Beatrice had a special thod to track down soone who had killed her family mbers. And using that technique, she was able to track down the Infernal Fiend without any problem. But while being on the run from Elena, the Fiend had tead up with two other boss level enemies. Even for Elena, defeating all three of them alone was extrely hard.
Not only that but this Infernal Fiend had marked all the people of the city where Elena currently was with his mark. So if anyone from his sa power level was not inside the city to cancel the mark's effect then this Infernal Fiend would be able to kill off all the people in no ti. So Elena was forced to stay inside the city until she could dispell the mark from all the citizens.
Beatrice was not the only strong person living in that city. A few adventurers and explorers were also there to fight against the calamity. They all were also working together with Elena to take care of this Infernal Fiend. So with their help, Elena managed to find a lot of information about the powerhouses who had co to support the Infernal Fiend.
The first one was a betrayer of this world. At past he was a spare prince of a prosperous nation and when the calamity descended, he ended up sacrificing his whole family to it in order to gain unmatched power. Later on with his new found strength and insane innate fighting talents, he had beco one of the most hated enemies for the people of this world.
And the second one was an ancient being from the sa world where The Destroyer was born. This being was insanely powerful with its capabilities to see the fate lines of this world. Since the dawn of ti of that world, this being was trying to control the fate of that world to beco a transcendental being. He had been scheming for who knows how many millions of years.
But with the birth of the Destroyer, all its plans ca to an end. As the destroyer was immune to the effect of the fate, this being had no way to do anything to it and it just watched in horror as the most prized thing that he wanted for so long was so easily destroyed by this being. At the sa ti, this being felt a lot of respect for the destroyer and decided to beco its followers.

So both of these beings were extrely powerful and had their own agendas. The only reason why they were working together was because they had sothing to gain from this cooperation. From all the information that she was given, Elena was able to deduce what these two wanted.
Elena had two special items that were extrely suitable for these two. Most likely all three of them were working together to get those items. In that case, it was not hard to create a fissure in their partnership. Elena planned to use those items as baits to separate those three and then she would take care of the Infernal Fiend when it was alone.
This plan was a good one and Elena's helpers executed this plan extrely well. They used those items to kill off monsters in a place away from the city. And soon the rumours about the existence of that item spread far and wide.
The first item was the legacy sword of the royal family of which the first enemy was a part of once. If that fallen prince could get his hands on this sword, then he would be able to beco even stronger than his current self. As for the second item, it was a piece of the Destroyer's real body. If the ancient scher could get his hands on this, he would be able to evolve and beco more powerful.
So by using these items as baits, Elena was taking a huge risk. If these items strengthened those two bosses too much then Elena would just create harder problems for her own self. But Elena was confident that she would be able to take care of these two even if they were strengthened with these items. It was nkh just blind confidence as Elena had played so tricks with the items in question.
So in this way, Elena tried to create a rift between these two bosses. And she did that in the exact mont when they were trying to lure Elena out by attacking the city.
Beatrice told Elena about the location of the city Infernal Fiend and the other adventurers were keeping an eye on the other two. Soon the day of the plan ca and Elena left the city for a very short ti to take care of these bosses. With her strength these bosses alone were not a match against her and were killed without any problem.
But there was still a problem. The Infernal Fiend that she ended up defeating and killing was actually a fake. With her special technique, Beatrice should not be deceived by the Infernal Fiend so Elena was very surprised by this.
While Elena was thinking about this problem, one of the adventurers who was helping her inford her that as soon as Elena had left the city, Beatrice had done the sa. He also inford Elena of the probable location where Beatrice would have gone.
Elena imdiately had a bad feeling and she chased after Beatrice in a hurry. With her sensing skills and the information given by that adventurer, it did not take her too long to find Beatrice, who was currently fighting the real Infernal Fiend.
At that mont Elena was still a little bit away from the location where Beatrice was fighting this Fiend. Elena shouted for Beatrice to stop and for them to work together. But then Elena noticed that Beatrice was already unconscious and the moves that she was performing was all just her muscle mory.
After seeing her whole family getting wiped out before her eyes, Beatrice had practiced like a madman. She had mastered her family technique to such a degree that without a doubt she had even surpassed the person who was the creator of this technique. So even when she was unconscious, Beatrice was still able to fight in her best form.
Elena started to teleport toward the location where this fight was taking place with all her might. But with this battle of very high scale. Elena was unable to teleport too far. So while trying her best to reach Beatrice as fast as she could, Elena could only watch helplessly the last dance of her friend. A dance so beautiful that it even made even the ti to pause.
But as everything ca to an end, this dance was also the sa. Even before Elena was here, Beatrice's whole body was already engulfed in black Infernal Flas. With Beatrice performing the last strike of her beautiful dance, "Fall From Grace", the heart of the Infernal Fiend was cut in two halves.
At the sa ti the fiend was killed, Elena finally reached the battle location. Beatrice had already co back to her senses and noticed Elena. So she gave Elena a happy and contented sli from the very bottom of her heart. It was the very first ti when Elena had seen soone as cold as Beatrice smiling so naturally. And imdiately after that, black flas consud everything and only a little bit of her ashes alongside a worn out sword remained in the area where Beatrice was just a few monts ago.
Tears threatened to fall from Elena's eyes but she forcefully held them back. She knew that this stubborn friend of hers would not want a tearful goodbye. So Elena put her hands in front of her chest in the pose of a special salute given to a close friend after witnessing their heroic deeds. Beatrice was the one who had taught Elena this salute and that was exactly what she used to send her friend off.

In the current ti, after stopping her dance, Elena took out a small tube inside which a little bit of a grey substance could be seen. Elena held that tube close to her heart and a small teardrop fell from her eyes.
