On the stage built in front of the temporary temple, Duke Karl Moronto appeared while surrounded by his S rank subordinates. The Closing Ceremony had the purpose to reassure all the citizens that their prosperous days would be continuing in the future. So showcasing the strength of the city once again was very important.
The closing ceremony started with a speech by the Duke. What he said was standard stuff about doing his best to protect his citizens and about becoming even stronger in the future. The people did not really care about it that much, as Duke Karl Moronto had been ruling over them for quite so ti and even without this ceremony, after so many years, the citizen already imnsely trusted his ability as their ruler.
Next, a famous dancer from the city ca to perform on the stage. Actually Karl had already requested Elena to perform in the closing ceremony. But Elena had rejected this request because she felt that as this ceremony was primarily for the people living in this city, so an outsider like her should not take the stage.
But she did advise the people who were going to perform. All of them were talented perforrs so Elena did not need to teach them too much and they were able to grasp what Elena was saying rather quickly. Elena was looking forward to seeing how they were going to perform.
The dance that the dancer perford was the special style of dance that Elena had created just a few days ago. Her talent was truly exceptional as she was not only able to learn this style in such a short ti, she even managed to have so individuality in that dance style.
The people were obviously extrely impressed by her dance. Elena was also satisfied with her performance and decided to give her a little reward later on. Next, a singer ca to perform and sang a traditional song describing a historical event. The audience also enjoyed that and requested an encore. So he ended up singing four more songs.

Next, two S rankers took the stage. They were not going to seriously fight and instead were going to show off a few moves to entertain the citizens.

After this finally it was ti for the main event of the closing ceremony to begin. Duke Moronto once again ca to the stage. In his hand he was holding a black scepter decorated with gems of various colours. He held the scepter up and announced in a loud voice -
"Now we are going to recast the city protecting barrier. This barrier had saved us from various threats for thousands of years and I'm hoping that it will continue doing so for many more years to co."
After this declaration, the scepter started to shine with a majestic black and red light. Soon a beam of light went to the sky and illuminated the whole city. All the soldiers who had already taken their designated position took out a black gem and held it close to their heart.
Those gems also started glowing and in no ti the shape of a formation beca clear to anyone watching over the city from the sky. This was a special city protecting formation that could strengthen the barrier of the city. A little bit of magic energy was also extracted from all the citizens. This was a miniscule amount that would not affect their regular life at all.
With that all the preparations for the barrier were completed. Imdiately, the city protecting barrier that generally remained invisible appeared before everyone's eyes. Then a new stream of energy was added to the barrier. This new energy started to replace the old barrier with a new more robust one. Even with proper maintenance, the strength of the previous barrier had seen a slight decline after a whole year. But this new barrier solved that flaw imdiately.
Seeing the whole city getting covered in the new barrier, all the citizens felt safe. This barrier was extrely powerful and was able to withstand attacks for even S rank powerhouses. So this barrier was definitely the best form of protection that the citizens could get.
With that, the ceremony ca to an end. Imdiately afterwards, the temporary temple broke down and turned into crimson shards. Then all those pieces disappeared into thin air. At the sa ti a divine presence appeared above the city, blessing everyone. This indicated the true end of the festival. Just like that, the week-long Blessed Night Festival ended.

Even after the festival's end, Elena stayed in the city of Moronto for a few more days. She had the practice match with Kaya which helped her in solidifying her own S rank sword art. With her years of accumulation, as soon as she t this criteria to reach the S ranks, Kaya was imdiately promoted to one. She was extrely happy about it as this was her lifelong dream. She could not find any words to thank Elena for all the help she had provided.
Alisia and Grace would again be back to the marquis to continue their training to beco the future heir of the family. Alisia obviously had many opponents but as a confident girl, she was going to do her best to be successful. Grace would also help and support Alisia every way possible.
Leshia had managed to create a partnership with the Dancing Moon Spirit which would expand her red light business a lot. With her excellent subordinates, the pressure on her would not increase by too much but still she would get busier with work.
Pachante had already t with Colbera. For the last few days, Colbera was busy with modifying the black gems that the soldiers were holding in order to strengthen their effect. And now that he had managed to successfully complete his job, he was finally able to et Pachante. For the next year or two, Pachante was going to be learning under him.
Shiya was going to continue acting as an adventurer and following Elena's advice, at the sa ti as improving her summoning skills, she was also going to focus on making her own self stronger. Shiya herself had high talent for various other kinds of magic and Elena had advised her to put so focus on it.
As for Turin, he had decided to return back to Elysium to continue with his training. He now wanted to take on his human form as soon as possible and then he was going to co back and propose to Anna. With that determination, Turin was ready to once again throw himself into endless training.
