"I’m not eating that, Gou Sheng, keep it for yourself." Qian turned her head and opened her mouth to catch the perfectly-warm oyster prepared by Yu Minglang. Grilled oysters are the most delicious food, but there’s an art to eating them; they can’t be too hot or too cold, or they’ll lose their freshness.
Qian would always have Minglang, who wasn’t afraid of the heat, remove the at and blow on it for a few seconds, she just had to wait to eat.
Narcissus watched as everyone paired off, looking at the barbecue grill with a sulking face.
Back when she was with Dadao, she too enjoyed being served. Now she could only watch others show off their love.
The scene was too emotional. While others were being sweet, she was reminiscing about the past and feeling the pain of loss. "We still have so much alcohol left; just drinking it is no fun, how about we play a ga?" Qian suggested.
"What kind of ga?" Liui asked.
"Let’s play a ’Don’t Laugh or You’ll Face Truth or Dare’ ga."
"How do we play?" Everyone looked at Qian.
"We pair up, and take turns asking and answering. The other person can neither laugh nor make a facial expression; they can only answer ’yes’ or ’no’. If they laugh or show an expression, they must accept the other’s punishnt: a dare or a truth challenge. How about it?"
Everyone agreed to play, feeling that a little fun was needed when drinking happily. Narcissus, despite feeling down, was dragged by Qian to join in.
Yu Minglang started organizing people to draw lots; the first pair was Yu Minglang and Fugui, with Yu Minglang asking the questions.
Dealing with these intellectuals, tricky Lang had barely to lift a finger.
"Have you had a crush on our Liui for a long ti?"
The question made Fugui blush, and Liui too. Fugui replied with a ’yes.’
"Have you already slept with my sister?" Minglang’s second question was utterly shaless!
"Cough, how, how could that be!"
Fugui turned crimson, and Liui glared at Minglang, "Brother, we’ve only been dating a few days; isn’t it a bit early to say that?"
"You lost. You must answer ’yes’ or ’no’. Co on, man up!"
They’d only been dating a few days and already having to kiss — things were moving too fast. Liui and Fugui exchanged a glance and then both noticed each other’s extrely flushed faces.
"What’s the matter? Accept your loss like a man, co on!" Qian joined Minglang in teasing.
n fear being called anything but n, so Fugui summoned unprecedented courage and pulled Liui in for a kiss!
It was as soft as cotton candy, with a hint of cumin...
They couldn’t stop, perfectly proving that intellectuals aren’t casual people, but once they get going, they’re unstoppable!
Yu Minglang checked his watch as ti passed, unable to stand it any longer.
"Are you two done yet?"
Only then did Fugui pull away from Liui, their hearts pounding hard.
The drawing continued, and Liui ended up with Yu Minglang again, with Minglang asking the questions.
"Is Fugui a terrible kisser?"
"No!" Liui, learning from Fugui’s earlier pitfall, answered carefully. Though her face was hot, she didn’t get lured into her brother’s trap.
"Have you been secretly liking Fugui for a while? A few months ago, I heard you talking in your sleep saying ’Brother Fugui!’"
"Nonsense! We didn’t even know each other a few months ago!" Liui fell for it again...
As she realized, she only saw Minglang’s crafty grin and Qian shaking her head.
"It’s all a setup, all traps," Qian observed as Minglang scored two consecutive wins. She didn’t know whether to lant that Liui and Fugui were too naive or that Xiaoqiang was too shaless.
"This doesn’t count! Sister-in-law, look at the nonsense my brother is asking! It doesn’t even count!" Liui protested.
"If you lose, take it like a man. Why all the fuss?" Yu Minglang spared no one, not even his sister, except his wife.
"Xiaoqiang, co on, Liui only started calling out for Brother Fugui a few nights ago, and now you’re saying it’s been months?"
"Sister-in-law! How can you team up with my brother like this!" Liui was on the verge of jumping into the sea to disappear. Could a brother and sister-in-law be so an?
Fugui was quite satisfied, realizing she thought of him that way. In reality, he also dread of her often, ever since they’d known each other, thanking heavens for reciprocated feelings.
"It doesn’t matter how I got you to say it; losing is losing. How about this, brother won’t bully you, just a truth question then."
Yu Minglang looked serious, "Liui, who did you have your first kiss with?"
