He Qingjie opened his eyes, a wave of astonishnt washing over him. I only followed instructions... I can’t believe I actually took all three of them down. The three n chasing him were special forces from another dynasty, while he was just a clerk. The ability to defeat them was frankly shocking.
"Who was that?" He Qingjie looked around. "Who just spoke and guided ?" He wanted to thank the person responsible.
That person didn’t just save ; they saved the Dragon Dynasty. I have obtained a critical piece of information through a secret channel and must report it to my own dynasty. This is an imnse favor. I must repay it!
He had nothing on him at the mont, but he still wanted to at least bow toward his benefactor to express his gratitude.

"You’re in the holand!" Hearing Wu Tian’s voice, He Qingjie’s head snapped up, his face lighting up with joyful surprise.

"What is it?" Wu Tian, still at ho in Yang City, felt a sudden sense of foreboding and could not help but ask.
He Qingjie hesitated for a mont but ultimately decided to trust Wu Tian. "Martial God, the other dynasties are using coercive tactics to force the Dragon Dynasty to deal with you. It’s not just our units stationed in their territories that are suffering; they are also preparing to dispatch troops to the border."

Back in Yang City of the Dragon Dynasty, Wu Tian rose from the sofa.
"What’s wrong?" Murong Yezi and Qin Yuhan both asked.
Wu Tian’s expression was grim, an irrepressible, bone-chilling coldness emanating from his eyes.
"This matter started because of , so it should be ended by ," Wu Tian murmured. Then, he announced aloud, "I’m heading out! Don’t worry about a thing. I’ll be back soon!"
The mont his voice faded, he was gone in a flash of lightning, vanishing before their very eyes.
"What did he an by that?" Qin Yuhan and Murong Yezi still had no idea where Wu Tian had gone.
Only the little one pouted. "He went off to be a hero, but he didn’t take with him!"
Finally, the little one suddenly looked at Qin Yuhan and Murong Yezi and asked with a serious and earnest expression, "Grandma, Mom, have you noticed that Dad doesn’t seem to love anymore lately?"
Qin Yuhan and Murong Yezi exchanged a look. What could they say to that? How could they possibly respond?
Night had fallen, the sky a terrifying, starless curtain.
Wu Tian streaked across the heavens like a teor. Many people on the ground saw this shooting star and, for a mont, thought it was nothing more.
Wu Tian’s speed was incredible. Ten minutes later, he arrived at the Dragon Dynasty’s border, at the very location of the Dragon Gate. The structure was now in ruins, as if it had been brutally smashed by sothing imnse and heavy.
Seeing this, Wu Tian’s gaze grew even colder. Where are the soldiers who guard the Dragon Gate? Where did they go?
Sweeping the area with his Spiritual Sense, he saw bodies lying not far away. They were the corpses of soldiers. They had chosen death over surrender.
The nearby border villages were scenes of utter devastation, marked by vast patches of dried, blackened blood and the bodies of villagers sprawled on the ground.
Wu Tian expanded his Spiritual Sense further and saw fleeing villagers. They were gathered in groups, but there were no soldiers protecting them.
Wu Tian frowned slightly. Our dynasty’s army must have fought here already. If so, as the villagers evacuated the border, our soldiers should have been escorting and protecting them. Why aren’t they here?

But Wu Tian simply kicked him.
"AARGH!"
Zheng Nong was killed instantly.

He then turned to the Dragon Dynasty soldiers, his brow slightly furrowed. "Are you all that’s left of the soldiers stationed at the border?"
Seeing the Martial God, the soldiers were overjoyed. One of them replied, "No, sir! Most of our forces went to lure away the enemy dynasty’s soldiers. We were assigned to help the civilians evacuate."
Wu Tian nodded. "You have done well. Rember, you serve the people, not a select few!"
As his voice fell, Wu Tian’s keen hearing picked up the distant sound of cannon fire. The blasts weren’t coming from the border, but from the direction of the Dragon Dynasty’s capital—Longjing.
