Looking at Wu Tian, who maintained his composure even now, Nalan Feng burst into laughter. This was the first ti he had ever seen soone so oblivious to their imminent death. Daring to call him a beast right to his face? Nalan Feng had never encountered such a thing. No, he then rembered the incident in King Arthur’s kitchen. Now, old grievances and new hatreds were truly coming to a head.
"Security!" Nalan Feng roared.
The surrounding security guards trembled at his voice and braced themselves, stepping forward. They all feared this young master of the Nalan Family. Even though they were the family’s security, they too believed their young master was no better than a beast.

"So, you’re not deaf after all." A cruel sneer touched Nalan Feng’s lips as his gaze returned to Wu Tian, growing even more brutal. "Now go, break his limbs and gouge out his eyes."
Hearing Nalan Feng’s vicious order, the guards’ faces instantly turned ashen. This was because the Four Great Families still feared the governnt. Normally, whenever Nalan Feng wanted to gouge soone’s eyes out, he had to find a scapegoat who would then be sent to prison. His promises, like "I will take care of your family, you can go in peace," could never be trusted. The guards had privately investigated and discovered that while Nalan Feng might initially be sowhat kind to a scapegoat’s family, he would soon stop caring whether they lived or died.
One of the guards, who had seen Wu Tian arrive with Xia Qian, imdiately said, "We can’t! He is—"

Before he could finish, Nalan Feng brutally slapped him across the face, knocking out so of his teeth.
"Did I give you permission to speak? When I tell you to hit him, you hit him! What’s all this nonsense? Are you asking for a beating?" Nalan Feng’s true colors were revealed. He was suprely arrogant, thinking nothing of striking a guard, who in his eyes, was less than human.
The guard’s face was bruised and already swelling, but he kept his head bowed, not daring to look at Nalan Feng with anger or to say another word. Nalan Feng himself had no real ability, but he ca from a powerful family. Thinking of his own children, the guard could only stand weakly to the side.
Seeing this, the other guards also lowered their heads. Are we just slaves? They were furious, but under the circumstances, they didn’t dare utter a single sound.
"My Nalan Family is the number one family in Yang City." Nalan Feng saw this as a good opportunity to establish his authority. He surveyed the crowd and declared, "I am the only one who beats others! Who would ever dare to beat ?"
"Did reading too many novels rot your brain?" Just as Nalan Feng finished speaking, Wu Tian stepped forward and delivered a slap of his own.

A dead silence fell over the area.

Everyone was stunned. Madness! He’s far too arrogant! To dare say such a thing to Nalan Feng ant he wasn’t just facing having his eyes gouged out—Nalan Feng would probably try to kill him.
"AH! You bastard, I’m going to kill you!"
As expected, being slapped in front of everyone was a monuntal disgrace for Nalan Feng. His face was swollen like a pig’s, with blood trickling from the corner of his mouth where several teeth were now missing. He looked utterly wretched and as ferocious as a demon. His eyes, like those of a wild beast, were locked on Wu Tian, filled with venomous hatred.
"Do you have any idea what’s going to happen to you? I’m going to gouge out your eyes, break your legs, and reduce you to sothing that is neither human nor ghost!"
Nalan Feng’s expression was horrific, no longer human. It was obvious to everyone that he now had murderous intent. Murder violated the city’s laws, but for people with power, rules were often aningless. Everyone secretly thought that Wu Tian was done for.
But Wu Tian’s face still held a gentle, calm smile.
"How others treat is how I shall treat them. That is the proper way to conduct oneself," Wu Tian said with a light and breezy tone, as if discussing a trivial matter. "Alright then, I’ll grant your wish. I’ll gouge out your eyes and break your legs, leaving you neither human nor ghost."
This guy is a lunatic. Hearing Wu Tian’s words, everyone was shocked as the thought surfaced in their minds.
"This guy is courting death," Lin Tianlong stated.
"I’ve never seen such a death-seeking fool. To think I once considered him my only rival in this life," Nangong Yi said with an elegant smile. "It seems I overestimated him."
Everyone felt that Wu Tian was dood.
"Surround him! Surround him! He’s going to try and run!" Nalan Feng scread frantically.
Several security guards moved at once, circling Wu Tian.
Wu Tian smiled helplessly. Nalan Feng was overthinking it. In his entire life, Wu Tian had never understood the aning of the word "flee."

In a refined room high up in the building, Nalan Jie was hosting his teacher, Xiao Liang.
