Even though Zarco was startled by the sudden appearance of three extrely powerful adversaries, he managed to calm down almost imdiately. After spending over a hundred years in a hellish place like the Ocean of Bones, he stopped being surprised by surprise attacks.
As soon as the others made their move, Zarco also made his. He took out three types of potions with three different colours and broke the bottle to mix them together. Then he used his very precise magic control to pour a certain amount of mana in the mixture and fused all three of the liquids together.
Imdiately after that, the mixture turned pitch black and started to beco larger in size. In almost no ti, the whole mixture turned into a massive sli that protected Zarco behind itself.
The sli was quite powerful and managed to stall the four attacking demigods for a few seconds. When the Ape, Knight, Bird and Spirit were done tearing the sli to shreds, Zarco was already ready with his next move.
He took our a small knife and created a small wound on his arm. Then he inserted a small core into that wound and imdiately one of his hands beca super big. It had deep red veins which were clearly visible from outside and the pattern of an inverted tower was also drawn on this arm.
With his big arm, Zarco imdiately punched the half Demon and half Ape man and started to fight him. While the sli regenerated again and started to fight the knight. As for the two summons that Kizuna had called, Zarco had sent 10 of this puppets to take care of them.
Each of the puppets were weaker than the bird and the spirit but together, they were actually able to dominate the battle. If Kizuna did not do anything, her two summons would definitely be destroyed very soon.
Just like this, not only Zarco managed to defend himself against the attack of three demigod rank powerhouses, he even managed to be in an advantageous position in so cases. That was truly impressive.
But Kizuna was also not an easy opponent. Just summoning two weak demigods was not the limit of her capabilities. While Zarco was making his moves, she was also preparing one of her own. Actually not just one but many.
The first move she used was called "Blessing of Thunderous Strength". This was a skill that she could use through her domain. With the activation of this skill, all the people who were considered to be allies by Kizuna and were inside her domain would enjoy a big boost to their STR stat. After casting domain wide buff, Kizuna also used a skill called "Curse of Static Weakening" which was a speed debuff for the enemy. Imdiately Zarco and his alchemical creature started to feel weak and their AGI decreased.
These two spells alone was enough to reverse the turn of the battle, but Kizuna had one last card ready to ensure her victory. And that was a magic item called the "Bell of Serenity".
Normally Bell of Serenity was actually a magic item that helped people to calm their mind when they were studying sothing difficult. It was not a magic item that could be used for attacking soone.
But Kizuna had modified this item herself and now by pouring her super powerful and illusion inducing ntal energy in the bell, she could amplify the power of her psychic attacks so that it would be strong enough to bypass most resistances. And through this powerful bell, Kizuna used a spell that continuously corroded the Zarco's ntal defenses.
This attack was very sneaky. So while Zarco was busy fighting so many other Demigods and was also keeping an eye on the golden haired lady who looked to be extrely powerful but was not doing anything for the ti being, he failed to notice the corrosion until it had reached his final defenses. At that point, there was nothing that Zarco could do to stop the destruction of his mind defending barrier.
During this whole fight, Zarco was always trying to find a way to run away. He was not a mindless moron who believed that he could defeat three strong demigods on his own. So his aim had always been to find a way to escape.
But so far, with the numbers advantage at the opponent's side, he had not managed to make any attempts at escaping. Showing his back to them would put his life in a lot of danger and that was a risk Zarco was unwilling to take.
But now that his mind was about to get corroded by a powerful illusionist, he stopped thinking about anything else and tried to make his escape at any cost. If he could not escape from Kizuna's domain before his last ntal barrier is destroyed, he would definitely die.
Zarco imdiately started to throw a lot of potion bottles one after another. Two more large slis appeared and blocked the demigods. While trying to run away, Zarco got hit by a few long range attacks, but without trying to dodge them or trying to defend against them, Zarco just focused on making a successful escape.
With him throwing away a vast quantity of his potion collection and his mad rush, he actually managed to escape from Kizuna's domain. Outside the domain, he was able to use teleportation items and he imdiately used his most powerful one.
This item would imdiately teleport him to the headquarters of the Thunder Destroyer Guild and it also capable of disregarding most ordinary teleportation blocking and interference ans. So after using this item, Zarco was relieved and was sure that he had managed to make his escape successfully from this very dangerous situation.
But suddenly while Zarco was still in the spatial layer, he suddenly collided with a wall and ca out of the teleportation state. Looking back, to his despair, Zarco noticed that he had only moved a few kilotres away from the small island, which was nothing for a demigod rank powerhouse.
Extending his hands forward, Zarco noticed that there was an invisible barrier before him. It was so well hidden that he had not noticed it before colliding with it. The face of the beautiful golden haired lady imdiately ca to his mind and he was sure that lady was responsible for this powerful barrier.
In this mad dash of escape, Zarco had suffered from a lot of injuries. As an alchemist, he did not fear any of those wounds as he could heal them with not much effort, but it would take ti which he currently did not have.
Soon the demigods caught up to him and Zarco was sure that with his current condition, any one of them could easily kill him. So he decided to give up and surrender. If he was killed, he would accept that. If he was captured and tortured, he would accept that too. But currently in his terrible condition, he just wanted to rest.
He never liked fighting to begin with and would always prefer to hold himself inside his laboratory. But his fate always kept him away from what he really wanted to do. So in his last monts, he wanted to do what his heart desired, so he just forgot about everything and just closed his eyes to rest.
Just like this, this massive battle between the demigods ca to an end.
