"You are busy during the day, and also at night?" Qian asked.

"But I’m not in the sa city as them, can’t there be another way?"

"There are other ways. You just shouldn’t care about this son of yours anymore. He’s just soone with mania, not at a severe level. Just let him be. If lucky, he’ll run around hyper like a kid on sugar. If unlucky, he could develop manic depression, have hallucinations, or beco overly sexually open and start stripping for everyone he ets—"

"Enough!" Mr. Liu’s face looked very unpleasant.

Yu Minglang seed thoughtful.

Given i’s personality, she wouldn’t diagnose so arbitrarily; it’s not her style.

So what caused i to take such action suddenly?

Yu Minglang speculated on Qian’s real intentions while asking Qian.

"i, what do you think should be done about this?"

"Having children ans you are responsible for raising them. It’s not just about feeding them enough to prevent starvation. The child isn’t mine, I’m just a doctor. I can’t control what thods you use, but I’m telling you, neglecting this child is disastrous. Think of a way—my job doesn’t require to be there every day, is Q City really that far from here?"

Qian said everything she needed to say and hung up the phone.

After hanging up, she let out a long breath. Whew, as a professional psychologist, this was her first ti scaring soone, and she’s not sure if Yu Xiaoqiang detected any flaws. Qian always felt that Xiaoqiang is an incredibly perceptive man who can see through many things.

Mr. Liu, being directly involved, was bewildered. Qian was talking about his child, and he got scared, so he wouldn’t have the energy to think about anything else.

After hanging up, Qian felt a bit guilty.

The teacher detests psychologists who scare patients. She spent a lot today just to help the teacher’s couple reunite.

When Liu Li called stamring that he might be sick, Qian understood imdiately.

This kid wants to make a fuss.

Qian wasn’t a rookie; she had years of clinical experience. She might not be able to tell right away if soone is sick, but she could make a rough judgnt. Liu Li was far from having mania, which ant he had only one reason for saying this.

And this reason was exactly what Qian hoped for, so she went along with it.

After taking Qian’s call, Mr. Liu remained silent.

Yu Minglang pondered for a few minutes, and he seed to have a realization.

Noticing Mr. Liu’s distressed look, Yu Minglang handed him a drink. Mr. Liu undid two buttons of his shirt and took a big gulp, but he still couldn’t shake the agitation in his heart.

The eldest son was already gone, and the second son was like this, no wonder Liu hated him. As a man, a father, and a husband, he might have served his country well, but not necessarily his family.

Yu Minglang spoke up.

"Actually, uncle, I’m not sure if I should say this."

"You, boy, since when do you speak so hesitantly? Forget it, don’t say it. You’re definitely not going to say anything good," Mr. Liu said listlessly.

It felt like Qian’s call nearly scared his soul away.

"Even if you don’t let say it, I’ll still say it, uncle. Shuang’s incident was a tragedy caused by uncontrollable forces, but there’s still room to negotiate with Liu. Analyzing from a philosophical perspective, if handled well, a bad situation can turn into sothing good. Why not use this incident as an opportunity?"

"My child is sick, what opportunity is there?"

"You and my aunt have been loving partners for so many years, it wasn’t without feelings. It was just Shuang’s situation that made you unhappy and led to separation. Now Liu is ’sick,’ why can’t this be a chance to reconcile and remarry? For the sake of the child, she’s unlikely to refuse."

"Remarry?!" Mr. Liu beca instantly invigorated, but recalling Mr. Liu’s formidable deanor made him feel discouraged. He slumped back down, saying, "She wouldn’t agree."

"You’ve been married for many years without major conflicts. If it weren’t for Shuang’s passing, you would still be the best couple. Now, if we handle Liu’s illness well, we can indeed turn this bad thing into a good one. Aunt wouldn’t refuse for the child’s sake."

Kids are always a weak spot for parents. Yu Minglang and Qian could see this old couple had no fundantal conflicts but couldn’t let go of the child’s passing, leading to a sad divorce. They divorced not just to avoid seeing each other and thinking of the deceased eldest.

Mr. Liu was truly heartbroken, and his words were particularly harsh. Mr. Liu felt guilty and couldn’t express it, only agreeing to the divorce. Now, this opportunity might allow them to reunite, face challenges together, and soothe their guilt-ridden hearts. At least, they wouldn’t be sad and bla themselves like before.

Yu Minglang’s words lit a light in Mr. Liu’s heart. He stood up, anxiously pacing around the room.

At his age, love is no longer adequate to describe the feelings they held for each other. It transcended love and turned into familial affection after half a lifeti together, having two children together, and walking this long road together. How could such feelings be easily put aside?

Yet thinking about Mr. Liu’s temper... Mr. Liu was very interested in Yu Minglang’s suggestion but feared provoking Mr. Liu’s heart condition.

"For the children, everything is for the children! Uncle, say the word. If you really want it, aunt, Qian and I will handle it for you, okay?"

"Don’t provoke your aunt; she’s not in great health. As for ... it doesn’t really matter."

Yu Minglang thought to himself, this leader just keeps pretending. It would be absurd to believe he’s indifferent!

But outwardly, he displayed a cooperative deanor, "Right, right, everything for the kids, right?"

Given the right approach, this matter could be resolved.

After scaring Mr. Liu, Qian feared the teacher might take revenge on her if he found out and pretended nothing happened as she returned to the ward. The teacher was still awake, so Qian asked.

"Teacher, as a senior psychologist, could you answer so questions for ?" Her tone was modest.

"Is there sothing you don’t understand?" After the recent emotional mutual embrace, Mr. Liu now felt differently when looking at Qian, developing a sense of tenderness as if she were his daughter.

"It’s like this... I know that a professional psychologist must adhere to principles and should never lie to patients or their families. But sotis, the world’s coincidences lead us to a moral dilemma. Teacher, if I lie out of benevolence for a patient, does it an I’m lacking professional ethics?"

Setting a trap, teacher, please fall for it~~
