Now reading: Chapter 129: Harbinger of the Dawn Part 2 from Return of the Mythic Bloodline, a Action novel by Agnivrat03.

My left hand, carrying the sword, was being pushed by Jamie while my right hand was busy holding the whip of Theoran.

I clenched my teeth, tightened my grip on both weapons, and released the violent lightning from my hands that traveled through the blade and lash before striking the two with an electric shock.

Jamie's grip on my sword loosened, and he imdiately retreated a few steps back.

anwhile, Theoran had to abandon his whip as I burned it down with the continuous release of sparks.

"You are stronger than I thought," Jamie stated, looking at his shivering hand that had turned black from the shock. "I will take you seriously from—"

"Blink."

When my "Blink" leveled up last ti, Victor couldn't even sense sprinting, so Theoran, who was obviously in a lower realm than him, had no chance of predicting my attack.

He was reaching for another weapon in his space ring, but before he could even register the motion, my sword was already buried in his throat.

Following a spray of blood, I pulled out the blade, and Theoran, his whole body trembling, fell onto the ground holding his throat.

After a minute of struggling to breathe, his body succumbed to the underworld.

"Quit yapping the cliché lines like 'I will take you seriously from now on,' 'I will show you my true power,' 'No one pushed this far,' blah-blah-blah," I murmured, rubbing my forehead. "Fuck, my head is also aching now."

Since the mont I began fighting them in this battered body, sothing kept raging inside .

It was like a huge wall was about to break, and it was aching through my whole body.

"Alert!! Only 5% Soulforce is remaining."

"Huh? But I didn't even use any Soulforce-consuming skills!" I shouted inwardly.

"The lightning strike Vivi used to temporarily weaken the Host's body continued for two weeks straight, resulting in the low reserve of Soulforce."

"Why didn't you tell that thod consud Soulforce as well!?"

"The Host still would have chosen to do it, so Vivi skipped that unnecessary information."

"Hah! Stop acting like you know ," I scoffed, but then letting out a brief sigh, I said softly, "just forget it."

While I was bickering with Vivi, Jamie, boiling in fury from my remarks, muttered,

"I will crush you, cocky bastard!"

He grabbed his massive axe again and shouted,

"Steel Body!"

A grey aura evaporated from his skin, his body turned tallic, and his black axe began radiating as Soulforce from his hands enveloped it.

"What the fuck," I murmured, squinting my eyes.

From the mont I activated Eyes of the Fallen, only one or two black stars appeared on his body, showing his weak points.

But now, his whole body appeared to be one large black star.

"Bwahaha, that's ridiculous," I laughed, slapping my forehead repeatedly. "Steel Body, you said?"

"Vivi, turn off the Eyes of the Fallen."

"Initializing Host's request…"

"Eyes of the Fallen is deactivated."

"Ughh, my legs are also aching now," I whimpered, dragging my steps toward Jamie.

"I will change my na to a dog if I don't sever your head and drink alcohol from your skull," Jamie announced, bolting at .

The instant he reached closer, he struck the dirt floor with the flat part of his axe, splitting the stage into several parts.

As the dirt leapt into the air, he swung his sword like a baseball bat, forcing all the dust toward .

"Oy, my legs and eyes are already hurting," I hissed. "Why would you break the stage and throw dirt in my eyes?"

"Shut your mouth, lunatic!"

With a violent whoosh, his axe ca at in a horizontal motion and clashed with my sword, forcing a few steps back.

Clang...

A deafening sound of tal hitting tal followed by intense sparks echoed through the cage.

Realizing that I had been pushed back, he began a successive barrage of violent horizontal, vertical, and diagonal slashes at .

Although not even one of his attacks could move past Vajra, my knees began bending, and the ground beneath started to split from the pressure of his heavy strikes.

Just as my knees were about to touch the ground, I murmured, "If I kneel, Vyaghra will get mad again."

Ding...

"The lingering effect of lightning attacks on Host's body is gone.

Your muscle and bone density have returned to normal!"

Tang...

I caught the incoming axe blade with my bare hand, slowly straightened my knees, and—

Crack!!!

The axe shattered as I tightened my grip.

"Im-impossible," Jamie gasped, his eyes widening in shock.

He imdiately tried to retreat, but I let go of the sword in my other hand and landed a thundering uppercut on his chin, sending him flying into the air.

While his body was still suspended, I leapt off the ground, reaching above him, and clenched my hand into a fist as lightning flickered through my entire arm.

"Y-you can't kill . I-Im not Victor's guard. I-I was... sent by El Dora—"

A blinding flash, litting every corner of the arena, followed by a booming sound loud enough to bleed the ears, erupted from the cage.

Jamie's tallic body, the best conductor of electricity, broke into several pieces the mont I struck him.

As the smoke and dust subsided within the cage, a huge crater in the shape of a punch was imprinted on the floor.

Jamie's head—the only remaining part of his body—lay at the center of the crater, and before the head, I stood, breathing heavily.

"Alert!! 0% Soulforce remaining...

Host might fall unconscious due to lack of Soulforce."

"Alert!!! The Host is about to break through. Do not fall unconscious or you might fail the breakthrough!!"

A golden aura erged from my skin, my body began heating up, and all my wounds started vanishing.

"He-he is sent by the Gods to bring the dawn in the Abandoned Land," a voice echoed outside the cage.

The slaves of all three mines, along with Jambavan and Vyaghra, were surrounding the cage, looking at .

I hadn't realized before, due to my focus on the battle, that most of the guards were dead, while the remaining were on their knees, already surrendered.

"Hahaha!" Jambavan laughed as he declared, "He is truly a Harbinger of the Dawn."
