"If you touch a hair on her head, your Li Zhen will be paralyzed for life. Right now, only Qian can treat Li Zhen and help him walk again."

Yu Minglang’s words stunned Chen Xiaoqian. How did he know?

Yu Minglang gestured towards his eyes, and Qian understood. There must be surveillance equipnt—oh no, did everyone hear her conversation with Li Zhen?

She was careless. If outsiders heard about her treatnt cases, what would she do? Her current identity was just a student, not the top psychologist she was in her previous life!

Qian felt uneasy, but there was no ti to worry about asking more questions now.

Yu Minglang’s threat to the aunt was evidently very effective.

"What did you say? My son can stand again?" the aunt asked in shock.

"He has a psychological illness. When there’s no physical problem with him, the only reason he cannot stand is due to psychological factors."

Qian calmly said to the aunt.

"Is it true, Qian? Can you really cure him?" Mr. Li asked joyfully.

"She’s lying! She’s just a student, she doesn’t know how to treat patients, she’s practicing dicine without a license, she—" Before the aunt could finish, Yu Minglang took out a handkerchief from his pocket and stuffed it into her mouth.

The world beca silent.

"Sorry, aunt, I rushed over after working several nights in a row... You know how busy I am, couldn’t wash the handkerchief, it’s a bit dirty."

More than just a bit dirty, it’s filthy! The aunt was so disgusted she couldn’t spit it out.

How could it not be filthy? Even when busy, Yu Minglang wouldn’t neglect personal hygiene. He deliberately rubbed it in the dirt; this guy is naughty.

"I can cure him," Qian earnestly replied to Mr. Li.

Mr. Li was initially overjoyed but then hesitated. She’s just a child; can she really handle such a complex illness?

The fear of great expectations leading to disappointnt lood large.

"Our Qian is indeed very talented. She once easily identified my little grandson’s problem, and Mr Liu praised her highly, calling her a once-in-a-century genius." Mrs. Yu’s words made Qian blink.

So that’s how the teacher praised her behind her back, quite unexpected.

"Then please help treat Li Zhen, Qian!" Mr. Li earnestly bowed to Qian.

Qian didn’t rush to respond but instead looked in the direction of the aunt. Yu Minglang, acting as Qian’s assistant, understood imdiately, stepped forward, and removed the scarf from the aunt’s mouth, who spat several tis in disgust, full of dirt!

"I disagree! She’s practicing dicine without a license; she’s nothing but a fraud, a super fraud! My son won’t be treated by her; we’ll find another place! I don’t believe we can’t find a more suitable doctor with money!"

The aunt had taken a disliking to Qian from the start. How could she possibly entrust her son to Qian for treatnt?

"Currently, aside from , no one in the country has treatnt experience. Psychosomatic disorders related to psychological factors remain uncharted territory. Auntie, haven’t you in your work encountered patients who, despite having no dical issues found, always feel unwell and stubbornly believe they have so illness?"

Qian asked Mrs. Yu, who nodded imdiately.

"Yes, there was an old gentleman who insisted he had bone spurs. I already did precise tests showing no issues, but he keeps coming back, asking for ointnt. Although ointnts are externally applied, they aren’t good without reason. When I refused, he stopped visiting, probably buying it elsewhere."

Doctors often encounter such people. Not only Mrs. Yu, even the sister-in-law frequently complained about patients relying on symptoms they read in newspaper ads, forcefully associating them with their condition, insisting they have this or that illness, claiming discomfort, distrustful of authoritative dical checks, buying dicine independently. Even without an illness, dicine’s side effects can cause problems.

Just like Qian ntioned, so kids insist on wearing glasses thinking they are nearsighted, in the end, beco nearsighted from wearing them unnecessarily.

"In the future, as information transmission speeds drastically increase with the widespread use of the internet, such patients will beco more common, accounting for even 30%. Many unexplainable dical conditions stem from this; psychologists might misdiagnose them as anxiety disorders, but it’s not accurate. The cause is indeed psychology-related, and Li Zhen falls into this category, although more severe."

"Are you saying he’s faking it?" Mr. Li frowned.

Qian shook her head, "No, just because hospitals can’t find the cause doesn’t an these people are faking it. Poor ntal health can induce adverse bodily reactions. This is also a future direction for dicine, where psychological states directly impact physical health. Stressed individuals suffer hormonal imbalances easily leading to illness. Let give the simplest example: if you tell a cancer patient that many others’ conditions worsen, and they know it, their days are numbered. Keep it from them, and a positive attitude can prolong life. Future dicine will increasingly value holistic treatnt, harmonizing body and mind, referred to as holistic dicine."

Complicated matters were explained by Qian in the simplest terms, making even soone like the aunt with less intellect understand.

"So, can you treat Li Zhen?" Mr. Li’s hope ignited; Qian’s words were deeply moving, instilling trust because of her expertise.

"The aunt disagrees, right?" Qian responded with a question.

"I do not agree!!!" and uncle glared at the aunt, wishing to mimic Minglang’s gesture of shutting her mouth!

Qian shrugged.

"See, she disagrees, so I won’t force it. Uncle, Auntie, let’s go back." Qian said to Mr. Yu and Mrs. Yu.

Sharing a glance with Yu Minglang, his eyes filled with amusent, Qian averted her eyes, knowing he’d seen through her act of playing hard to get.

"Let’s go, say goodbye to Li Zhen, and then we’ll leave." Qian held Minglang’s hand, pulling him into the ward.

Mr. Li, face filled with anger, reproached the aunt, "Stay out of the child’s matters!"

"She’s just a student, Li, you’re so gullible to be manipulated by a little girl! She’s deceiving you!"

The aunt’s words drew dissatisfaction from Mr. Yu, who had not yet settled previous scores with her and now finds her embarrassing the family!

"My family’s Qian has nothing worth deceiving you for! It’s your dirty mind seeing everyone as dirty!"

"Bro!!!" The aunt was provoked by her brother’s harsh words.

From childhood until now, when had Mr. Yu spoken to her like this? What had Chen Xiaoqian given them that so thoroughly bewitched everyone?

"You know your behavior well. In the future, face your consequences yourself. You say Qian deceives you? Fine! We’ll leave. If you can’t find treatnt later, don’t bother us. I don’t have an out-of-turn sister like you!"
