question, Sage began, prompting him to look down.

[Your body is a vessel created to house the consciousness and powers of a primordial]

[You have absorbed the consciousness and powers of the primordial Forsaken Star]

[However, she was able to break her consciousness free from you, in exchange for leaving her powers]

[The Forsaken Star is bound to you and cannot leave you by a certain distance]

[Due to the presence of a primordial in your soul again, so residuals of the abyss are gathering together]

[The vast sea of darkness in you is consuming the remnants of the abyss]

[Dark Bourne is blooming]

[Art: Dark Bourne has created its own sub arts]

[Art of Revival has been created]

[Death Summoning has been created]

[Death Absorption has been created]

Raith’s eyes glead; sothing strong suddenly resonated in his soul.

Sothing he could recognize without having to check twice.

He touched his chest, eyes widening and a grin slowly spreading on his lips as his hands scurried over his chest to confirm fully.

He finally stopped and raised his head, closed his eyes, and sighed greatly.

"It’s back," he muttered.

Forsaken Star stared at him from a distance, unsure what was happening to him.

’Is he grinning because of my power? Did he plan this?’

At the sa ti, she shook her head slightly. She felt like she was giving Raith too much credit than he deserved.

He probably didn’t even know that his body was capable of doing sothing like this.

She was the one that had misstepped. She should have been able to see this coming, but because she underestimated Raith, she had missed it.

And it annoyed her seriously. She looked at the chains on her wrist, her frown growing deeper.

Raith, by the way, hugged himself, growing increasingly happy.

"It’s back! Yes! It’s back!!"

As he jubilated, his hair color slowly reverted to black, returning him to his usual appearance; however, his body was still pale, almost white like a cold corpse.

His black and red heterochromatic eyes against the drop of his—now—black hair created a deserving dark beauty.

It was better suited than when his hair was white due to force.

’As expected, darkness fits better,’ Raith smiled heartily, looking at his appearance in the reflection of the water ground below.

All this was able to happen because of the primordial. It seed that sohow, being in contact with the primordial again had tapped into the residual powers he had while the abyss was in his soul.

A primordial’s presence had helped realize that, and Dark Bourne had absorbed all that residual and now, it had beco an art not under his energy Art but a canopy of itself.

Raith was very happy with this result. And thanks to this canopy.

He had gained back three core arts which were skills before. The power of death.

He could now revive again.

He could now absorb the dead and create soldiers. And he could summon them now.

Although Raith did not think that he would gain any stats or anything by dying, he had just beco immortal.

He looked down to confirm his suspicions.

Art of Revival: [Each death will be more excruciatingly painful than usual; the ratio of pain will be converted into energy of revival]

’Oh... that’s quite tricky.’

Raith’s interpretation was that the more painful the death is, the more potent the revival? Or it could be talking about how he would revive.

Maybe he would revive with full health, or just how he was monts before he died. But all that depended on how the pain was.

’It seems like sothing is just forcefully trying to turn into a masochist or sothing.’

Raith averted his eyes and continued to inspect.

Death Absorption: [You can absorb the soul of the dead, manifesting them into an army of the dead bounded to and by Dark Bourne]

Death Summoning: [You can summon these armies of the dead to reality to do your will]

He was right! It had indeed co back. Although he still couldn’t feel his forr soldiers, now that the power was back, it was only a matter of ti.

Raith was sure he would be united with them again, soon.

Having done all that he wanted to do, Raith raised his head to Forsaken Star.

"I’m sorry for what happened. I didn’t expect this to happen."

"I know you didn’t. There’s no way a dumb mortal like you would be able to trick ." She paused for a mont, taking a look at the hanging chains and the darkness that seed more alive than before.

"It seems you have grown stronger thanks to this."

Raith smiled, suppressing it from growing any wider or showing how truly joyous he was.

He said with a slight gesture, "It’s all thanks to you. You don’t have to worry about anything now. I will eradicate all your foes without complaining."

"Of course you will. The contract said so."

"I’m just saying, even if the contract didn’t say so, I would be willing." He smiled, closing his eyes and appreciating how the wind suddenly felt better than it had in years.

It was like all his lost confidence was coming back to him.

Fighting knowing that you have the power to rise from the dead really hits different.

Raith opened his eyes, staring directly into the lady’s, although her eyes were shadowed by her hat.

"So, are you ready to get this party started?"

Forsaken Star paid no heed to the elated look on his face. But Raith had his answers anyway.

And the entire scape twisted.

The familiar darkness ca back, the tough, darkened ground.

Within the ti that he had been gone with the primordial, it seed Theta and Nata had been put in a position where they had to fend off the three intruders by themselves.

And sincerely speaking, they were doing well.

Afar from Raith and the primordial, the two of them backed each other and were painstakingly warding away the attacks of the three dark-robed n.

Theta had great maneuverability over the air, so her movent was not limited. Her transparent wings flapped and carried her out of their midst, landing afar.

But instantaneously, one of the intruders shot towards her, wielding two swords that closed in from opposite directions, almost crossing against Theta who had not enough spatial awareness and wasn’t expecting the intruder to catch up that fast.

However, as the blades crossed in, the distance instantly warped.

The intruder suddenly halted his attack and jumped back quickly.

Where Theta had been standing, a black-haired dude with red and black eyes, glaring at him, was standing there.

Theta was now beside the primordial, shocked that sohow she was alive.

She looked to her right where the intruder was, and a few ters away from there Nata was still defending herself against two of them.

Although her movents were getting slower, each parry made her muscles tremble.

However, she still couldn’t resist the joy when she saw Raith shift the distance smaller and instantly exchange Theta’s location for his.

"Master!!!" she scread.

The scream was what allowed her to realize it was Raith. Aside from his hair, his presence felt slightly different from what she was used to perceiving.

Raith opened his hand, materializing a liquid blood that stread and ford a long sword. As the sword hardened to beco tallic, its color transitioned from red to lustrous black.

Then Raith swung down in a heavy slash. The ground parted, sending stone shards flying into the air.

’Did the ground just get sliced just by the swing of his sword?’

Confusion flooded the intruder’s mind; he wasn’t sure what was going on, but he could feel the pores on his skin rise.

’This can’t be good. This guy is very dangerous.’

He was still in thought when he suddenly felt his view turn upside down.

’Huh?’ That was the last echo of thoughts before any realization could set in—his head bounced on the ground.

"How weak do you have to be not to realize I sliced your head when I swung down?" Raith clicked his tongue in irritation as the intruder’s headless body collapsed.
