Ren Zhong, who had interacted with many people in this world, arrogantly believed that with his intelligence, he did not need to live a life of licking blood from the edge of a blade like Zheng Tian and others, to gain substantial rewards and a comfortable life.

Then, with endless beautiful illusions and a heart surging with devout excitent akin to a pilgrim's, Ren Zhong opened the ultimate scientific knowledge teaching system.

The ocean of future knowledge!

My holy land!

Here I co!

...

At 6:06 the next morning, Ren Zhong opened his eyes a few minutes later than Zheng Tian.

Then he sat up straight with a swoosh.

His eyes were clear but confused.

The belief was shattered.

Ren Zhong recalled what he saw last night.

It was not an ocean at all, but a quagmire!

Every line of text was an insult to his intelligence!

Indeed, he saw basic textbooks for hundreds of courses, encompassing a vast array of knowledge, covering a large part of the foundational knowledge required for jobs he imagined in the division of a modern society.

The textbooks were well-made, with detailed content, including both profound text content and rich illustrations, as well as video tutorials that appeared at a thought.

However, in Ren Zhong's view, these textbooks were utterly devoid of value for reading.

He did not deny that there were many cutting-edge technologies he had never encountered before.

For example, the anti-gravity technology he had longed for.

As it turned out, the anti-gravity engineering course was broken down into as many as eighty-three major categories, each containing hundreds of different part models, ultimately only teaching which parts could be combined in what way to achieve what effect.

Beyond that, there was nothing.

The principles were not ntioned at all.

Ren Zhong also opened his own professional course, "Modern Chemical Engineering Principles."

Upon clicking inside.

It explained nurous chemical equations, and discussed under what conditions substances react and with what catalysts, yet it never ntioned why these reactions occurred.

In disbelief, Ren Zhong picked through dozens of textbooks, carefully examining everything from introductory to proficient sections.

Ultimately, he concluded that all these textbooks taught was basic knowledge without understanding the reasons behind, akin to a user manual for a new TV.

It wasn't that he looked down on the basics, but he realized that even if he studied to the end of these materials, he could at most beco a senior technician.

With his mory and comprehension abilities, as long as he had the ti, he could finish all these hundreds of tutorials, since it only required rote morization, without any need for logical thinking, let alone creativity.

This was to turn people into machines, to read until they beco tools through and through.

These hundreds of textbooks were nothing but relatively complex ho appliance foolproof manuals.

Ren Zhong could not accept this.

He would rather have a few subjects like those in 21st-century high school textbooks, such as language, math, science, chemistry, biology, politics, history, and geography.

Just let himself learn from scratch, study for a few years, and then take university entrance exams, it's fine.

High school textbooks, although simple, at least explained so principles.

Even if the planets differ, so basic physical laws in the universe must be common.

Math should be even more universally applicable.

What could reading these thorough tools books be for?

How can these things be used as universal education textbooks?

Do the people running education in this world have their brains caught in a door?

Has technological innovation in this world already disappeared?

Does humanity no longer need to progress?

There's no reason for it.

Never mind leaving the planet, mankind hasn't even completely eliminated the Ruined Beasts, our imdiate existential threats.

In Starfire Town, many people still struggle to secure basic living, and stepping outside the town poses life-threatening risks at any mont.

Whether scavengers or the Scavenger Team, innocent people die tragically every day.

Humanity is far from a point where it can afford stagnation!

Also, if the academic atmosphere is so dwindled, who invented such remarkable technological products as anti-gravity technology and wrist watch auxiliaries?

There must be scientists; soone must be engaged in research and developnt, right?

How can everyone be reading tool books?

In the current state of highly developed computation, these textbook contents should clearly be fully replaced by artificial intelligence!

With endless confusion, Ren Zhong directly asked Zheng Tian, who was walking over to chat, "Have any of you noticed anything wrong?"
